About Erica K.

An entrepreneur by nature, I have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that a self directed path can provide. I have loved to travel and annually embark upon both a beach vacation and an exotic destination in a far away continent - you will find exotic mementos from my travels adorn El Milagro and inspire the eclectic sampling of the world within. Growing up in Tucson and feeling a connection to this style of architecture/ property, I wanted to name my special Casa to honor my connection to the heritage of the house, hence the name El Milagro - which means The Miracle of the Neighborhood - a miracle to own a home, a miracle this place has stood 135 years - a miracle of light and laughter within---. While home in Tucson, I love to landscape, You will see me working on my properties tending to the mesquite trees, Peruvian apple cactus a native willow or assisting guests at El Milagro and other homes. I have always enjoyed cooking - entertaining friends and family and hosting many social events, and look forward to hosting you during your stay in Tucson!

Beautifully restored adobe home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautifully restored adobe home May 12-15th for UofA Graduation. There were 5 of us , and two dogs. Erica met us upon arrival and showed us around. We felt like pampered guests staying in her own home. The home is decorated beautifully, and everything you could possibly need is provided. Comfortable beds, wonderfully comfortable furnishings. Kitchen is wonderful. A highlight was the private, fenced in courtyard in the back. We could let the dogs out without worry. Parking can be a problem downtown, and certainly on campus graduation day. We took an uber most everywhere and never paid more than $5 each way. We will remember this trip fondly. Thank you, Erica, for everything!

Absolutely delightful property in every possible way.

I could not possibly have been more pleased with the Milagro house, as we called it all week. The spectacular patio provided many hours of private, lounging space with an awesome array of beautiful desert trees and cactus. The lizards and birds, including hummingbirds, became my best friends. Even passing trains added a dimension of color one does not find often. Within walking distance of El Charro and the Tucson Folk Festival. I just simply loved the place! Beautiful, warm furnishings with a Southwestern flair. ALL who were fortunate enough to visit us there were equally impressed. Muchos gracias!! See you this fall!

Unique desert oasis

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at El Milagro. With two young kids in tow, I was a bit worried about how we would all fair (and how breakable all of the beautiful decorations would be! ). We settled in quickly and easily and were very comfortable.

We loved the huge dining room table--we ate most meals there, and played games as well. The kitchen was well-stocked and had amazing light. The tile work and lighting in the small bathroom is a work of art. Aside from the train, which did not bother us, there wasn't much noticeable noise outside. There were ample towels and extra comforts everywhere, including chocolate!

There were two "cons" if you will--the mattress in the master bedroom was not level, leaving us both with a feeling like we were lying on our heads. We immediately moved to the spare queen bed for the duration and slept well. The other downside was that there was one TV, and it wasn't very comfortable to view.

We did not get to meet Erica, but she provided a wonderful service anyway. We would definitely come back again!

Fantastic

Well equipped! Comfortable. Elaborate gardens rival the museum. Don't miss it. Would rent again in a minute. Thank you Erica. Even train whistles didn't mar stay and the dogs loved it.

Wonderful

We really liked our visit to Tucson.

We arrived late in the evening though so ithe house was a bit tough to find, even with directions and a GPS. Also, because it's on a corner with an empty parking lot and a school, the property seemed a bit secluded.

However, we had regular communication from Erika who was looking out for us, which we appreciated. And, when we opened the door, we thought we were home. The house is lovely; we had everything we needed, and then some. I guess if you're into television, there could be an issue because while there were two television I don't think one had cable. Overall, everything you could ask for was at your fingertips. I loved every stick of furniture and all of the local art. The yard was great for a fire (couldn't get the bbq to work and forgot to mention that to Erika). The bedding was divine, which I love.

There were trains but not one of us thought anything of them. We took the offered ear plugs but they weren't used. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect, just what we pictured....homey,interesting and convenient.

Love the trains; represents the blood line of America, so much of Tucsons history, good and bad is tied to the railroads arrival in this area. We look forward to staying here again. Thanks Erica. The Panthers
