About Erica K.

An entrepreneur by nature, I have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that a self directed path can provide. I have loved to travel and annually embark upon both a beach vacation and an exotic destination in a far away continent - you will find exotic mementos from my travels adorn El Milagro and inspire the eclectic sampling of the world within. Growing up in Tucson and feeling a connection to this style of architecture/ property, I wanted to name my special Casa to honor my connection to the heritage of the house, hence the name El Milagro - which means The Miracle of the Neighborhood - a miracle to own a home, a miracle this place has stood 135 years - a miracle of light and laughter within---. While home in Tucson, I love to landscape, You will see me working on my properties tending to the mesquite trees, Peruvian apple cactus a native willow or assisting guests at El Milagro and other homes. I have always enjoyed cooking - entertaining friends and family and hosting many social events, and look forward to hosting you during your stay in Tucson!

Homey with wonderful backyard spaces.

  • 4 of 5

The host was wonderful and was immediately available to handle any concerns that arose. The three areas that could stand improvement would be installing a functional mirror in the common bathroom, "refreshing" the outdoor furniture pads as they are quite deteriorated, and finally removing some of the decorative accesories. While the home is nicely decorated all these accessories cut into the available shelf and storage space.

Great location.

Fantastic 30 day stay at El Milagro del Barrio Anita!!!

  • 5 of 5

Erica has completely furnished and refurbished this old adobe home in the barrio. It is very centrally located to most of the Tucson attractions. The beds are to melt in - very comfortable pillow top beds. The gift of a bottle of wine is a nice touch too. The occasional train rolls by but after the first day we new heard it again while we slept. it actually adds some charm to the experience. The back yard is immaculate! Several seating areas for all possible weather types and a nice grill to cook that chunk of meat on. We liked it so much this year that we've booked it again for the same 30 day period in 2018! Highly recommend this place to everyone!!! John Veevaert

Amazing property!

  • 5 of 5

Erica is a wonderful host. We really enjoyed our stay there and will look to rent this property again the next time we travel to Tucson. Only caveat would be the trains. They did not bother me, but some in our group didn't appreciate the train horns. There are ear plugs provided for just that reason.

Beautiful home close to downtown

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for an extended weekend, and it was wonderful. Erica is a great host, and left us with a bottle of wine and chocolate to start the weekend. The house has so much character and a beautiful backyard, with lots of outdoor seating and dining spaces. The kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking for ourselves during our stay. Beds were very comfortable, and we had plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. Other than the train passing nearby, the neighborhood was quiet. We were only a 15 minute walk from downtown shops and restaurants.

To my embarrassment, I completely messed up our reservation, and on our "last" day realized that I had entered the wrong dates. Erica was completely understanding and kind about my mistake, and luckily, we were able to extend our stay for the extra day. She was incredibly understanding and flexible with checkout.

If I am ever in Tucson again, I would definitely want to return.

Quintessential Tuscon Home

  • 5 of 5

Some friends and I traveled to Tucson for the El Tour De Tuscon bike ride and this home was a perfect fit for us. It's close to the start line, so we didn' thave to drive there and when we finished we just rode straight home! The home is very cute, decorated nicely. Comfortable bed and clean. Recently remodeled and well kept. The backyard was so cute, modern and a great place to hang out with a glass of wine. While we didn't get a chance to use the fireplace, it looked so cozy and tempting. One thing to note, the train rolls by this property regularly. I personally did not mind this, but it did affect some of our guests.

The home owner, was a great host in that she left us a card with directions, a few tips on where to eat and made us feel very welcome!

A great stay!
