This loft, built in 2006, is a quiet retreat. It is a spacious 850 sq. feet, with a fully equipped kitchen and a sunset-view, covered deck with a gas grill. Downtown, Lake Coeur d'Alene, North Idaho College and City Park are all within a 2-10 minute walk. The Centennial Trail is within a block, and skiing is only 45 minutes away. It is a great launching pad for an active visit.

I am in my 34th year as an elementary educator, much of it in Coeur d' Alene, both as a teacher and principal.
I love living in Coeur d' Alene and regularly take advantage of the lake, mountains, biking trails and the cozy downtown.
David Groth purchased this condo in 2006
I will do everything I can to make your stay a great one!
Classy, comfortable, well-stocked. My favorite part of the loft? The west-facing deck, which feels like a tree fort.
Your place is lovely and very convenient to town. We enjoyed ourselves. It was perfect. Thank you!
The location is perfect! It's in close proximity to "downtown" as well as the City Park and Beach. The rental is better than described. It's immaculate, modern and comfortable. It is also well stocked with everything you need in a kitchen, extra linens and towels. The deck is comfortable and a great place to retreat. The owner was incredibly pleasant and kind and very helpful and responsive in coordinating my stay. I highly recommend this rental.
The first things we noticed was the quiet and cozy loft was what we truly needed. It had everything we were hoping for. The weekend would not have been the same if it were not for the full amenities, including a full kitchen, washer and dryer , and a grill. It is in a perfect location close to the beach and down town. To top it off after enjoying our full day of fun, we were able to walk into the Loft relax and not worry about people in the room next to us, around us, or parting in the hallways. We did not want to leave, but as they say, never say goodbye, always say until we see each other again. Loft, we will see you again. David, you truly have a great place, thank you for your kindness we will be contacting you again and have already told many people how great it is there.
We just had the pleasure of spending 4 nights at this great condo. The unit was very clean and is in absolutely the PERFECT location. A great beach is a 5 minute walk down the street, the popular shops and pubs on Sherman Ave near the resort are a 10 min walk through the park, and you can jog to the Tubbs Hill hiking area in less than 10 minutes. The CDA summer theater is a couple blocks away and is running some professional quality shows this summer. The owner is a first-class, local guy that takes care of everything and goes out of his way to make your stay perfect. We stayed as a family of 5 and there was plenty of room and tons of floor space in the living room to lay out an extra mattress or two - which are provided in the closet. Bottom line: We will visit CDA again and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Highly recommend.
Great location! I came for a weekend and enjoyed the locations which was a block from the lake, a block from NIC and a couple of block from downtown. It was quite - great for sleeping - was clean and spacious. It is best for two people, but can accommodate up to 4 people. The other sleeping area is in the living area. The outdoor eating area is spacious, much better than I imagined. I would highly recommend staying here.
I stayed here about 7 months ago with my boyfriend, and am writing this review now because I still have dreams about how wonderful our time in CDA was. This rental was an amazing find in an amazing town! I work in the luxury travel industry and almost always need to travel "in-style", yet given the so-so reviews at the large resort, we decided on using VRBO to select our lodging. We are quite happy with that decision!
The moment we walked in, we were so impressed...the loft was very nicely decorated, spacious, and immaculately clean. The bed was as comfortable as a cloud, the kitchen well-stocked, and the washer/dryer was a very welcome convenience after 5 days in Yellowstone!
The location couldn't be more perfect; so close to downtown shops, restaurants, and the beach--yet set-back enough from the noise and bustle. We enjoyed the shopping, nightlife, water sports, and the beautiful park. We definitely couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the inflatable canoe. We carried it out to the lake and spent the next two hours teaching each other our own unique rowing strategy, and learning the meaning of "teamwork". The next day, we crashed the CDA marathon and met so many kind, friendly locals! It was such a memorable trip!
David was so helpful and hospitable, and always promptly available if we had any questions. I can wholeheartedly recommend this dwelling...you won't regret it!
First, I'd like to say that the photos of the apartment cannot do this place justice. The place in incredibly spacious and easily you can envision calling this a long term residence for years if you had to. It had all the amenities and conveniences you'd need for day to day living including ample closet space and drawers galore for your clothing. Everything is newly redone.
Location was great! It's a two block walk to the park (great for the kiddies!). Two block walk to the beach and lake access to launch the kayaks Dave provides. Easy walk to downtown, resort and marina.
Although it is a one bedroom unit, we used one of the walk in closets in the bedroom as a room for our four year old son. The unit comes with a cot and twin mattress which we placed in the very oversized closet. There was a lot of extra space even with the bed in the closet.
The AC was a great perk to have at this time of year. Laundry machines are very new and work like a charm. It's always a treat when you don't have a suitcase full of dirty laundry when you arrive home. We cooked breakfast on the gas range and ate on the outdoor deck every morning. If we weren't in town for a family gathering, the kitchen could have easily facilitated cooking dinners and lunches.
Dave and his family were very personable, yet they give you the privacy you need. He went out of his way to find a child size life jacket so we could go boating on the lake. Our son loved their cats that we would meet on the property. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to witness Dave juggling although all the equipment in the garage will pique your curiosity.
We would stay at this unit in a heartbeat on our next visit to Coeur D'Alene. Not to sound too cliche but it did feel like a home away from home.
Centennial Bike Trail passes within two blocks of the loft.
