This home is unique. Built for the family to stay together to enjoy special weekend memories, but perfect for the weekdays as well. We love walking in the pines or playing almost any sport from wiffle ball to indoor racquetball. Sitting on the patio enjoying the scenic views with the beautiful weather of Prescott can't be compared.

We are located just minutes away from all the activities that the downtown square has to offer, yet have the seclusion and privacy like you are a million miles away!
Great small town community with regular scheduled activities at the downtown Prescott Square. Close to several lakes and some great golf courses. Rent some mountain bikes from a location just minutes from the cabin and go on a bike trail ride.

I just wanted to thank you for your hospitality. Our family had so much fun and laughter......it has been a difficult year for us and it was wonderful just to be together and laugh. Thank you so much for giving us that gift.
God bless you,
Leanne D. and family
Our soccer team was playing in the Yavapai tournament, which ends our season, and we split the group up between a block of rooms at a local hotel and this fabulous retreat. Although the pictures, descriptions and past reviews on VRBO were helpful in deciding to reserve the property...they did not do it justice. Everything you could imagine was there for a group made up of different families and lots of teenagers - to do, to stay busy and have FUN! (This really was a God-send especially since we had an 8+ hour break bewteen soccer games on Saturday AND it was raining out - Can you imagine being stuck in a small motel room?!) Instead everyone was playing pool, pingpong, shuffleboad+++ watching the Masters on the bigscreen TV in the dining area or sitting outside on the open air huge patio-taking in the fresh scent of pine but without getting wet, because it has a glass roof! And for those responsible for meals-the kitchen had everything a chef or entertainer could hope for and more. There was also plenty of extra towels and bed linens on hand. Several adults took morning walks/hikes around the area and others chose one of the of many tranquil spots on the property to sit and take it all in. Clearly the home has a special annointing and would be the perfect place for a church group retreat too. We have rented other large homes for similar get-togethers, ie: Flagstaff, etc. but this one takes the cake! I honestly can not imagine a more perfect place :-) Thank you Rhonda for making it possible and for all the extra little details too. Lot's of wonderful memories were made!
Our parents treated us to a trip up north. We were hoping for more snow but we still had an amazing time. There were a few snow patches on the hills behind the house, not enough to sled down, but enough to make some snowballs and have a little fun. All of us siblings had a hard time deciding what to do... there was so much to choose from. Our favorite was probably playing racquetball with our dad! We are definitely asking dad to bring us back to this amazing place!
This is a great location with enough activities to keep everyone moving and having a great time. I think all of us spent hours in the racquetball/volleyball court, maybe ear plugs would be good in there. lol
You must check out this place, it's a blast for everyone.
Stayed for 5 days in June 2015. First time in 6 years our entire family was together, including my parents who are in their mid 80's. On a positive note, the setting is absolutely beautiful, quiet, the town of Prescott is very nice, and within a couple hours you can visit Sedona, Williams, Jerome, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff. The house is large; the covered porch area is very nice and was used the most out of all the areas in the home; the downstairs game room with ping pong, table schuffleboard (no saw dust), foosball was a good entertainment area; lots of separate areas outside to sit.
This is not a home for the elderly or disabled - no bedrooms on main floor. This is a totally open floor plan so noise carries everywhere - bottom to top. For such a large home the refrigerator and dishwasher were small; second frig in bottom level I would not even think of using - that area with basketball game and ping pong was like a frat house game room - not clean.
The outdoor hot tub did not work; there were numerous outlets that did not work; lightbulbs burned out - which my husband replaced; trundle bed was broken - which my husband fixed as best he could; air mattress provided in home did not hold air; plates taken out of the cabinets were covered in dried food; the kithchen floor was dirty the first day of arrival; porch screen door did not shut completely; sister in law had to wash soiled sheets (first day of arrival); outside fountain was not working; lawn area was not all green like the picture - brown grass; then sprinkler was set so it was not conducive to outdoor games - wet/muddy. Jukebox in game room not working; air conditioning was questionable - cold at night but by morning hot. Have no idea if the sauna worked as no one used.
These issues may seem petty but add them all up and this home was NOT worth the money my parents paid. Our family should have gone and looked at this home prior to renting - that was our fault for not taking the time to do this.
I am hoping this review gets posted for others who have plans to rent the home in the future.
The house is located in a beautiful setting and Prescott is a wonderful place. We rented this house for our family to stay in for the weekend of my daughter's wedding. The house is very large and spacious, kitchen well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. Our boys enjoyed the game room and bball court, although the juke box was inoperable in the game room. Additionally, the sauna and whirlpool were not in working order as advertised. Overall, the house is in need of much care and repair.
The house is amazing and such a great place for families of all ages to gather. There are a multitude of different, relaxing, and fun spaces. We had three generations of extended family there for a wedding and hosted several larger gatherings. People played just about every active game available, racquetball, shuffleboard (my favorite), pool, ping pong, basketball. There was never an excuse to just sit around if you wanted to be active. Other members of our extended family would join us during the day to hang out or to have breakfast together.
There is ample parking for quite a few cars. It is close enough to town but also feels away in the mountains. The home exudes personality, quaint and fun-loving. It is perfect for families with children. There are play spaces inside and out.
The kitchen is large and the refrigerator/freezer is huge. There are large eating spaces inside and on the patio where the gas grill is located. We used everything but the formal dining area. The house invites casual gatherings and old fashioned fun. A great find and the owners are good at communication. They want your stay to be a great one.
The internet was spotty and, as warned, the reception for phones was iffy, but it wasn't a big deal even though most of our group relies in their normal life on the web. If you can't find something to do here, whether active or just sipping a cool drink in the hot tub, you've got no one to blame but yourself!
Great golf courses and several small fishing lakes nearby. Many local activities and events happening on a regular basis.
Just minutes from the cabin there are Mountain bikes, Quads, Golf Carts and more for rent. Rent 2 Ride @ 302 S. Montezuma. If you are just looking for bikes - IronClad @ 710 White Spar Rd. Both locations also have trail maps.
