We were there for the Oklahoma Train Show in December & we really had a wonderful time staying at "Paradise in the City" Neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. There were 4 couples, so we each had our own room, and there was plenty of space to move around, so we didn't bump into each other. We had all our meals at the house, which made it nice to get together at the end of the day.
We're planning on staying here again next year!
Thank you indeed for your kind words. Our goal is to extend great hospitality to our guests. We diligently work on this priority to provide you with even more amenities. We will love to host you again & again.
Spacious, lovely, comfortable home in nice, quiet neighborhood. Room for 4 vehicles off street.
I cannot say enough about how helpful the owners of this property were...both before we arrived, and during our stay. Even though we were there over the Christmas weekend, they were still very prompt to answer calls and texts when we had questions. We had a slight problem getting in since we hadn't dealt with a key lock box before, so didn't know to enter # after the code number. However, a call to the owner gave us a quick solution. The master bedroom suite is enormous! The other bedrooms are not huge, by any means, but sufficient, and it was nice to find clothes hangers in the closets. The ping-pong table was a hit with the whole family...especially our 11-year-old grandson. I only wish there were more than 2 paddles so we could have played doubles! The office with massage chair is a really nice bonus area. The kitchen is roomy and had enough utensils, pans, plates, etc. to prepare and eat our own meals. The only thing we found lacking in the kitchen were dish towels for drying dishes, and a small paring knife...the 2 knives we found were quite large. We especially enjoyed the large dining table that we could all fit around for eating and playing board games. The mattresses on the twin beds were extremely hard, as was the queen mattress. I found I was more comfortable sleeping on an air mattress! There were not enough bath towels set out for us when we got there, but luckily we discovered this the first night...before we needed them the next morning. Once again, one call to the owner that first night and the situation was remedied! We were alerted by a previous post to bring our own bath soap and were glad we did as none was provided. I do have a couple of suggestions for the owner. 1) More towel bars in the hall bathroom since it is supposed to accommodate 6 people. We hung our bath towels to dry over the lower clothes rods in our bedroom closets! Some bathroom hooks for hanging clothes would be a nice touch, too. 2) The very low glass coffee table in the main living area is too easy to trip over. I think being glass, it just isn't very visible, and I walked right into it when we first got there! I thought it was just my poor, 70-year-old eyesight, until my 38-year-old daughter did the same thing! Maybe switch it with the non-glass coffee table in the other living area? These suggestions are only meant to make a quite nice home even nicer. Thanks to the Isiaka's for providing a great place for our family to spend our Christmas away from home.
Enjoyed our stay, home very spacious. It was an ideal location for our needs
Home is very large and had everything we needed. Could use some upgrades especially the back yard. Loose boards on deck, spa not working, paint peeling. Overall good home and perfect area for everyone to gather for granddaughters wedding.
this property is great for large families. Also has easy acces to major highways to get anywhere!
This property is huge. If you have a large family or multi families it really helps having large bedrooms and 3 baths, 2 showers, 3 toilets. It's large enough for kids to spread out and really have fun playing games and hanging out. The owner is very helpful and willing to work with you on anything you find missing in the property. Beds were great. Place was very clean. TVs in all bedrooms and living room. Internet worked well for several people using it. Would definitely stay here again if we have multi families.
Not recommended and Disappointed in landlord's demeanor, property quite nice
Accused of things never done. Property nice but beware. Landlord will give check in code without account of items in the house. Upon checkout accused of taking items that were never taken or accounted for initially. Seems unfair and will try to make financial gain from the "missing" items. Do your research! Take photos of everything, give landlord count of all basic items to avoid issues upon checking out. In simple words be careful of the landlord's scheme.
Vivek Budhiraja booked the property for his "employees" who came to town to sell & install satellite DISH products. He booked the property online by paying part of the rent but contacted the owner that he has paid in full. He attempted to manipulate the system to move into the property without paying in full. Once booked then he requested to check-in one day sooner. That's when the owner became suspicious that vivek might be a strange. Vivek made it look like he did not realize that his employees were already in Oklahoma City when he made the reservation. He was in Texas. All of a sudden, Vivek wanted the employees to move in right away. They moved in by midnight using the access code provided. For a person in this kind of business, you will suppose he has liability insurance to cover his employees. Vivek Budhiraja has NO LIABILITY INSURANCE. He is supposed to be an authorized dealer for DISH network.
During the one month stay, the owner inspected the property once and spoke with one of the employees by the name of Ezekiel Thompson. I saw the missing air mattress been used in the living room. At the end of their stay, the owner was
to meet with them to do damage vacate inspection. To my surprise, they have disappeared before the owner arrived. Beside the damages done to the property, the following items were missing: Queen size air mattress, 12 large size bath towels, tools in the garage, 6 wine glasses. They left with the keys to the property and the garage door opener remote control.
I have been a HomeAway property owner for more than 2 years and have never reported anyone steeling items in the property. Vivek employees might have removed these items but the unscrupulous ways of Vivek Budhiraja as a business owner and his manipulative style of running a business make him unfit to be renting under the HomeAway / Airbnb platform. He & his employees will never stay in any of our properties.
Paradise n the City is a luxury accommodation for short time stay. We have hosted many prominent and decent people who come to town for wedding, family re-union, graduation and special birthdays. The property has over 3,000 square feet of living space with plenty of amenities: granite counter top kitchen, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, conventional oven, massage chair in the library, ping pong table in the sun room, fireplace in one of the living areas. The property is located in a serene, quiet and private neighborhood.
We had a great time with family. The house was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely keep it on our list of favorites in OKC.
