Our "Deluxe Studio" is located at a cool elevation and just 2 miles from kahaluu beach park for snorkeling and 10 minutes from Historic Kona Town! All the creature comforts are available in this very comfortable gem. It is a triplex and my girlfriend and I live upstairs and we have the 1 bedroom and the studio are on the first floor. We are very quiet and take pride of ownership for our guests.

We have fruits and veggies when in season! Beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, 2 boogy boards, snorkel gear and flashlights for a volcano run are available here for you. Unit is 10 feet from your parking space and no stairs. One stair in unit and one stair from bedroom to patio.FREE INTERNET- We have either wireless or hardwire internet connections.

Please use a compact or midsize car for our parking space. Vans are not the best option....


No security deposit required from our guests. We rely on the HONOR system!

We have many activity brochures and a 'suggested best bets list' including beaches and restaurants to help you plan. Sip a cold one and watch the sunset out on the patio or use the bbq and enjoy... We have buffed this place out so you can experience the Aloha Spirit as we say in Hawaii!


The kitchen has plenty of counterspace, a microwave, electric skillet, full size

refrigerator and all kinds of pots, pans and utencils which is a full

kitchen. Double burners as well. No oven in the Studio. BBQ outside.

1, 42" HDTV is located in living room.

Living room a comfortable couch and lounge pillows you will love as well.

It is not a sofa sleeper.

The bathroom has marble counters, maple cabinets, with a tile shower along with a brand new 17in water saver toilet and tile floors. Fairly new construction.

Further Details: We have been on the big island for 30 years and chose this area because of the perfect central location. We are easy going and care about all our friends wants and needs! We love to surf and play tennis- Close to all activities.

NOTE: if this unit is booked we have another one room unit that is immaculate as well and has similar pricing!

The reason we bought this house was the location just 3 miles up from kona town and the ocean view. All of our neighbors share the 'Aloha Spirit!' with us and our guests...

This unit faces east/west and gets the daytime west winds and the cool nightime east winds for peaceful sleeping...-No A/C needed because of our 600 foot elevation...... 1 ceiling fan for ample ventilation...Feel the natural breezes here! Usually it is sunny in the daytime and then towards sunset time we may get a nice, cool shower or two and then the next morning is usually nice and sunny again....Kona weather is very comfortable-

Great adventures on The Big Island

Having an amazing time on the Big Island we definitely give credits to the place where we were staying being part of it. Henry's place situated on a hill in close proximity to Kona town, it has everything you just might need for a vacation. Starting with bird's twitting, an incredible ocean view, vistas of sunset, sunrise and everything in between. Spacious studio packed with beach/day trips equipment and has a kitchen equipped enough to make your own meals from scratch (for dietary or budget restricted travelers). Coming to the island with only one carry-on each we never lucked anything.

Henry made special effort to make sure we are finding the place upon arrival and was kind enough to offer us late check out (subject to availability that depends on next check in) as our flight had very late departure, and we feel like we owe him a big thank you for that, as we were able spend the entire day on the beach and rest and clean up ourselves after that for the flight.

Best Place, Best View,

A beautiful place to stay. Host's were great , friendly couple, loves orchids. The Ocean view from the deck was GREAT!, comes with the sunset from the deck. The apartment was clean and comfortable. There is also a equipped kitchen in the apartment. There is also a hot tub to use, however we were so busy didn't have time to use it. I would highly recommend this apartment. We are hoping to return next year. Thanks!

Great place to relax at the end of the day

Wonderful view, great bed, nice and quiet, very relaxing. We were looking for a place to base our first exploration of the Kona area. We made a simple breakfast and left for the day to explore the West side of the Island. And returned to a great bed for a wonderful sleep. And Henry has all the extras if you want to stay close and enjoy the local area.

Perfect in Paradise

We spent 3 days & nights in the very clean, extremely comfortable and well-equipped deluxe studio. Everything you could want from kitchen appliances & utensils to leftover containers made eating some of our meals in possible. Gas BBQ available, though did not use. Beach towels, umbrella, insulated lunch bag, picnic supplies and bags to carry all were available. The photos do not tell the complete story about how nice and comfortable and spacious this place really is. The hot tub on the private patio is simply icing on this delicious cake. Mahalo!

A lovely stay in a beautiful location

I had a great time staying here and would wholeheartedly recommend to future visitors.

The location: This is in the hills about 10-15 minutes south of the center of Kailua-Kona, 15-20 minutes south of the airport. It's a beatiful location in the hills with lots of plants in the yard and along the whole street, and a direct view of the ocean from the window and back patio. A little cooler in the hills than at sea level. Convenient to shopping, farmers market, and the Kailua-Kona city center towards the north, and some excellent snokeling spots including Kahaluu Bay and Kealakekua Bay slightly to the south.

The studio: This place is very clean and everything is in great shape. The fan in the living room/bedroom area has a remote control and dimmable light. There is a hot-tub out on the back patio with a view of the ocean and sunset (due to weather I didn't manage to see any sunsets here though). No A/C but not really needed with the weather, fan, and good airflow with windows open (screens keep out bugs). The kitchen doesn't have a full stove/oven but the electric countertop griddle and propane grill outside was just fine. It has just about everything you need, and the dishes are all in good shape, even the chef's knife was in good shape (often not the case in vacation rentals). There is a modern washing machine and dryer available for use although I didn't end up needing it. Things like light switches and and faucets are generally labeled which is great for a visitor so you don't have to spend 10 minutes after you arrive just figuring out how these work - and then forgetting after a day out snorkeling.

He also provides a number of helpful items for use during your stay like beach towels, beach bag, snorkel gear, a cooler, and probably more that I'm forgetting.

The host: Henry is very friendly and accomodating. He stays on the property in a separate upstairs unit with his girlfriend. He had a lot of helpful suggestions on things to do in the area, and it was nice talking to him. Because he lives on-site he does ask for quiet hours starting at 8pm, which might seem a bit early, but because of the somewhat rural quiet location and getting up early for activities (early morning is best time for hiking and most water activities) I was in bed by 9 or 10pm anyways and waking up naturally at or before 6am. If you're coming from the west coast of mainland try to maintain Pacific time to beat the crowds - the water is warm even in early morning.
