Great Apartment in downtown Marblehead

  • 5 of 5

This was a great apartment for visiting Marblehead. Absolutely perfect location. We walked everywhere, restaurants, shopping, Fort Sewall, Crocker Park for swimming, etc. It had a comfortable living room for hanging out and a good kitchen for cooking if you choose. John, the owner, was very helpful and responded quickly to questions.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

John was a caring host offering us use of chairs, beach towels and a blanket at the park and he helped us turn on the tv and dvd player when we encountered some difficulty. We stayed here for a week during the Marblehead Festival of Arts and General Glover's Regiment's annual encampment at Ft. Sewall. This apt. was a beautiful place in the heart of a beautiful town. We were grateful for the opportunity to stay here. Thank you, again, John!

Lovely apartment in the heart of our nations history

  • 4 of 5

We loved the old charm of this apartment. It was very close to restaurants, grocery stores, museums, and shopping. We walked everywhere in Marblehead and enjoyed many aspects of this historical town. The apartment was comfortable and had everything that we needed and more. The owner was very kind and helpful and made sure that we had everything that we needed and so informative of the sites of the town. We will definitely be back. The only reason that I gave it a four instead of a five is because if you are comparing it to other properties, it is a very old house and you can occasionally hear your neighbors. We never had a problem with anyone being too loud but we were more concerned about my excited children being too loud for others. We never had any complaints from anyone as far as I know and we would expect that when staying in an old home. That was part of the charm. I would very definitely return to this lovely town and would most definitely hope to stay at this same apartment. I don't think you could get a more central location. It was perfect. Thank you for the wonderful time that we had in Marblehead!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your concern about the neighbors, but the one thing "Old Houses" have in their favor is that they were built by craftsmen and built well. There is very little noise that travels through the walls and I haven't heard that anyone was disturbed. Look forward to your return!

Long weekend with family

  • 5 of 5

I came into Marblehead to spend some time with my daughter and grandson and we had a real good time. The area and apartment was New England charming. We walked to most everything and the accommodations had everything we needed. I would recommend it to anyone. John helped me immensely in navigating from Logan Airport to the apartment and everything went off without a hitch. Would love to come back again.

Very comfortable and conveinent. Great location in the historic district of Marblehead.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent the whole month of November in Marblehead while my daughter was having a baby and during the Thanksgiving holiday. Our family spent Thanksgiving at the apartment and loved it. John is a great guy and very accommodating. The apartment has everything you need to buy your own food and cook your own meals. It is within walking distance to the grocery store, shops, and restaurants. The Master bedroom is very comfortable and the neighborhood is very quiet. Marblehead is very historic and scenic.

We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The costal town of Marblehead, MA, is well known for its historical significance, its beautiful harbor, and of course, for the sailing! Our apartment, only steps away from the atlantic ocean, quaint and historic 'Old town', and a bustling downtown chalk-full of award winning restaurants and shopping, is perfect for everyone from families with children to couples looking for a quiet weekend getaway. Devereaux Beach or any of the yacht clubs are always a great time on a sunny day, while the shops and museums of downtown offer perfect rainy day activities. Nearby Salem is host to a number of witch-themed attractions, as well as wonderful restaurants and the Peabody Essex Museum (a personal favorite!), and the beautiful city of Boston is only a half an hour drive, or a 45 minute train ride, perfect for day tripping!
