About Steve Migliore
Originally from NYC, I have fond memories of family vacations in Maine when I was younger. Married with 3 children ,my family and I love the outdoors and the water – hiking, fishing, boating and kayaking and all that Freeport and the Greater Portland Casco Bay have to offer. In 2005 we had the opportunity to buy this home. My wife and I have successful careers in high-tech, hard work and smart investments made purchasing the home possible, but we absolutely depend on the rental income and we rent it during the spring, summer and fall. When not rented, we use it for family get-together's and to enjoy all that Maine has to offer. Eventually we plan to pass-on to our children and perhaps someday their children to enjoy. But not yet!
Steve Migliore purchased this House in 2005
Why Steve Migliore chose Cumberland County
Not too far, not too close – conveniently located less than y 2 hours from our primary residence in NH, and easy to get to when we want. Only 4 miles from downtown Freeport – located in the Greater Portland Casco Bay area, Freeport and the surrounding area offers plenty to do for outdoor enthusiasts, foodies and shoppers. Quite Solitude - The home sits on 6 acres, off of a small private road with only two other houses. It is serene and peaceful. The back of the house faces south-east, has a gorgeous view of the bay - especially beautiful are the sunrises. Floor plan – refurbished with hardwood floors, and a gourmet kitchen. In addition to the location we love the open-floor plan. As you can see from the pictures, most back-side of the house are windows.

Maine Getaway on Casco Bay
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Goose Cove Lane overlooking Casco Bay!! The views were fantastic!! , the house was very spacious, comfortable, & well equipped. The shops and restaurants in Freeport were just a short distance away as well as the Bow Street Market which has everything you could possibly need during your stay in Maine. Steve the owner was very friendly, and responded quickly to any questions we had regarding the house & property. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing & stress free vacation.
Had our 50th Anniversary with all the kids and grandchildren. A perfect house for all of us. The kids rented Kayaks and had fun on the water. Loved seeing Bald Eagles in the nearby trees. Steve was very helpful.
Great place to stay
First time staying at Goose Cove. We loved it. Exactly as advertised and was very comfortable. I would absolutely stay there again.
Wonderful house in a beautiful location
My family and I stayed at Goose Cove last week. The location of the house is off of a small street with only two other houses. It is serene and peaceful. The house is absolutely gorgeous and has a beautiful view of the bay. The walk down to the bay is steep but we enjoyed going down to the water. The house had everything we could have needed during our stay. The kitchen was WONDERFUL! Large enough for everyone and updated well. I would definitely stay at this house again.
Home was exactly as described; beautiful location, comfortable, well-stocked and very clean.
Very roomy and easily suitable for large family group. Thoughtful amenities and conveniences. Location is gorgeous. Great overall rental.
It was absolutely perfect. Stunning views and great family time!
Perfect location, perfect house!
The house is miles from Downtown Freeport. Freeport is located along the shores of Casco Bay, approximately 25 minutes north of Portland. It is renowned for its outlet shopping and is the home of the world famous L.L. Bean Flagship Store. You can also find many locally owned shops and boutiques throughout the historic and picturesque village that offer Maine-made items. For family’s and out-door enthusiasts wanting to try something new, I highly recommend the L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery School. The L.L. Bean Discovery school provides affordable adventures all year round such as kayaking, canoeing, clay shooting, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and more – all are family focused, and very affordable. My family and I took the Kayak and Clay shooting courses – Both were awesome. But wait… there’s more! In addition to L.L. Bean, the restaurants and shopping are the two beautiful state parks, Wolfe Neck State Park and Bradbury Mountain State Park. Both have excellent hiking trails. Wolfe Neck offers trails along the edge of Casco Bay, while Bradbury Mountain, as its name implies, takes you up above the neighboring communities for a view across the coastal areas. Nearby, also, in addition to Portland and its shopping and fine dining, are the Portland Head Lighthouse and Cape Elizabeth’s Two Lights. To the north is Bowdoin College, Eagle Island, Bailey Island, Georgetown Island, Reid State Park, Popham Beach State Park, and the hideaway village of Five Islands. Maine’s Desert is also nearby. Freeport‘s central location makes it ideal for adding to your shopping vacation with golf, and exploring all the Maine coast has to offer. Foodies, outdoor enthusiasts, fans of local art and music, serious bargain hunters and more will find plenty to do.
