Short Stay Lodgings is located in urban downtown Olympia walking distance to SWING wine bar and Fishtale Brewery, Washington Center for Performing Arts, children's Hands-on Museum, State Capitol.

Short Stay invites you to a hotel experience but in an apartment/condo setting. 910 is our upstairs and 912 is downstairs. Our private two bedroom fully furnished downtown apartments are perfect overnight short or extended stay hotel solutions for business, transition, or vacation travel. Book your reservations by day, week, or month on line or by phone.

We have recently added our West Side Guest House which is an apartment home in a duplex on 1/4 acre.

The West side Guest Home is in very nice quiet neighborhood with easy and free parking. Each nicely appointed Guest room has it's own lock and key and is furnished with a queen bed or twin beds and is appropriate for one or two guests. It is available by the week or by the month for up to four months. It is a fully furnished apartment with all the comforts of our downtown setting such as a fully loaded kitchen with seating for 6, full living room, bathroom, deck, and a fenced park like back yard with a deck.

Around the corner is a neighborhood favorite cafe open for breakfast and lunch and dinner with organic food and latte's. The Westside Olympia Co-op is only a two block walk for fresh local organic vegetables every day.

The home is on a bus line with easy access to both The State Capitol, downtown, hospitals, TESC, and the mall. There is also plenty of parking. The setting is park like with an outdoor deck overlooking the large private fenced yard with big trees.

The Olympia Westside Guest House has a living room, dining room, recreation room, fully loaded kitchen including wine glasses and coffee grinder. Large screen TV with all cable and HBO is in the living room. FREE Wireless Internet is through out the home. Washer/dryer/dishwasher.

This is a smoke free home, no pets, and guests must be 21 years or older.

This property does have steps. It is appropriate for travelers, legislature, mature families, and other short term business trips to Olympia. The Rate is based on four guests with a small fee for additional guests. Please call or e-mail for discounts available on extended stay rentals

Most of Olympia's amenities are within just a few blocks. We are only about 10 minutes to The Evergreen State College and many families from TESC stay with us when coming to Olympia.

We are fast becoming the family favorite by providing extra bedrooms for visiting aunts and uncles, and especially grandparents. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything from coffee maker to popcorn maker.

Each unit at Short Stay is 1100 square feet of privacy, convenience, and comfort including a washer and dryer and dishwasher. (No pets here - allergy free - organic cleaning only)

We can also provide meeting space for groups of up to twelve people upon request. This works very well for Board meetings when members are coming from Portland and Seattle. Olympia is South Sound's central hub. Catering is also available. Please make inquiries with our events coordinator. We have garden and outdoor living space with a barbeque.

Vince and I celebrating two years of bliss downtown Olympia at Anthony's Restaurant on the waterfront and walking distance to Short Stay Lodgings. I am also a real estate agent at Green Village Realty for first time home buyers, low impact development and co-housing.

I Have lived in Olympia since 1983 and graduated TESC in 1987. I love sailing, reading, cinema, and dogs and dogs who love sailing. I love the downtown for all the arts and restaurants and used book stores. Olympia has much to offer and supported all my business enterprises from the beginning. Other businesses I have owned and operated since I moved here. Lightwing Airbrush Clothing Company, 1st Expresso cart in Olympia at the Farmer's Market, and Jinjor. I have been a member of Zonta, Chamber, VCB, Procession of the Species, Olympia Downtown Association, Past President of Northwest Eco-Building Guild, President of Shalom Sisterhood of Olympia, On the board of Indigo Farms Olympia, and presently practice Real Estate with Green Village Realty promoting sustainable development and helping to promote small farms.

LOCATION-LOCATION -LOCATION- I LOVE THE DOWNTOWN AND ALL IT HAS TO OFFER! I owned JINJOR a Woman's Clothing Boutique in downtown Olympia for about 20 years. I catered to many woman who were dressing for special occasions and they were always asking me for a place their families could come for a week or more that had a full kitchen. I designed Short Stay Lodgings to be a Home Away From Home for all of our travelers. Corporate Stay or Grandparents love our kitchens. Downtown Olympia has a taste of everything from the State Capitol to museums and the world class Washington Center for the Performing Arts(only two blocks away) Olympia has so much to offer of old world charm which you can see in some of the classic old well maintained buildings in the downtown core such as the Security Building which is home to DillInger's Restaurant. I have always enjoyed walking or biking to the waterfront or the downtown boutiques and cafe's. 910 Franklin seemed like the perfect spot. Europeans seem to particularly appreciate the elegant and functional decor. It is a clean, quiet, and comfortable place to retreat in the heart of downtown Olympia.

Attention foodies: Our kitchens are fully loaded and we are very close to Farmers Market and Bayview Market. the Evergreen State College, the Olympia State Capitol, Legislature, and all the shopping and cafe's, boutiques, wine bar, Batdorf and Bronson and more are all within walking distance.

Short Stay also provides a washer and dryer for your convenience in both our units including organic laundry soap.

Great location and very clean but a little pricey for what you get.

The upstairs unit was a pleasant place to stay but on the pricey side. It is a nice quiet neighborhood with adequate parking. Easy to walk downtown, to the capitol, library, Hands on Museum and Farmers Market. The queen bed in the back bedroom only had a twin or full comforter on it and no other blanket making nighttime a tug of war with two people in the bed and the mattress was not comfortable. We switched to the front bedroom where the bed was more comfortable and had a queen blanket on a queen bed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, etc.. We appreciated having a few spices and salt and pepper provided. The porch light was burned out and never got fixed even though we requested it. We often returned in the dark and would have appreciated it being fixed. Good television but no guide to tell you what the stations were. Had to scroll on the guide on the TV to find the stations. Could not find a pencil, pen or piece of paper to write notes on. It is nicely furnished, but is not what we would call "the best" furnished as advertised. Probably will look for a less expensive place to stay next year.

Owner's Response: Sorry we could not meet all your standards. We try very hard. I normally would have had the light bulb fixed right away but I had a major dental oral surgery that week and was not up to my usual standard of taking care of every detail. Enjoying the fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit along with all the other amenities such as HBO and FREE WIFI seem like a fair deal for two bedrooms as well. The Belagio -it is not! I admit it but we take great pride in our cleanliness and elegant simplicity. There were additional blankets in both closets and in the bench in the front room so sorry you did not find additional warmth and comfort. We can't bee the perfect spot for all but we do give it our best effort.

Comfy spot near the Capitol and downtown

My partner and I stayed at Short Stay Lodgings while visiting family in Olympia. The apartment is clean, fully and tastefully furnished with a full kitchen so we didn't have to spend any money eating out, and is like staying at a friend's house, not at all like a motel.

Also, it felt good staying in a place that uses all green products to clean and has all natural fiber bedding. No chance of chemical sensitivities, and the owner also guarantees no pets, so there's no chance of allergies either. It's right next to a really cool community garden that you can hang out in, and right across the street from a fabulous library. Also, right in the middle between downtown and the Capitol, both an easy walk. I'd stay again next time we come.

Wonderful Stay in Downtown Olympia

Shortstay Lodgings offered a lovely stay, within walking distance of just about everything we wanted to do in Olympia. The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming. Not only the interior, but the garden spaces outside provided a welcome retreat after shopping and dining downtown, and browsing the library bookshelves just a block away. Thank you for the home away from home. It was great!

You can walk to any downtown shops, cafes, theaters. the YMCA is two blocks and has an indoor swimming pool and work-out facilities. This is a great location for legislative housing as we are walking distance to the state Capitol. We also have an additional three bedroom apartment home on the westside of Olympia with all the same amenities as our downtown apartments. Give us a call for Legislative rates. Extended stays must be booked by talking with the owner for special rates. Please give us a call with any questions.

Cancellations are handled on a case by case basis. If we can rebook your room for dates then only an ADMIN FEE will be charged to your credit card for 15% of the entire reservation fee. Guests have suggested this company but there are many so do check and compare prior to purchase of any insurance. For extended stay you may wish to purchase rentors insurance insurance as well.
