Magic is the word to describe a visit to Whispering Pines a beautifully renovated Farm House that holds the beauty and simplicity of the Mountains.
This Woodstock getaway is Majestic. It sits on approx. 27 acres with
majestic mountain views and landscape. It is so private and remote
that it feels as though you are far away from everything, yet you are
only 1.5 miles west of the village square. It's close enough for a
bike ride into town, but so wooded and peaceful that you won't even
hear a car. You will hear a babbling brook, or a great neck owl
perched high in one of the many incredibly tall pine trees. From the
back deck you can listen to the sounds of nature as the sun sets
beyond the wonderful Catskill Mountain view.
The house is beautifully furnished and has been renovated and
appointed with comfort and style. We have two bedrooms, 1.5 baths. The
master suite has a fireplace, a large soaking tub and a beautiful deck
with hammock that overlooks the mountain range. The large living room
has a fireplace, and the open family room has a large-screen TV with
Netflix for the times you just want to curl and relax inside. Our hand
crafted kitchen with beautiful dark walnut counters has everything
you'll need to make a gourmet meal for loved ones or friends. Sit down
and dine at the large rustic farm dining table or on the massive
picnic table on one of the two decks. Enjoy a book by the fireplace in
the cozy yet spacious living room, or head upstairs for a romantic
evening by the fireplace in the master suite after a long bath in the
large soaking tub. In the morning, you will have beautiful views as
the sun hits the mountain peaks from our upper and lower decks. Find
yourself staring out of every window at the gorgeous expansive rolling
lawns and wooded surroundings. The light and the colors are absolutely

find yourself again.
It’s a short walk down the hill to The Bear Café, one of the best
restaurants in the Hudson Valley, and the historic Bearsville Theater
where you can see current musical acts.
2 bed rooms, 1.5 baths, great kitchen and dinning area, large
comfortable living room with fireplace, a master bedroom with its own
fireplace, soaking tub, and a large patio with gorgeous mountain views
and a hammock, and an upstairs family room with flat-screen TV.

the center of the village of Woodstock, walking, hiking, music, art
and shopping, the restaurants are great too. It's a wonderful space

Owners are in the music industry and enjoy the retreat to nature when they are not fully involved with their art. The vibration of the property is important because being able to relax and recharge as well as be inspired is of utmost importance.
Living in NYC and working as an artist requires us to really look towards peaceful inspiration and comfort, luxury would be another good word to explain what ist' like for us to be here.
We enjoy sharing out place with like minded people that find this environment suitable for a retreat or romantic getaway. We alwaus look forward to being here and coming back, over and over again. We hope you'll feel the same way.

What a great location...a bike ride to town and minutes to musical events and great dining. Although close to everything this home sits as a hideaway on 25 beautiful acres with mountain views. Secluded, private and spacious.
Our recent stay at Whispering Pines was outstanding! Magic truly exists at this rustic yet sophisticated cabin home and glorious mountain view setting. Our time spent as a family at Whispering Pines was as enjoyable and memorable as was the hiking and the in-town cultural experiences. My teenage son and daughter are still raving about this family retreat. We look forward to coming back for a longer stay!
We cannot rave enough about this house. It's simply incredible -- the layout, views, location, grounds, etc. We love to cook and were thrilled by how well-stocked the kitchen was for our needs.
The house was impeccably clean, and Charlotte's communications with us were perfect (directions, how to operate the grill or manage the thermostats, etc.).
This house is perfect for anyone who likes to hike (the nearby trails are among the best in the Catskills), loves the arts, is seeking a quiet getaway, or wants an idyllic retreat with their dogs, as we did. Our pooch loved all the acreage and views from the many beautiful windows.
We can't wait to return!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our fall getaway at Woodstock. The house was extremely comfortable, very roomy, very clean, and very much worth the price that we paid. The pictures shown are a very true representation of the property. The owners provided a great notebook of useful information about the Woodstock area. The house has an excellent stereo system with a large and eclectic collection of music which we enjoyed greatly. We also enjoyed relaxing on both the upper and lower decks. It would be an easy bike ride to the Woodstock town center but probably too far for most to walk. We could not have been happier with our accommodations and would definitely stay here again if/when we return to the area.
The area is magical, filled with an energy that has brought people here for 100 years. The oldest Art Colony in America. A lengedary location for musicians and a spiritual center for many walks of life.
The mountains and the springs are healing for the soul and up life the spirit. Hiking onlong the falls or up Overlook mt. is a thrill. Biking both on the roads and mountains draws people. Galleries and shops that are state of the art exist in this area. The restaurants are 5 star and the attitude of the people in this community is welcoming and inclusive.
