Like living in a palace, but with modern conveniences

  • 5 of 5

Excellent location for tourists who enjoy walking to get around. Very close to Accademia (with Michelangelo’s David). Close to Duomo, Piazza della Signora, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, Basilica di Santa Croce. Still walkable (a mile or less) to Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, Bardini Gardens and Piazza della Passera (where our favorite restaurant, Trattoria 4 Leoni, was).

Very short walk to many restaurants and many superb pastry/coffee bars, where you can get a great pastry and espresso for about 2 Euros

I recommend this rental to kosher travelers, since it is a short walk to the Sinagoga, Ruth’s kosher restaurant, Chabad House and Conad’s Supermarket.

Magnificent frescos on ceilings and walls. Well appointed kitchen. You’ll feel like you’re living in a palace, but with many modern conveniences.

Hotel Monna Lisa, directly across the street, serves buffet breakfast for 15EU.

We enjoyed the two flights of stairs we climbed several times a day to the apartment, as well as all the walking we did in Florence. It helped burn the calories of all the delicious meals we ate.

The owner, Guilio Gentile, is a gentleman and was very helpful. We will miss Guilio and this beautiful city.

Gorgeous Villa in a Gorgeous City - A vacation of a Lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Via Borgo Pinti - Palazzo delle Belle Stelle - was a dream. This apartment spacious and elegant (truly more like a palace) was situated in a perfect location. The apartment was more than I can describe. It was clean and had all the amenities one could imagine for a vacation. Bathrooms were wonderful with clean towels and hairdryers. The kitchen was fully furnished with all the appliances. The beds were comfortable and the washer/dryer (combo) was a huge bonus. There was a small patio that was delightful to sit out and enjoy the Tuscan sun and have coffee. You could never imagine staying at a place this gorgeous and spacious in all of Florence. Our family truly enjoyed our stay.

More wonderful than the stay was the gracious host and owner, Giulio. After I met him, felt as if we'd know each other forever. He gave us a walking tour of the neighborhood and told all the things we needed to know to acclimate to the culture. It was fantastic. The restaurants, grocery store, hair dresser, open market.....all there within walking distance. He was only a phone call away and answered all of questions. You could tell that he took great pride in this apartment. There is also such a wonderful history that makes the stay even more exciting.

I strongly encourage anyone seeking out an apartment in Florence, to consider this one. It is, without a doubt, gorgeous and well maintained with a lot of space.

We loved it and will be returning next year without any hesitations.

Giulio was a wonderful host and just staying in the apartment itself would have qualified as a nice vacation! Don't hesitate to discuss your plans with Giulio he'll give you valuable advise and offer sublime alternatives to the ordinary.

Gorgeous apartment, excellent location, gracious host

  • 5 of 5

Florence was at 105 degrees fahrenheit when we stayed. Giulio made us feel very welcome, took us (husband, myself our 18 and 15 yr old daughters) to a lovely lunch and gave us some great pointers about restaurants, sites etc. The apartment was cooled and comfortable. The frescos gorgeous. Would happily stay there again.

The apartment is spectacular - even better than the photos project. It has incredibly high ceilings

We had the best time staying there. It fully functional and beautiful. It has everything you need and is in the best location! There is an outdoor porch that we occasionally had a drink on. We cooked in the very functional kitchen and the central location allowed us to shop at the market daily if so desired.

The apartment is really a work of art itself and yet is totally live-able. The location is perfect.

Giulio - the owner met us upon arrival and gave us a little walking tour of Florence which was totally key to our stay. He showed us where to shop eat and go! He was most gracious and helpful!!

We would definitely go back and highly recommend the apartment for anyone staying in Florence. It could not have been better!

Giulio was also gracious enough to escort is to the countryside and see his beautiful vineyard! He taught us how to cook a few dishes and even how to make limoncello!

Wonderful place to stay - we will definitely return.

It has air conditioning, good kitchen 2 full bathrooms and one half. Easily sleeps 4 could do more.

Lovely lovely place.

Life in an age of beauty, comfort, and civility.

From the moment that I received a reply from Giulio about his rental property, it was clear that this was going to be more than the typical holiday rental. He arranged to meet us at the property and since I was ill and needed to take to my bed, he explained everything to my husband and took him on a neighborhood tour. He called later that day and the following day to ensure that we were finding everything that we needed. On our final day, he and his wife allowed us to store our bags in her shop's storage area so that we could take them to lunch. Unfortunately, they are VERY busy individuals, so it was a bit difficult for them to enjoy the meal, but we are greatful for their kind hospitality in a home of generous proportions and historical interest. If you are seeking a unique opportunity to stay in a glorious apartment, look no further. Book now for an amazing holiday in Firenza.

Owner's Response: Judith & Rod, people say that sometimes a lifetime is not enough to know and understand other people, well, I seem to have the capacity of seeing behind the eyes of two have the clear look of honest, dedicated persons and it was a great pleasure to give you time and attention, at times the interfacing is more important than the apartment Fare well for the rest of the year and life, your Giulio & Loriana
