Fabulous Setting: Unique water’s-edge 3 BR, 2 bath vacation house situated on 100 acres on quiet, clean Medomak Lake (also called Washington Pond) with 1/2 mile of private shoreline. Upscale renovation featuring lake views, light-filled great room, hardwood floors, and all new furniture and appliances (including laundry, dishwasher, and wifi).
Wake to picture-window lake views and gently chirping birds and fall asleep to the call of loons. Breakfast on the screened-in porch overlooking the lake or on the sunny dock just steps away. Swim, canoe (boat included), fish or just relax. Walk in the woods or hike nearby trails. Explore the town of Washington with its Saturday Farmer's market, art gallery, library, post office, and convenience store.
Located a half-hour from major tourist attractions on the Maine Coast, including the Rockland/Camden area with excellent museums, art galleries, and top restaurants—both fine dining and lobster pounds. Visit lighthouses and beaches, take a whale watching cruise, ferry out to islands for biking, exploring, and lobster bakes.
We spend a week on this beautiful home on the shore of Washington pond. It was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable vacations we've had.
The description of the property is quite accurate. The house has been tastefully redone (recently, it seems) and is filled with light. The main living areas feel open and spacious, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with quality appliances.
The setting is postcard perfect: surrounded by acres of wooded land you will find yourself in a clearing with a small dock leading to the water. The view from the dock is fantastic, and having the luxury of spending the afternoon alternating between reading on that dock and enjoying a lazy swim out to the floating deck and back is worth the drive out to Maine. The house is so close to the water you could almost jump out the window and into the lake! And to top it all off, the feeling of privacy is hard to match. Highly recommended!
The house is so close to the water you almost feel as if you could jump from the second floor right into a stunningly beautiful lake. The house itself is gorgeous: the living spaces are incredibly comfortable, with high ceilings and plenty of light filtering through the trees surrounding the house. Just being able to sit on the small deck watching the hours go by would have been worth the drive. Add to this a fully equipped kitchen, a screened porch for lovely dinners, a sense of privacy you'll be hard-pressed to recreate elsewhere (unless you are on a tent in the middle of the woods!), and the result is one of our most memorable vacations ever. Cannot recommend this highly enough!
Beautiful, newly renovated house with high ceilings and great light. House is so close to the water--closer than you can build these days. The sun plays of the lake an into the upstairs bedroom where we stayed. Lots of windows, great views, and really peaceful. There's a small general store nearby with good food and a grocery store. Cabin was spotless and very well-maintained. Listing was accurate. Canoes, etc., available, and in good shape. Highly recommend taking a spin around the lake. Customer service was great. Definitely recommend.
This lovely cabin had something for everyone. The kids took full advantage of being right on the lake fishing, swimming, and going out on the canoes. I enjoyed walks up the long driveway and back roads. And when we needed to come indoors, we relaxed or worked with WiFi or enjoyed binging on Netflix. The house was well appointed with plenty of room for my family of five. We especially enjoyed eating our meals on the screened in porch overlooking the lake. Beyond the property, we enjoyed the short drives to Camden or to Windsor and Union to enjoy the Fairs.

We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic cottage. Completely isolated from the the rest of the lake with over a mile of uninterrupted shore between us and the next home. Wonderful to be able to sit out on the dock and hear the loons at night. Cottage is perfect - excellent wifi, lots of space, new modern appliances, and brilliant light in all of the rooms. We liked the fact that the kitchen was perfectly equipped with an outdoor grill. Found a great place to buy organic produce and meats in the small town of Washington which meant not having to go into the larger towns for dinner supplies during the week. We also really liked being on a small quiet Maine lake but close enough to Camden and Rockport to go over and enjoy the ocean without the coastal scene. All told, a great week and we will be back. Thanks so much for the perfect vacation
