Bright and airy second floor apartment in historic colonial village. You can leave the car at home and walk to numerous fantastic restaurants, shops, market, park and waterfront. The East Bay Bike Path is minutes away, as well a convenient bus stop. With hardwood floors, the apartment has a well-equipped kitchen with dining for 6+. Relax and unwind in the comfortable living room or on the patio in the stunning private garden. Enjoy an evening fire on the patio, or stroll to one of the many excellent restaurants. Sleeping arrangements include a full-sized bed and two twin beds.
This is a very convenient central location if you are interested in day trips, conventions or parent's weekends. Providence (train and bus connections) is a 20 minute drive; Newport 40 minutes; Boston 65 minutes and the Cape 60 -90 minutes. Many colleges are in the area: Roger Williams is a 5 minute drive; Brown, RISD and Johnson & Wales are 20 minutes. RI Hospital, Women & Infants, Butler and VA Hospital, as well as the convention center are also an easy 20 minute drive. Relax in Warren after a hectic day of professional development or settling the kids at their college.
The immediate neighborhood (walkable!) has antique shops, boutiques, artisans' shops, fine dining, and casual dining. There are also several interesting historic sites.
While not a sleeper sofa, the sofa in the living room is long, wide and comfortable. It is possible for a fifth guest to use this for sleeping.
Property owner Sheila live on the first floor with a cat and an elderly dog. I am available as much or as little as wished.
I absolutely love Warren. It is a little bit of everything: artsy, gritty, aristocratic, historic, progressive and, most importantly, 'undiscovered' by the common tourist. Warren has a vibrant waterfront, with boating and fishing opportunities; there are phenomenal restaurants along Water Street, coupled with delightful antique shops, boutiques, art galleries, and shops that defy categorization. Then, of course, there's the East Bay Bike Path which runs 14 miles from Providence to Bristol, smack through Warren. Finally, the location is incredibly convenient: 30 minutes, more or less, to Newport, Providence, the airport and train station, numerous universities and commercial centers, and only 60 minutes to Boston or the Cape.
The apartment was terrific! Cozy, but with enough space to not feel crowded. This was my first VRBO experience and my kids and I loved it! Thank you, Sheila!
Let me first say the apartment was as pictured – very quaint and cozy. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. We were not able to take advantage of the pretty gated yard, but it looked inviting. The overall cleanliness of the apartment was very good there was really only 1 thing - my daughter found an empty water bottle under her bed (not ours). I would also like to mention the toaster was not working – which I was a little disappointed as I really wanted to toast my bagel. However, I did forget to leave a note to let the owner know the toaster was not working as maybe other guests did to – so I’m not sure how she would know to replace the toaster.
We enjoyed our stay at the property. I definitely recommend it and would stay again.
This was our second time staying here. Love everything - I am not one that enjoys sleeping somewhere else & this apartment is perfect. Love the charm of an older home, cute furnishings, comfy bed & nice shower. Will stay again if we head this way :) Stacey T.
My sisters and I stayed for 2 days and had a great time. We love Bristol and thought we'd give Warren a try. The ocean is a short walk, maybe 4/5 blocks, from the rental. We walked to the public dock to sit and watch the sunset one night. We had dinner at the Square Peg which is also walking distance, but small less than 10 tables.. It was nice to discover Warren but we are in LOVE with Bristol, which is less than 10 mins away. So much to do there. Places to see/visit... Blithewood Mansion, Colt State Park and lots of quaint downtown shops. Aiden's Pub is a must stop for us every time we visit. There were bikes available with the rental which would've been nice to use because there is a bike path throughout the area, a lot of which is near the shore. The only negatives for us were the beds they were pretty hard and every time we used the stove even to heat water the smoke alarm in the bedroom would go off. If we kept the door shut it stopped. Overall the rental was great and Sheila was friendly and very quick to respond and check to see we had everything we needed.
This little apartment is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to go a little more off the beaten path. The owner, Sheila, was very accommodating and responded very quickly to reservation requests/questions. The apartment itself was very clean, fully equipped, and had plenty of space to sleep any group up to around 5 people. The location was wonderful, as it was just a quick walk to the downtown area where there are plenty of little places to grab something to eat and some interesting shops to poke around in. While there was some noise in the morning from the warehouse next to the property, I wouldn't say that it disrupted my stay in any way.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in that area of Rhode Island. It was perfect!
