3 BR, 2 bath-0pen/spacious living/kithchen, 480sf porch w/lake view

We have an open kitchen/dining/living area. the kitchen is separated from the other areas by a large rounded bar that seats 8 to 10 with a TV to entertain while feasting or to watch sporting events. A separate TV is in the living area as well. The master bedroom is on one side of the house, separated from the other 2 bedrooms by the living areas. Both bedroom sides have separate air conditioners for individual comfort. Fans in each bedroom is an added amenity.

The back porch is 12' X 40' and overlooks the Lake and the BBQ area below. Deer frequent the grounds. A couple of foxes also visit from time-to-time. The fox are beautiful to watch. While we do not recommend feeding the fox, corn is provided to feed the deer.

Our waterfront home enables boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing or simply skimming rocks across the lake. Boat launch is less than a one mile drive or 15 minute walk from the house. A short 10-minute drive takes you to Crane's Mill Marina where boat slips can be rented on a daily basis and motor/pontoon/sail boat and jet-ski rentals are available. The same marina is a 3 to 5 minute boat ride across the Lake from our home. The Guadalupe Horseshoe is only a 15-minute drive; the same distance accesses flyfishing below the dam. Awesome shopping is available in Wimberley, Bourne, Gruene, Fredricksbrg, the outlet malls in San Marcos and, of course, shopping in Austin and San Antonio--all can be reached within 30 to 60 minutes (Fredricksberg is more in line with to 80 minutes). Gruene offers live music nightly (summer) and weekends (rest of year). Restaurants abound in these areas or you may prefer a simple home-delivered pizza from Startzville.

Our home is excellent to hold events or for intimate single family gatherings. The Grounds contain 2 homes that can be separately rented, with a vacant lot between, giving lots of room to accommodate an event (i.e., wedding, family reunion, corporate break-out); the two homes together will sleep 12 to 16. Call for information, if interested.

The property is purposely kept a bit natural to enjoy nature at its best, deer visiting at our doorstep morning and night and our grey fox making an appearance from the den below the bluff. there is also the fire pit to enjoy smores and most importantly, the pleasures of a natural Canyon Lake shore. Don't forget the incomparable, beautiful Sunsets!!

Very nice property with fantastic views!

We had a lovely girls' trip last weekend. The house was beautiful and well-maintained, with enough beds to comfortably sleep 6 adults. The lake is peaceful and the owners couldn't have been nicer. We definitely recommend this property, and will stay here again the next time we travel to Canyon Lake.

Cheerful, Family-friendly Home

My husband and I rented this home for a long weekend with our daughter's family of five. We wanted to find a location that would be somewhat central to San Antonio and Fredericksburg for day-excursions. The location worked well, although we had to spend time driving to our two destinations. So we especially appreciated how inviting the home was upon our return(s)!

The floorplan worked well for our two families. There was a comfortable, bright living area/kitchen separating the master bedroom/bath (for the grandparents) from the other two bedrooms/bath (for the parents and grandkids.) The linens and beds were comfy. Everything was very clean and functional, including the modernized, well-stocked kitchen.

The large deck and view to Canyon Lake was great. We enjoyed lovely sunsets and watching the grandkids happily feed the neighborhood deer. The hike to the shore is steep, but there is a handrail. We didn't go into the water, but the grandkids loved finding tiny shells among the rocks.

Shirley and Paul Jauma were very easy to work with. Even as they dealt with hardship from Hurricane Harvey in their Spring, TX home, they always communicated quickly and politely. The damage deposit was returned promptly, as well. Thank you for sharing your home, Paul and Shirley!
