It's a comfortable house with lots of amenities and great lake frontage but, don't take our word for it....please read our reviews for first-hand opinions of the house.
Then come join those who have spotted deer, owls, hawks, blue herons and eagles all from the deck. This fisherman's paradise provides everything to please the entire family. Enjoy nightly sunsets on one of the four decks overlooking the lake. This is a Pure Michigan Vacation at it's finest!
Please check out our other houses: #3592786 also on High Lake and #3772809 on nearby Lake George!!
My husband and I had a great time at this house. From the moment we walked in the front door it felt inviting-it's not your typical "cottage" on the lake, it's a full gorgeous house! Very nicely furnished, time/effort was put into it, which we truly appreciated.
The view was absolutely beautiful! The furniture was very nice and comfortable inclusive of the master bed. They have even provided great outdoor furniture. There is no need to bring your lawn chairs! The owners have truly thought of everything, they had a fully stocked kitchen, inclusive of dinnerware, pots and pans and spices.
My husband and I plan on bringing our kids back this summer, they have kayaks and a fishing boat plus life jackets...we truly have no need to look for another vacation spot in the future.
Beyond the house it is only a few minutes from anything you need, groceries, casino, great food, and of course the breath taking wineries! Traverse City is by a great place to vacation or to just get away for the weekend!
We've enjoyed this great home twice. Last summer we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family - our daughter, son, their spouses, and three grandchildren. It was such a nice experience, we decided to go again this year! The house is very comfortable, and is equipped with just about anything you need. The decorating touches are great, and the leather couch in the living room is extremely comfortable and accommodates several
The location is super - less than a half hour drive to Traverse City where we enjoyed shopping, restaurants, the beach, etc. There is a park within walking distance of the house with tennis and basketball courts, a ball field, playground, and more. Our family had a great time playing basketball and tennis.
It's handy to have a store practically at the end of the driveway, and Peegeo's Restaurant very close by with takeout service - great pizza!
There is also a grocery store and a very nice golf course within a 10-15 minute drive.
We loved the kayaks and the fire pit, and the three decks that all provide a different view of the lake, which was pretty quiet the week we were there.
The foosball table on the lower level is another fun feature. If you can handle the many stairs involved, you should love this property.
Colleen is very pleasant and responds quickly to any issues you may have. It was a pleasure to meet her. We would highly recommend this house.
The family had a great time. So peaceful even during Cherry Fest. Thank you for everything.
We were very pleased with this house. It is on the lake and the kids immediately started swimming. Weather was nice but it did have a/c if needed. It was easy to find and in a good location for going out on day trips and coming back. There are many stairs going to the house and then down to the lake. We didn't have any issues climbing them but I imagine there are some people that may find that difficult. I would stay again.
We loved staying at this lake house. It is clean, super comfortable and beautifully designed. My husband and I shared the lower level and our two college age kids were upstairs. We enjoyed the open floor plan of the main living area - it was easy to prepare meals without missing any family time. The lake is lovely, and I was able to swim during the second week of June. Colleen was very responsive to questions and concerns. I would give this rental two thumbs up!!
We chose this property after deciding to have all the grown children meet up for a vacation get away and we couldn’t be happier that we picked this lakeside home! It is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. It was Just what we needed. There is so much to do in the area. When we weren’t taking part in the local activities and/or sites, we took advantage of the kayak and row boat use. The men fished day and night while the women kayaked, swam and just relaxed!! Whenever pictures were posted on social media we were bombarded with comments of how gorgeous everything was there. We are already talking about coming back next year.
The only negatives my two The Ohio State University graduates had was that it was in Michigan! O-H!
We had the most fabulous stay at Colleen's wonderful cottage. The property is absolutely stunning, with plenty to do. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything we would need for cooking! The house was very clean and cute with a lot of character. Colleen was a fabulous host and I'd absolutely recommend this property!!
