About Mary & Kelly

We are semi retired couple who have built our dream home on Okanagan Lake. We love swimming, biking and hiking the area in the summer. In the winter we enjoy the wonderful cross country skiing that is close to the house.

Mary & Kelly purchased this house in 2006

Why Mary & Kelly chose Okanagan Valley

Over twenty years ago we pedaled into this valley on a family bike trip. We fell in love with the area and the people. We returned year after year, always finding one more special place, one more activity we enjoyed. We usually stayed at small cottages or B&B's. We enjoyed the experience and this is why we added the suite to our home.

What makes this house unique

There are every few homes on the lake in Peachland, our property is unique in that it offers a small private paradise directly on the lake. The area has every thing from award winning golf courses & elegant wineries, to small family run wineries and biking the Kettle Valley Railway Trail.

Okanagan Oasis

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Mary & Kelly's place in Peachland. The house and property was exactly as advertised (tip top: clean, well maintained, convenient, & quiet) and getting settled in was very easy. We quickly felt right at home. The house, garden, and private dock were a delight and offered a welcome retreat. We especially enjoyed the garden and were impressed by the tasteful landscaping -- easy on the eyes and impressive for anyone who enjoys gardens and understands the work that goes into maintaining them. Access to the private dock was an additional boon. The house is also well situated in terms of central location in the valley with easy access to downtown Peachland and Westbank as well as up and down the valley for day trips. We stayed in the downstairs portion of the house and thought it was ideal for a couple or a family of four. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to our return. Thanks Mary & Kelly!

For anyone not familiar with the area, we recommend the Gasthaus in downtown Peachland for hearty meals and Theo's Restaurant in downtown Penticton for ambience. We hiked Mount Boucherie in Westbank for the first time and found it a pleasant, easy evening hike to take in the vistas (15 minute drive from the house).

Paradise on Lake Okanagan

  • 5 of 5

If you like peace and quiet, this is where you want to stay. We are a family of four (kids age 8 and 9) and stayed for a week in july 2016 at Mary and Kelly's place. Our stay definitevely exceeded our expectation. Aside from offering a magnificent view and access to lake Okanagan, the layout of the house allows privacy for everyone. It is super clean, well equipped for cooking and the beds were comfortable. The patio was our new home. We had all of our meals outside.

Mary is a really nice owner. She takes an excellent care of her property and of her clients. She provided us with plenty of information to make our stay fantastic ( the italian salumeria and fruit market were great finds as was the Kangaroo farm).

We rented stand up paddle boards from the local shop for the week and we had great service and fun. We also really enjoyed the zipline in Peachland.

Mary and Kelly's house is definitively a great vacation rental by lake Okanagan away from the crowds .We hope you can also enjoy it!

A terrific vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time at the Edgewater and we felt so grateful to have found it. The entire suite was very clean and offered everything that we needed for our one week stay. We appreciated the washer/dryer, the air conditioning and the fully stocked kitchen. We were able to bbq outside and enjoy meals at our own patio table. Our stay was very private, quiet and restful. We were thrilled to be able to use the buoy for our boat and the dock for family lake fun. There was plenty of seating for us to use. The property is breathtaking. The view is awesome from everywhere. Every morning we awoke to the scent of lavender, heard hooting of owls and the chirping of quails. Mary and Kelly are wonderful hosts who take pride in their property and take care of their guests. We truly enjoyed our vacation and plan on returning.

Beautiful, relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying at the Edgewater, and it was just as lovely and relaxing as we remembered it to be. Mary and Kelly are wonderful hosts, around when you need them and offering tips for the local area, but also leaving you to enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surroundings on your own. We enjoyed a few days of lovely, sunny weather, having the private dock mostly to ourselves during the day. It rained later in the week, which we understand is unusual for this time of year, but there were so many wineries and restaurants around to enjoy that we still had an amazing time. The Penticton farmer's market was also cute and a pleasure to take in on Saturday. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful property with excellent hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this property in Peachland!

The location was perfect for us... right on the water in a quiet location and yet still walking distance to the town.

Despite not very good weather, we spent lots of time on the lovely dock. We fished (didn't catch anything!) and enjoyed spotting wildlife in the area.

We stayed with our friends who were visiting from the UK. Both rooms were comfortable and accommodated us well. The views were amazing!

There was only one bathroom but it was clean and worked for our needs.

The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed making our own meals and eating them outside on the beautiful and well kept patio.

The hosts Kelly and Mary were very available when we needed them and they offered us some great suggestions of things to do in the area.

We hope to return soon!

Stunning, Private Peachland Gem!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Edgewater Suite in Peachland. The suite is bright and modern with stunning views from both bedrooms and the living room. You can even view the lake from the kitchen sink! The property is great and having direct access to the lake is wonderful! We enjoyed using our SUP board on a daily basis and being able to jump right in the water. Definitely a bonus! The location is excellent as it is a short drive to West Bank and definitely has some great wineries close by.

Mary is such a wonderful, thoughtful host and made us feel so welcome. She is extremely helpful with great suggestions/ideas of things to do and places to go within the area. She even brought us some peach pancake syrup for our kids as she thought they would enjoy peach syrup with peaches in Peachland (so sweet!). They absolutely loved it! You can also tell she puts a lot of work into the gardens as they are amazing! Mary also pays close attention to her guests and we could tell previous guests comments/suggestions were acted upon. She even had a new LCD TV installed while we were there which was a lovely addition.

With such a great location, beautiful property/accommodations and wonderful host, it doesn't get any better!
