A much needed family vacation in the perfect place!!!

  • 5 of 5

The minute we pulled in the driveway I smiled. We all had a feeling that this was going to be the perfect place to stay. The view of Lake Michigan is spectacular!!

Six of us were staying and there was plenty of room. My cousin really liked the bedroom that's accessible from outside the house. Would be perfect for kids.

The rest of the cottage was spacious and we loved the décor. The sunroom at the back of the cottage was our favorite place when we weren't outside. Also made use of the fire pit in the back bringing back fond memories of summers "Up North".

My cousin and I really appreciated the opportunity to kayak on the lake. Great fun.

There is plenty to do nearby. Good eating in Manistee and Frankfort which isn't too far away. Another fun thing we found to do was walk an Audubon trail only a few minutes from the cottage.

And of course there were the sunsets, words don't do them justice . We were also able to enjoy a storm on the lake and my wife and I were fortunate enough to see some deer!

My only regret was we couldn't stay longer. I have already recommended Roselle's Retreat to others. Can't say enough good things about it and hope to return in the future.

Excellent place, highly recommended.

  • 5 of 5

This house was excellent. Very clean, very well maintained, the details were great. We felt like somebody just left their own house for us to stay. The outside was amazing I would say. The fire pit, the swing, the general setup and the view of the lake is breath taking. The beach was also great, amazing sand, crystal clear waters, we had an amazing time swimming. Finally, Gloria was very nice and helpful and was ready for anything, she even gave us some wood for a bonfire at night.

All in all, this was my first time renting a lake house for the family, and we were pleasantly surprised with the fact that the place exceeded our expectations.

The details do mention that the third bedroom has actually access only from outside, something we didnt pay attention to when reading on the website, so make sure you understand that. It was not a deal breaker for sure, and I think teenagers would enjoy the experience.

A true Michigan gem

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful setting right on Lake Michigan with plenty of solitude and peacefulness. Come here to disconnect from your busy life and let time stand still. This cottage boasts the best that Michigan has to offer. Great spot for family trips or a couple's getaway weekend. Love the big glassed in porch. Treat yourself and spend a week here!

We have had an awesome time at Roselle's retreat. This place is perfect. It has it all! The beach is beautiful. Picture perfect. You can walk North or South and its miles of perfect beach. The kids love it, they would play in the sand and surf all day. The house (they say cottage but thats not giving it enough credit) is all that you would need. We have stayed 2 years in a row and hope to make it a third. It really is hard to put into words. The views, the beach, the house, the property, the vicinity to town....this place has it all. Thank you to Mark for 2 wonderful vacations. It has meant a lot to our family.
