Spend your vacation in this roomy (inside and out) house just around the corner from Sundae School and an easy walk to Sea St beach. This extra big ranch features a huge yard complete with grill, picnic table, hammocks, and horse shoe pits -- perfect for hanging out with friends and family. And wait until you see the garage, which is set up as a playroom for kids and adults. Complete with games and a pool table, you will almost wish for a rainy day. Located on a quiet side street off Sea St, this sunny and spacious house is also walking distance to the Wee Packet and Royal Pizza. Extra beds allow for overflow sleeping. Large eat-in kitchen.Window ac units.
We stayed in this lovely house for two weeks. It was perfect! All we needed. Close to beaches and the Sundae School. Our 4 kidsa loved our time here -- as did we! Swan River for lobster dinner and a view!
We enjoyed 27 Spruce Way very muck. The house is clean, very roomy, and comfortable. It's a great location close to nice beaches and amenities.
Very nice house, great mid cape location. Kitchen had all the supplies we needed. The kaoreoke machine in the garage-turned-playroom was a big hit. We couldn't get the DVD player in the living room to work (even after asking the realitor about it); there was one in a bedroom though, so it was fine.
This was the 4th straight year that we have stayed at this particular location. We found the house to be very clean and had all beach and house items that you would need. Only needed to replace what we used up. There is an unbelievable amount of space and each of the kids have their own bedroom. The extra half bathroom comes in handy as well. The house is within 15 minutes walking distance to the beach and that makes it close enough to come back to the house for lunch. We are already looking forward to next August.
The house is clean and well kept. Everything we needed was available. Lots to do keep the kids of all ages happily playing. Location is wonderful, not far from convenient major roads but small neighborhood is quiet enough that the kids could safely ride their bicycles. Adults were able to bike to the farmers market, stores and restaurants. Sea St beach is walking distance for most but better with a bicycle. Easy drive to many other beaches. Great house that we hope to rent again.
We have rented this home for multiple years now, and we are never disappointed! The home is air-conditioned, clean, and well-maintained. There are 3 bedrooms with plenty of sleeping space and the living room and kitchen are comfortable for both kids and adults. The owners also have a detached garage with all the summer activities you can think of, keeping the kids busy while the adults relax. We also love the location, quick to both the beaches and to the center of Dennis Port with the shopping and restaurants. This is turning into our home-away-from-home and we love it!
So much fun! I rented this with my family and there was plenty of room and plenty to do! The game room was a huge plus and Sundae School around the corner was the best!
Dennis, named an All American Town in 1978, combines its traditional New England heritage with modern day conveniences. The villages of East Dennis, Dennis and South Dennis feature scenic historic districts hailing back to whaling days. Dennisport has beautiful beaches that lie along Nantucket Sound. West Dennis combines both Nantucket Sound beaches with shore access to Bass River. Altogether, Dennis has sixteen beaches on the warm Nantucket Sound to the south and on the refreshing waters of Cape Cod Bay to the north.
Numerous recreation trails offer healthful relaxation, and well developed business districts throughout the villages provide ample goods and services. Residents of Dennis feel a sense of pride in their home by the sea.
The quiet little town, incorporated in 1793, was named for Josiah Dennis, a favorite minister. The town was involved in the maritime activities of the 1800's including whaling and the building of some of the greatest American clipper ships like the Flying Cloud. As the twentieth century approached and the glory days of sea captains faded, Dennis residents turned to commercial fishing and land-based industries.
Dennis comes into its own during the summer months, with special events every week. Home to the nation's oldest summer theater, the Cape Playhouse, Dennis offers varied summer activities, with arts and craft shows, concerts on the village green and Dennis Festival Days, held in August, which celebrate the friendly heritage of this All American New England town.
The beach areas are more densely settled than towns further out on the Cape, and there is a large stock of beach cottages built in the 40s and 50s. In addition, Dennis offers a wide selection of other types of dwellings. Lot sizes are generally smaller than towns further out on the Cape, and taxes are relatively low.
