Amazing stay, family favorite

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this place, it was clean, incredibly well stocked in the kitchen (including kid sized stuff), spacious, and had gorgeous views of the bay and mountains. It was also secluded, surrounded by beautiful woods with a private trail down to a cove, as well as a nature preserve nearby with trails. When you walked outside, all you heard were the birds and nature while smelling the sweet pine forest. All this and still had good access to Acadia and downtown bar harbor. The owners are wonderful and very attentive to making your stay as nice as it can be. This house was perfect for us, I couldn't recommend it more.

Stunningly beautiful home in perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

Our party of eight found this the perfect vacation home. Spacious, well furnished and located. The rear deck overlooking the island's narrows provided stunning sunset views. Located on the island's quiet side, it gave us the privacy we sought while less than twenty minutes to all island sites including Acadia Nat'l Park, Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mt. and various harbors, lakes, beaches and trails. Our idea of a perfect vacation home.

Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This is a simply marvelous home for a vacation. It is private, very comfortable and has some of the most amazing views that one can see on the island. We were there with our adult children and we all loved the experience. There are so many things to do and this home is the perfect launching point for experiencing all of Mount Desert Island. We will return!

Terrific home near Bar Harbor!!

  • 5 of 5

We (including my wife, 2 adult children and friends with their 2 young children) enjoyed this beautiful, roomy and comfortable home with an equally outstanding view from most rooms. Great daily hikes, fresh fish galore, multitudes of books obviously not bought by the pound! The owner was pleasant and responsive. I highly recommend this home to whoever thinks they deserve a wonderful vacation!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the most well-appointed and well-equipped homes our family has ever rented in the 15 years we have been using vacation rentals. The view was gorgeous, and we enjoyed sunsets and fireworks over Western Bay each night of our stay. The trails down to the cove and over to the nature preserve were beautiful. It was within easy driving distance of everything we wanted to do on the island and off. The owner was very easy to work with, and we will definitely stay again.

Perfect Vacation

  • 5 of 5

First, I must agree with other reviews that say the pictures do not fully capture the beauty of this location and this house, as well as the other positive comments made. The views, the sunsets, and the house are all amazing. The weather was lovely...warm during the day, cool nights with windows open. The house is located close to all the things we wanted to do while in the area, it is an easy drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor (about 15 minutes). We were able to hike and kayak in various locations in Acadia, see the beautiful sunrise on Cadillac Mountain, and visit the great town of Bar Harbor and its wonderful restaurants each day. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked, there wasn't a thing we needed...and it is stocked with quality dishes and other kitchen supplies. The owner supplies all linens and towels, and the quality of both are very nice. The views were spectacular from the deck. We made sure we were back to the house each night for the beautiful sunsets, there wasn't any place we wanted to be other than the chairs on that deck. We had a wonderful trip to the area, it was a perfect vacation!
