About Elaine Hoffman

I am a potter who loves to get my hands in clay.

Hands in dirt is not a bad thing either, as I love to garden ,as well.

I have a large vegetable garden and perennial gardens all around the property. If you are here in season, you may be able to partake of my garden vegetables and/or flowers to decorate the farmhouse.

I also love to hike the trails right out the door- Up the mountains, and down to the river.

These are a few of my favorite things!

I hope that you can come and enjoy them too.

Elaine Hoffman purchased this farmhouse in 1965

Why Elaine Hoffman chose Berkshires

This Farmhouse has been in the family for nearly 50 years. We have developed the land and buildings and have enjoyed its solemnity and tranquility.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The farmhouse is just 2 miles from downtown West Stockbridge where shopping necessities, galleries, restaurants, playgrounds, tennis, and swimming are all available.

It is within 10 minutes from Tanglewood, theatres, movies, museums and other cultural activities, as well as ski resorts.

And yet a lovely place to just sit and contemplate on the screened in porch overlooking the fields, gardens, stream and wooded mountains.

Return again, yes!

  • 5 of 5

After many years of wanting to travel east, I finally made it to the

Berkshires. What a treat! I was delighted by my stay at an old farm

house so lovingly cared for by Elaine, the owner.

It offered a quiet, clean, comfy and beautiful spot to relax and recreate.

It gave me a sense of history, yet I could use the wifi to stay connected

- best of both worlds.

Elaine's hospitality and knowledge of the area's art/craft scene was

especially appreciated and she has an amazing pottery studio just across

the field.

If you are looking for a beautiful spot to stay in the Berkshires I

heartily recommend Elaine's farmhouse. You won't be disappointed. You

will be a returning customer.

Charming Farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

We're a group of five high school friends who get together yearly for a long weekend reunion. Elaine's house was just perfect for us--comfortable, roomy and well equipped not to mention charming! For an older home, it is extremely well maintained. The screened in porch was our favorite place to gather. The location was great with easy access to the many adventures that the area has to offer. Elaine was wonderful to work with and a good host once we arrived. We highly recommend.

Enjoyable weekend

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 5 had a relaxing stay at Elaine's farmhouse. Elaine is a thoughtful hostess and the house is very comfortable. We were in town for a "family yoga weekend" at Kripalu and we all enjoyed having space to stretch out and relax in the afternoon and evening. Kripalu is only a few minutes drive from the farmhouse, so the location was very convenient for us. We would love to visit again. Thanks Elaine!

Enjoyable Farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

Our group of eight adults had a very wonderful experience at Elaine's Berkshire farmhouse. We found it in excellent condition. Full kitchen had everything we needed to create some wonderful meals. The house itself was very comfortable with room for all and did not feel crowded. Elaine is very warm and hospitable - a great hostess! So much fun to visit her pottery shop out back. I'd like to return with the kids sometime! I highly recommend a stay here.

A wonderful weekend

  • 5 of 5

Some girlfriends and I decided to meet up for a weekend and found this wonderful home which was super convenient for all of us - some coming from MA others from upstate NY. When we arrived we received a guided tour of the home which had everything we were looking for. An extremely well stocked kitchen, plenty of space, plenty of beds, wi-fi, a beautiful and huge dining room table, sun porch, was was incredibly clean. The house has amazing charm and we were surprised at how cozy and warm it was considering it's an old farm house - not a draft to be found! The pottery studio out back was full of amazing and unique pottery and the walking trails around the property were fantastic too; Elaine was kind enough to point us in the right direction to access a pretty trail. One afternoon we headed into downtown West Stockbridge (which was right down the road) and we were so surprised to find such a cute downtown full of restaurants and local shops.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice getaway - we are already in the planning stages of our next visit.

Thanks for such a great weekend Elaine.
