A clean private bungalow, to rent, set amongst the abundance of natural beauty of Jurassic Park.
The bungalow come with a fully equipped kitchen, a double bed (if required, another bed can be arranged), a bathroom with shower, and a terrace with views of the beautiful green tropical valley and the ocean.
Jurassic Park is a magical place situated on a small hill, in a tranquil valley, 3-5 mins outside of the main town Las Terrenas.
A short stroll behind us there are two waterfalls with pools - which are extremely inviting, especially when its hot, great for cooling off and helping to make you feel at peace with the world.
We have semi controlled jungle areas which we continue to improve and make part of the attraction of being here.
There is very little light pollution (no upward facing lights) so you can view the night sky, from our open pool terrace, which are mostly spectacular all year round.
If you are a star gazer, a writer or a poet you would feel very much at home here.
We are moving towards self sufficiency and Eco tourism. We already have pure spring water and we have solar panels and solar water heaters.
We will in the future add a variety of electric vehicles for guests.
If you have children then this is a natural wonderland providing constant amazement. Indeed, visits from the local children, who are a breath of fresh air, will aid your children in understanding this environment.
To top it off we have a trampoline which is very popular with children and uncontrollably happy adults alike.
We also grow many fruits and vegetables and indeed as I write this the wife has popped out to our herb garden for some coriander.
We hope to have created a much more personal and friendly feeling.
We have a great track record of content, repeat visitors. It seems that a return visit is a must, once you have been bitten by the magic and unadulterated beauty of our little oasis.
Also for a small additional fee we now offer breakfast (typically eggs, toast, seasonal fruits, juices, vegetable and cheese empanadas and coffee in our jungle communal area. Its a great chance to discuss your days activities and learn the best places to go. Just let us know before hand.
See you soon
We moved to Dominican Republic in 2008 in search of a better life. We found it! Arriving from London and speaking little Spanish, it has certainly been an interesting adventure, learning much in the 4 and half years living here. My wife and I met in London 11 years ago at a Brazilian Samba party. Our former professions being a far cry from our current life: myself an Accountant and Helena a Textile Designer.
We are happily married with our two wonderful children Safiya and Zaidan, enjoying a very active lifestyle, living in our Caribbean paradise.
Dominic & Helena purchased this bungalow in 2009
We chose this property and its location as a kind of dream that had been forming for many years before hand. The combined result of Helena's independent, free-spirited travels throughout latin America (prior to our meeting) plus years of vacationing in this particular part of Dominican Republic. The idea was to choose a place that would enhance our idea of a perfect lifestyle and attract like minded people. Our place embraces the culture, the people and the strong life force itself that is abundant here. We treat our guests as friends visiting and help them every step to experience the wonderful world we live in. In that it enables us to re-experience our wonderful place and the peninsular of Samana again and again through the wonder of other's eyes.
We pride ourselves on being personable and extremely helpful with our guests. Going over and beyond the norm in taking time both before booking and after arrival to ensure our guests have the vacation they've dreamed of.
Having learned a lot through keeping a positive attitude and an open mind to how things are here, we are able to impart invaluable and first hand knowledge , that will hopefully leave our guests feeling like they have truly had an unforgettable, real experience of the Dominican Republic.
Many people come to us curious as to what we have done, in daring to start a new life in a new country, culture etc... and often leave re-evaluating their own situations.
We are fully integrated with the local people and we certainly don't separate ourselves from them which would defeat the whole point of visiting one of the most beautiful and happiest places in the world. If you are curious to have a better understanding of Why .... well, we have a pretty good idea and are more than happy to share this with you.

We found the accommodation to be exactly as expected, clean, quiet & the pictures and description were accurate, view from our room was better than expected.
The place is well staffed , every minute of every day there was a member of staff on site, the pool was cleaned every day !!
We really appreciated the Eco friendly nature, with solar energy and water supply, the place has it's own solar panel power generators, Solar hot water and mountain stream fed water system.
We hired a vehicle, which is recommended, as the town and beach is just a bit too far to walk to, we found this to be no problem at all, driving around here is dead easy & relaxed, roads are in very good shape, most appear to be recently laid tarmac. The drive to Jurassic Park from the main road is about 400m & un-made, so fairly rough, but no problem for our standard 2 wheel drive car.
The town has plenty of great places to eat, Banks, Supermarkets & night life.
The local people are extremely friendly, we recommend that you take a walk, to the very close shops and bars.
We loved the place!
JP is to the rear and overlooking LT. We are surrounded by lush green jungle and vegetation that is full of all sorts of interesting tropical produce, flowers and creatures. Much of our food is produced locally and is organic.
Another striking feature are the local people. You will often hear them singing in the mornings. They are a happy people who live simple lives and certainly make most of us re think our own lives. They are warm and genuinely friendly and curious. They are likely to welcome you into their houses and offer you a coffee and the chance to sit down talk with them and take in their wonderful lives.
We have excellent door to door service for local transportation that is available 24 hrs a day. It is inexpensive and fun and also gives you the chance to meet the locals.
If you decide to bring a car we have onsite parking.
To get to us from the airport you can choose one of several method such as taxi (expensive), bus (very inexpensive) or rent a car.
