Welcome to our condo at The Sundial Lodge located at The Canyons Village Resort now operated by Vail Corporation. We live in the Chicago/Boston/NYC area and have enjoyed The Canyons Resort since its inception. Every year it gets better and better. We were one of the family's who were able to choose their unit before construction. We chose our unit based on the floor plan, views and location. The best feature is the ability to walk out the door and right on to the lifts, ski rental and resort. This alone makes the trip so enjoyable and the 30 min drive from SLC airport. The large open great room space enables great family time. We have made so many memories and traditions here. Looking forward to helping you have a great experience and build memories of your own at The Sundial Lodge.
The Sundial Lodge has a boutique feel with all the amenities of a large hotel. Front Desk Service 24/7. Sundial Lodge has the best location to head up to the mountain or enjoy the resort village. EASY ACCESS FROM SALT LAKE CITY AIRPORT
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sundial. The location couldn't be better being steps from the Gondola, ski rentals and places to eat. We would opt out of the expensive mountain lunches and just pop in to eat lunch and because of the location this is very easy to do and not lose time on the mountain. The unit feels so cozy like staying in someone's home and is stocked with everything you could imagine. Karen is wonderful and prompt at replying to any questions and makes it a priority to see that you have what you need and enjoy your stay.
We were extremely pleased overall with our stay at Sundial. Family of 5 and we had a great time. Great spot, lovely condo, and the owner (Karen) is great to work with. Our only issue was some confusion and delay during late check-in (1am), but Sundial staff and Karen were very attentive to things once we got hold of them and all got resolved. Would definitely come back to this condo!
A group of us just stayed in this wonderful condo for Sundance Film Festival.
The location is perfectly located to the mountain and resort . It is a truly ski in and out location which made it so easy to come and go. We also went to town for the screening of movies and use the resort shuttle. We walked to the main lifts and from the condo could see when everyone was lining up in the morning and the beautiful mountain views and resort. It was great to watch the energy of getting the resort going in the am, listening to the music from the balcony and all the views this condo offers. The beds were comfy, condo was clean and had many extra things that you couldn't bring with you when traveling.
We would defiantly recommend this unit highly and the owner. She was so helpful with the reservation, resort information and any need we had about our travel plans.

The layout of the condo was excellent for a 4 person family (we are greedy for space/privacy). The kitchen was well-stocked and very easy to cook meals with lots of space for cooking and dining room table. It did not feel like a ski condo, but more like a home.
A BEAUTIFUL condo with the BEST location, and is equipped with EVERYTHING that anyone could possibly need. From the many HUGE windows, you can see the mountain and the entire base. Each morning, a stop at the ski check off the lobby, then just a very short walk to the gondola. The condo is equipped with anything that you could need...lots of extra pillows, blankets, and towels (and excellent quality in all of these items). The kitchen is fully stocked with an abundance of pots, pans, bowls, dishes, silverware, and glasses. The entire door of the refrigerator is filled with condiments. You name it, it's in the kitchen! A Keurig too! Only thing we couldn't find was an ice cream scooper! The condo has two comfy couches in the Great Room, as well as one in the master bedroom. The condo is spacious with a nice layout. Staying in this condo makes you feel like you are staying in someone's home, as opposed to a standard bare rental. We played several of the family games that are there, especially liking the electronic trivia game.
The owner was a pleasure to deal with, with prompt replies. We communicated by phone, text, and email. The bellhops/ski check guys spoke VERY highly of the owner. Each year, we spend a week out west at a different resort for our ski vacation, and this owner is the best one and most personal one whom I have dealt with. And this condo is the best one that we have stayed in. Thank you for sharing your condo with us!
Very comfortable and cozy condo to stay at and location is awesome. Easy walk to gondola, ski storage in lobby, all the necessary village stores, restaurants and bars that you need. Covered parking space provided which was nice and convenient. Plenty of space for 2 small families. Kids loved the heated pool and hot tub (pool towels available). Like prior reviews, excellent linens and towels, comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. Owner communicated promptly and gave lots of suggestions - very thoughtful. They have definitely put a lot of care and effort into making this an excellent condo to ensure repeat visitors. My only small suggestion is to occasionally clear out the kitchen cabinets which were bursting with left over spices, oils, non-perishables. There wasn't a lot of space to store our groceries. Also, the closets were well stocked with linens and towels but not a lot of space for clothes. I easily moved some linens around to make room for our stuff which was easy enough. Would definitely stay here again and again.
