With 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs, those who want to retire earlier in the evening are free to do so; while the remaining night owls are free to have their own private space. And don’t forget the top-floor loft equipped with a twin bed and day bed; perfect for the kids to have their very own play space.
For the architect lovers in the family, Heartland features gorgeous vaulted ceilings and sturdy pinewood floors throughout. Bedecked with a massive rock wood-burning fireplace, the living room, or gathering space, is the heart of the home; perfect for the whole family to unwind together after a fun-filled day in Hill Country. And with Heartland’s close proximity to The Blue Hole, one of the top ten swimming holes in the state of Texas, activities and fun are never more than a splash away.
How will you spend your days at Heartland? How about cooling off in your own private swimming pool! Located right outside the back door. Enjoy a great picnic while the children make their splash in the pool! This is what makes a summer vacation in Texas most enjoyable. Leaving Heartland, for groceries might be your extent of venturing out!
After all the activities, what could be better than a fireside dinner barbecued in your very own Charcoal BBQ pit? Sit outside by the fire and roast marshmallows as you reminisce over the day’s fun in the sun. And nothing completes a day full of action than a relaxing soak in your very own steamy hot tub under the stars. Or, for the lady of the family who wants to get away from it all, a bubbly dip in the cast-iron claw-footed soaking tub situated in the master bedroom is sure to please.
Whatever you desire in a Hill Country vacation, Heartland is bound to become your favorite spot to get away from it all.

We had such an amazing time. The house is beautiful, and we had everything we needed.
Sweet home for several families to gather.
We spent 3 nights through New Year's Eve at this home and enjoyed our stay. I didn't experience the issues listed in the previous review so they appear to have been addressed minus the minor carpet stains which we weren't concerned about. The main pros: the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all our meals plus ample dishes/cups/utensils and benefit of a few of the leftover usual items - salt/pepper/coffee filters/washing detergent for the sink and the laundry. One request would be actual glasses for wine/suspect breaking is issue. There were travel toiletries in the bathrooms in case anyone forgot anything, but also the grocery store was only 3 miles away. It was chilly while we were here, but the group still managed to get out for walks around the small area of this neighborhood - you could only do 1-2 miles if you wanted to stay clear of the main road....but there was the bonus of a large challenging hill. We used the hot tub which was nice. The pool was freezing this time of year, but one of group managed to do a polar bear dip. The best part of the home was it was one of the few places that had a separate bathroom for each bedroom (one of the bathrooms was not ensuite so could be shared by all during the day, but covered the one room on that side of the house). We found other homes were challenging for our group where in this one each adult or couple could have their own bathroom/bedroom. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs with closets and bathrooms attached. A large living space upstairs with a couch and a daybed. Downstairs had 2 bedrooms - the master with the large bath (tub plus shower) and the other room with the bathroom in the hall next door. Large living room/TV area with a pull out couch, decent kitchen with adjoining dining table and a nice outdoor patio area too cold for us in Dec, but kids loved the wrap around porch. It's not overly fancy, but had all we needed plus a few extra linens and blankets. TVs worked great.....internet was awful and you may as well not even advertise having it , but we do at least one rental a year out in Wimberley with our large group and found this is not unique to this home...forced us to stay out of our phones and computers and interact :)..but would be nice to know we could knock out a little work if in a pinch and doesn't seem to be the case in Wimberley or they just don't offer it to guests - I almost called it in, but didn't bother to let the management know so maybe there was an alternative.
The house was very disappointing. The carpets in the bedrooms had large stains, disgusting. We took a plate out of the cabinet and it still had food on it. After the first flush on the toilet in the master, the chain broke. The living room furniture was very worn. There were screws missing in the patio furniture. There was NO instruction booklet in the house like how to work the hot tub, who to call in the case of an emergency maintenace issue. There was a TV upstaiirs that had no cable box so it was useless. The shower in the second master looked like the shower doors were replaced with a curtain and everytime someone showered in there the bathroom flooded. All three of the families driving to the house turned on the wrong street based on the directions. All the floor vents in the home were damaged. The refrigerator/freezer was dirty. What they called blankets for the living room pull out beds were more like a throw. The ad said a "gormet kitchen" dont even get me started, i dont know where these people are from but it was more like rustic kitchen. The door handle on the front door fell off when we arrived. the lights were burned out in the living room on the chandelier. There were tons of porch with views but very little furniture to sit on unless you wanted to drag it around the porch. There was a low hanging tree in the driveway which scratched the roof of our pickup. the water softener blinked "out of salt" the whole time we were there. the shower nozzel in the bathroom upstairs was only 5 feet off the ground so you had to very short to wash your hair!!! At a very minimum this property was misrepresented....It said "home away from home" the carpets in my home dont have large stains on them or dirty dishes in the cabinets. It said luxury ammenties, these people must be related to the Beverly Hillbillies!!! Very disappointing although we were there for our daughters graduation weekend so at least we had that. Please replace the carpets in the bedrooms downstairs!!!
At Hill Country Premier Lodging we strive to ensure every guest has an amazing experience. Unfortunately occasionally things occur with any property that require our attention. In this situation our office was notified of this guest’s difficulty in finding the home and a number of other concerns. In an effort to correct any issues our office sent a representative to the home. We delivered toilet paper and corrected the minor items that were reported. The guest’s husband assured our staff that everything was fine at that point. Our office then contacted the owner of this property and we met with them the following week to address the larger concerns that were brought to our attention. Unfortunately, we can only remedy what we know is a problem. Heartland is a lovely home and many of our guests choose to return to this property specifically.
Hill Country Premier Lodging is a company founded on customer service and each guest’s experience is a priority. It is for this reason that we have staff available 24/7 to address anything that may arise during a stay at any of our properties. Our office and emergency numbers are provided to all guests at the time of booking and again upon check-in.
As a company that strives for excellence, we are sincerely disappointed to hear of a guest that was not happy. It is our sincere hope that if someone is unhappy, that we are given the opportunity to exceed their expectations and at the very least provide them with an enjoyable vacation.
