Relax and celebrate all in one place!

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place for family and holidays near Eldora and Ft Collins. This was perfect. Beautiful inside and out and ready for Christmas dinner. We were all comfortable and it was convenient for all the events we had planned. We recommend this to families with college kids or grandparents in the group.

Adventurous Retreat

  • 5 of 5

What a spectacular location for my adventurous family to explore Colorado! We sent several days in the Rockies, with day trips to Boulder, Fort Collins, and Loveland. All just a short drive away. Several highlights of our day trips were the galleries in Boulder, the trial gardens at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, the Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland, the country fair rodeo events in Loveland, hiking in the Rockies Mountian National Forest ( including a dash from a hail storm in August) and a day hike to Devils Backbone near Loveland. All of this exploring to return to a location of rest in the simple beauty and comfort of our accomadations. Wonderful Hosts and a outstanding location.

A lovely vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

This house was a wonderful place to stay during our family vacation! It had plenty of amenities and the comforts of home, while also maintaining a simple, clean, and tranquil atmosphere. We were very pleased that there was an element of privacy, while also having access to many places to soak up the culture of Colorado. Boulder, Loveland, Fort Collins, and Estes Park were all a relatively short drive away. The owners, Russell and Rita, were so kind and accommodating, a welcome change from the distant atmosphere of a hotel. They were very happy to ensure that our stay was pleasant. Our family enjoyed our vacation here very much, and will be happy to stay again!

This house has a great open feel to it.

  • 5 of 5

Wow, what a beautiful and relaxing space with wonderful views of many mountain peaks. After a long trip it was like coming to some sort of green oasis of calm and beauty. The owners were so helpful and even offered to help us unload our suitcases (you don’t see that everyday). Maybe they recognized how beat we were. In any case, we felt like we were coming home.

The home had a wonderful open feel to it. I loved the southwestern design of real wooden logs and various Indian artifacts speckled through the home. I thoroughly enjoyed the flatscreen TV with access to Netflix (a nice touch). The kitchen, living room and eating area are all in one room so while watching movies we could prepare some snacks.

We also spent some time on all three of the decks. We felt deck rich (smile). During the daytime we enjoyed the privacy of the two decks facing south towards the mountains. The deck off the living room even has a roof on it so one can sit out there during a light rain. In the evening the screened in porch facing north with the two hammock connectors was magical. We literally enjoyed hanging out there for hours at a time, taking in all the aromas and sounds of the relaxing countryside. One night we actually dozed off. We felt like kids again.

This is simply a most wonderful place I can highly recommend if you’re looking to get away from it all but at the same time want access to shopping at the nearby towns, Berthoud, Loveland, Ft. Collins, Lyons, Longmont, Boulder, Greeley and even Estes Park. Denver surprisingly, was only about a 40 minute drive, and the airport around 50 minutes. This place is literally in the middle of every worthwhile destination.

Truth be told, we did the shopping thing for only a couple of days because it was so nice and homey feeling at this retreat. It was a time of reconnecting, having fun, healing, exploring, and being at peace. We’ll be back for sure.

A Business Trip with a Homey Touch

  • 5 of 5

Our two evening stay at A Country Retreat was perfect for us. We had business in the area and needed a space to conduct both ’one on one’ and Internet meetings. The layout of the property was ideal for our objectives. The owners were friendly and very accommodating, so much better than a commercial motel/hotel chain. The space was clean and nicely decorated in a tasteful uncluttered southwestern style. The homey and warm atmosphere allowed our clients to feel relaxed as though they were home themselves.

We felt privacy yet friendship.

Thank you so much for the most wonderful stay at a Country Retreat. It was quiet and welcoming.

Loved the house and your hospitality,

We stayed for my birthday weekend and wanted to just relax, go out, eat near by, and have a good time. The cozy atmosphere gave me exactly what I wanted.

I especially loved the bedroom, first, it is a very large room and nicely decorated in warm orange colors and butter yellows. The temperature was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. There is a walk-in closet with ample hangers for storage and dressers and the washer and dryer is also right there. The kitchen is a full kitchen with everything you need. The dining area has a table with 6 chairs but if needed the table seats easily 8 or even 10 people by adding more chairs. ( I’m thinking of inviting a small family gathering in the near future). The bathroom has two sets of vanity drawers and two sinks, a full Jacuzzi style tub and a separate roomy shower with some wall jets and the two-person jetted tub was very soothing after our night out. The toilet paper and kleenex provided, are not your normal thin hotel variety, but the kind you would buy for your own home. Another good thing they provide is, high speed internet with a really good signal. The living room has two leather sofas that can easily seat 3 adults each and felt also cozy for the two of us laying on it with the adjustable ends up There is a flat screen satellite TV in the living room that has excellent choices of local, network and Internet TV like Netflix, good for staying in at night and watching movies.

We experienced great hospitality from the keeper, he could of not been a better host, friendly and very accommodating. This gave us added peace of mind knowing someone was available if need be.

If your plans include Ft. Collins, Loveland, Lyons Longmont, or Boulder, this is the perfect location in natural surroundings.
