About Michelle Henson

We started vacationing in Trinity Center over twenty years ago. We love the area and all that it has to offer in terms of boating, fishing, hiking, recreating, and having fun with friends and family.

Michelle Henson purchased this cabin in 2005

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

House was perfect for a family of 4! Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Linens and bathroom towels also nice quality. If you travel with a boat, you will need to back it down the driveway. Also we put our boat in a slip at Trinity Center Resort (between Weaverville and the house). Air conditioning was perfect and quiet neighborhood. Kids enjoyed playing pool in the converted garage. The porch upstairs, the main living area, was great during the cool evenings. Overall this house was a great home base for all our Trinity adventures!!

Great little getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our stay.. House was clean and had all the amenities of home, washer, dryer, full kitchen. Bring enough food for your stay because it's a little drive to the nearest store or bar and pub . My cell phone service did not work as I have Sprint. Read a review where one renter said it was quite noisy . We on the other hand did not hear a thing . Loved seeing the deer come down the mountains in the morning. Definitely will come back again .

Quiet location near lake

Place was perfect for the two of us. Comfortable, clean and the porch is great for relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time their and look forward to coming back. We had an easy time parking the 14 foot boat. We recommend this place!

Pleasantly surprised!

  • 4 of 5

Once we got inside, we were pleased to see such a nice, upgraded cabin! It was clean and had everything we needed! What a nice relaxing treat to end our backpacking/camping trip with a couple nights in this great and conveniently-located cabin! Michelle was very prompt in getting back to us, also! We will definitely be coming here again the next time we are in the area!

Nice quiet weekend getaway near Trinity Lake

  • 4 of 5

Reservation was easy to make and Michelle was very responsive.

We met up with friends and enjoyed a relaxing weekend. Many places to hike nearby - recommend Lake Eleanor for a nice day hike. The kitchen, deck, and living space was all very comfortable and inviting. Lots of available cookware to use (including cast iron pan and crock pot). Note: Bring your own seasonings beyond salt and pepper. The two bathrooms were great.

The cons: The surrounding properties are a mish-mosh of trailers, campers and cabins. Some neighbors were a bit loud during the day - just not a completely peaceful mood. Downstairs area had utility carpet and slightly different furnishings than pictured. Worked OK for us, but there really was only beds for 7 when we were there. Stairs are really steep with short steps. I would be nervous with small children and it is not ideal for a person with knee problems. Bathroom needs more first aid supplies.
