About Pam dampur

We purchased this property in 1990. At the time, it was out 'camp' where we vacationed every summer. After we built our home, we tore down the camp, and built this lovely cottage. Our Goal is to meet every need of our guests so they enjoy being as close to the water as we did, when it was 'camp'. Now we've opened our home as a Bed & Breakfast, with three lovely guest rooms for guests who only want to stay for a weekend.

Why Pam dampur chose Lake Champlain Valley

Point Au Fer is about as far away as you can get, and still be close to what you need!

What makes this cottage unique

Tranquility, Nature, Lake Activities, Privacy!

Guestbook comments from the owner

After this week, we know for sure there is a God. He has smiled on this entire vacation! It didn't rain once! The Cottage is beautiful. Every detail has pleasure and convenience in mind. It was a pleasure to meet the Damours, and we're thankful to our four children for sending us on this adventure for our 40th anniversary!

Beautiful Cottage - WOW Owners -

  • 5 of 5

This place is all that it is advertised and was extremely clean with everything you need. (new pots and pans would have been nice) The view of the Lake and the privacy were great. We totally relaxed and enjoyed day trips to all the surounding area - Lake Placid, Plattsburg, etc. Now the worst and best part. My wife developed a problem that sent her to the hospital.. The owners gave us advice on where to go, took care of the dog, visited her in the hospital, and held the cabin for us unitl she got well. They are super caring individuals. We were so fortunate and blessed that this event happened at this place.

Thanks Pam and Jo for your wonderful hospitality and going above and beyond as owners and great people.

Excellent Lake Front Honeymoon Stay

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and well maintained. A great base camp for exploring the surrounding areas including Montreal and the Province of Quebec. We were so welcomed by the owners that when our second destination rental fell through, we called to see if we could return. We happily drove 325 miles to come back and stay at Pam and Joe's!! We would highly recommend this cottage and a stay on Point Au Fer if you enjoy peace and tranquility and we definitely plan to return.

Champlain Charn

Coming off a very stressful move and between residences, we were so grateful to be welcomed by Pam abd Joe to this snug and wonderfully comfortable cottage for a two week stay. Everthing you could possibly want for either a brief or a prolonged stay is provided and we are not just talking about a complete inventory of household essentials. More importantly, a truly beautiful setting that provides peace and serenity that enriches and replenishes the soul. Pam and Joe are the perfect hosts, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for guest privacy. A marvelous experience.

Charming cottage and bed & breakfast

  • 5 of 5

We spent our first night in the B & B and the following 5 nights in the cozy cottage. It was a delightful stay. The room and the cottage were exceptionally clean and decorated so tastefully and had excellent Wi-Fi connection. Our delicious breakfast was served to us out on the front porch. The owners, Joe & Pam were accommodating, helpful and easy going. They recommended good hiking spots, restaurants and other fun things to do during our stay.

We enjoyed our quiet week on the shores of Lake Champlain. The weather was perfect, We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. As the cabin is located a short drive from the Canadian Border and the bridge crossing the Lake to Vermont we were able to explore the area. A few eating places nearby served good inexpensive meals which we enjoyed. Our host Pat was very friendly and gave us helpful advice. If you are looking for a quiet retreat for a week's relaxation this is the place for you.
