We currently live in San Francisco and purchased this condo for the 'grandparents' to use a couple months out of the year.
Having grown up in the Bay Area, we are very knowledgable about
San Francisco and the surrounding area.
Kim purchased this condo in 2012
Stunning bay view 'Mini' penthouse in Pacific Heights within steps to the popular Union Street for trendy restuarants and shopping. Covered parking and elevator to top floor unit. Beautifully furnished and remodelled kitchen and bath. Balcony with outdoor heater (perfect for viewing America's Cup!).
Views, views, views with every possible convenience in the unit and outside the unit (neighborhood).
Safely back in rainy Oregon this evening, Kim (we stayed in Ashland last night.) Thanks for all your good help with the condo, your excellent instructions and detail and our time there. It was so enjoyable and the weather was just great (even those 4 or 5 over-hot unusual days for the bay area.) I am sure we will be coming back in the future and hope to grab an open window of time sometime next year.
This Cow Hollow apartment is a little piece of heaven! There is nothing about the apartment not to LOVE - the location, the view, the furnishings, the extra personal touches and TLC from both Kim and Dana. They even special-ordered gorgeous weather for the entire month of April! Thank you, Kim and Dana, for a wonderful respite from "normal" life. We look forward to spending another month with you again next year.
Very well appointed condo with fantastic views of the bay and the GG Bridge. Plenty of space for two, everything you need, comfortable furnishings, nice big shower, clean and modern. The indoor parking is a definite plus. Location is perfect for dining and shopping and the bus to downtown is right on the corner.
The only "negative" - and not much of one - is the rowdy crowd in the Blue Light bar which is in front of the condo. It can get a bit noisy on dollar taco night on Tuesdays, and a bit on the weekends, but with the double pane windows in the bedroom the noise is shut out and not a problem at all.
The owner Kim, and Dana the personal concierge service owner who takes care of checking in guests and other things for Kim, are both very responsive and helpful.
Will definitely look forward to staying here again when we need a month long rental in SF.
I would like to keep this slice of heaven to myself but that would not be fair!
My husband and I rented this apartment February and March 2014 and we could not have been happier! We have rented many VRBO places and none were as nice as this place.
It was beyond our expectations on so many levels.
The apartment has been renovated and decorated beautifully. It was set up for our arrival with so many well thought out details, nice linens and a ton of towels, empty containers for our use, a custom designed closet, fully equipped kitchen ....I could go on and on.
The outdoor heated balcony with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay was wonderful. We felt totally safe in the apartment and felt our car was totally safe in the secure parking garage. The neighbors in the building were very welcoming. The location could not be better. Bars, restaurants and shops right out the door. The 45 Union and the 22 Fillmore bus lines are right there. These bus lines will take you to Chinatown, North Beach, downtown, Fillmore neighborhood, Hayes Valley and the Mission. Location , location, location!
Kim was great to work with, always immediatedly available.
The only thing we didn't like was leaving! This place will not disappoint!
My husband and I stayed here for the month of February. It is without a doubt the best condo in the area. The view from the balcony and kitchen and living room are unstoppable and gorgeous -- the Golden Gate Bridge and marina can be seen at all times of the day, plus you have a fabulous view of the exciting Union Street neighborhood. The owners have thought of everything -- best bed we have slept in with fabulous bedding. The kitchen is well equipped -- we cooked in several evenings. The surrounding area has great deli's and grocery stores, and of course the dining nearby is fabulous. We couldn't be happier with our choice and will be returning soon.
Our stay at this property exceeded all of our expectations; everything was simply perfect about this condo and its location. The furnishings were beautiful and everything that could be possibly be needed for an extended stay was available. The views (including the Golden Gate Bridge) from all the windows and the balcony were spectacular.
The host was immediately available to answer all questions and resolve any issues. This place is a 10+ on a scale of 1 to 10. We are grandparents and were visiting our daughter and her family for an an extended stay. Even though parking is provided with the condo, the area is so convenient that we hardly ever needed our car. We will definitely return.
My husband and I took this condo for a month in the fall. We were familiar with SFO and had anticipated where this lodging would be, so there were no surprises to us as to location. Very central/easy for our needs. The descriptions and photos are all very accurate. This is a comfortable, bright, modern apartment within steps from several vibrant streets of boutique shopping, grocery shops, coffee shops, excellent bakery, restaurants, etc. Taxis are generally pretty easy to find. Or a quick bus ride (also steps away) to downtown. The view from the living room, kitchen and outside deck is across the bay and of the Golden Gate bridge and is wonderful. We were mesmerized a number of times just watching the weather come in and out into the bay -- pulling in for the evening and evaporating with the sun of the next morning. Cruise ships, freighters, the America's Cup; lots to watch. Even if a low fog held over the bay in the morning, the condo is above that and is usually bright and sunny. The kitchen is excellent and ample; the table is not large but works for two. Not large, but fully equiped for a "real" cook, of which I am not. The Queen bed is difficult to get out of, it's that good. Excellent linens and towels. I like to sleep in absolute darkness, so the blackout shades were tops on my list about this place. Nicely organized closet. There is a washer/dryer in the kitchen that I used regularly. It washes and dries in one unit so takes a bit to master, but once I understood it -- it worked like a champ. Overall this condo is a compact but organized unit, well suited for two. Although there is a couch for sleeping, I think more than 3 total for a night or so gets crowded. Four for cocktails is good; four for dinner is tight. But I am more accustomed to a larger house. The owners are very good at settling you in and making sure every need is met and you are set for the month. We had only one or two small incidents of noise and those were from a bar below the condo. On a sunny day, the roof of that bar opens below the unit, so we could hear the sports broadcast clearly and lots of hearty cheering. It might have been difficult with a baby sleeping, etc., but we had no such and -- as we were going out anyway -- it didn't bother us. But "in season" it might be difficult for some. Good value; well appointed. Very satisfied; would do it again.
Located in the highly popular and desired Pacific Heights and Cow Hollow Neighborhoods. Steps to Union Street where trendy restaurants, bars, and shopping. Conveniences such as groceries, dry cleaning, fitness and yoga studios all within blocks. In addition, this view condo is within walking distance to the 'Marina Green' and Crissy field in the Presidio where outdoor recreation is abundant and where America's Cup will take place out on the SF Bay...
