This spectacular oceanfront home with it's breathtaking views in nestled along the jagged lava rock coastline of Laie Point, a peninsula known for it's dramatic beauty, spirituality, and folklore. The tranquility of this home with it's vaulted ceilings and soaring windows, is undeniable. Sitting directly above the ocean, you can allow the waves to enchant you and fill your body and soul with peace, beauty, and serenity.

This is the ideal home for a relaxing romantic getaway, and the perfect home for multiple families and couples needing much space and privacy. This 6 bedroom plus loft home features two separate living quarters with 3 oceanfront master bedrooms, an oceanfront dining area, and an additional kitchenette and pool table on the lower level. Beautiful beaches are just steps away and panoramic views from all around. Nearby attractions include miles of secluded white beaches, excellent hiking trails, winter surf on the North Shore, and the Polynesian Cultural Center showcasing island nationalities, fire shows, IMAX theater and a nightly luau. The recently renovated Turtle Bay Hilton is just 10 minutes away. Enjoy the resort's new spa, restaurants, tennis, horseback riding and surf lessons.

All properties are individually owned and furnished but will come with a basic sundry starter kit for at least 2 loads of dishes and laundry, two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and a 2-3 garbage bags for the kitchen, 2-3 garbage bags for the bathroom, hand soap for the bathroom and dish soap for the kitchen. Properties are not re-stocked like hotel rooms and for visits longer than 3-4 days, it is recommended that guests procure additional items necessary for personal use. Guests also need to bring personal toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel/soap.

Nice location, and generally comfortable, but clearly the owners are cutting corners

Verified Stay

We had a great time staying at this house, with a party that included a couple senior citizens, lots of adults, and lots of pre-teen kids including babies. The location was good, and we were generally comfortable. The primary property managers were very good to work with. They accommodated our persnickety legal readings and request for modifications to the contract, they gave us pointers on how to line up good activities, and they provided some baby gear for us that the house otherwise would have lacked. We are pleased with our vacation.

But... we've had better vacation rental experiences. I point them out here in hopes it leads to some of these issues being fixed, and so that other customers can say, "we'll come, but can you make sure to address X for us before we arrive?"

Other reviewers have complained about appliances, and the managers said those applicances were replaced. Fine, but they replace them with old appliances. So the problems persist. During our visit, we had the microwave replaced (with a different old one) because the first didn't work at all. And the stove was tough, without legible markings of temperatures or which dials went to which locations, but we sorted it out. But the real killer was the main refrigerator (with a manufacture date of 2011, according to its interior label, and with its missing freezer handle). The refrigerator and freezer both had inconsistent temperatures. Our last night we had to move all our food to the basement refrigerator, since the main one wasn't cooling. At morning after being closed all night, it reported a temperature in the 70s. But then later it began cooling again.

The house also lacks the touch of a homeowner. Want measuring cups to bake, or measuring spoons? All I found was a 1-cup measurer. Want a whisk? I didn't find one. Want some extra bedding? Minimal items are kept under lock and key. The towels are pretty tired, no longer white but a dead grey color. Some parts of the house are similarly tired, such as the square foot of paint around a bathroom door handle, which looks like it hasn't been painted in a decade.

And the house only has one garbage can, which a large party will fill quickly. Considering that the property in intended to be occupied by about six times more people than the average American home, it ought to have more cans.

We dealt with a substitute property manager who didn't have the touch.

But, mostly, we thought about ocean, food, and friends. It was a good trip

Fantastic all around

This home was perfect for our visit. Absolutely stunning location. Close (within 5 minutes) from Polynesian Cultural Center, Laie LDS Temple, grocery store and many places to eat. Hukilau beach (virtually unoccupied) also about 5 minutes away. You could see it from our deck and our teens walked home from spending the day there. We had plenty of space to relax and unwind. The hosts were fantastic and had a gift waiting for my parents who were celebrating their 50th anniversary. The views are spectacular and we could see whales in the distance (binoculars highly recommended). When I go back to Oahu, this is where I will stay again. Beautiful!!!!

Lani Loa House in Laie Hawaii

When I first saw the pictures, I thought wow this house looks to good to be true. The pictures don't do the house justice. The house is awesome. Plenty of room, on the water, down the street to 4 miles of pristine beach. Close to North Shore for surfing, shopping and restaurants. Down the street is a Foodland for any grocery needs. We had so much fun. I would recommend this house to anyone. You will love staying here!
