We met in Engineering College at the west side of the island more than 25 years ago. We started dating, doing small one day trips through the island. Since then we've been together just planning our next trip, because we really love to travel. It is a real pleasure to be working now in the Vacation rental environment. We get to meet people from all over the world. We will really like to meet you as well.
Cathy Seda purchased this apartment in 2007
Aquatika complex is unique in its class as it has a rare combination of everything; nice green areas, playground areas, pools and direct access to the beach. Located between San Juan and Fajardo where most of the tourist attractions are. In top of that you get our top notch service and availability.
We will certainly be your private amabassadors. We go to Aquatika almost every day and will be happy to give you pointers about the island and places to visit. We prepare and inspect prior to check in as if it was one of my own spending the night. We take vacation time very seriously as it doesn't come very often.
We went to Aquatika with all my family (wife, sons, daughter and grandsons) totally 18 people. We enjoy very much the stay on apartments and the common facilities. It provides us a delightful recreational time and rest time as well. The apartments are fully equipped, we had all we need to enjoy a memorable time. The pools are remarkable. Definitely we will return next year!!!
My husband and I have been coming to Puerto Rico for the last 6 years.we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary along with my sister and best friend. This condo was perfect, close to the airport but away from the tourists. Cathy was very warm and accommodating. She checked in everyday to see if we needed anything. The terrace was where we spent most of the time. Morning coffee and evening cocktails. What a great view, one side the beach the other side the mountains.
The staircase was a little shaky, but the grounds were very nice. The beach was private, and the pools were refreshing.
Cathy was very helpful finding us a masseuse to come to the condo. She did within minutes,Elisadel ans Orlando were excellent!
I highly recommend taking an excursion to Culebra. We went with East Island excursions. And, you can meet them at the marina or they can pick you up. All day on a cattermeran. Food, drinks and snorkeling at Tamarindo beach and Flamenco beach(voted the second best beach in the world)
There was good local food, the best place is Luquillo beach and all the food kiosks.
Cathy, thank you for making our trip mindless. Out of all the condos we stayed at ,this one had the best view and best hostess.
Our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 teens) had never stayed in Puerto Rico before so we were unfamiliar with the area or where to stay. From the moment I inquired about this property Cathy was quick to respond and was very friendly and helpful. We rented a car at Charlie Rental by the airport. They seem to have the best price and a shuttle to and from the airport. Cathy met us at the car rental and brought us to Walmart to buy groceries and then to the apartment. Walmart is always very busy and we found "Amigo" in Loquillo to be less crowded with more of a selection. Aquatika is lush and beautiful. Everything is well maintained and safe. There are several different pools and a beautiful beach. Our kids are too old for the playgrounds, but they looked fun. They have two tennis courts that we used and basketball courts and mini golf. The place got fairly busy on the weekend, but during the week it seemed we had the whole place to ourselves. We took a walk around the property every night and never felt unsafe. The apartment had plenty of room for all of us and it is nicely decorated and well stocked with all we needed and very clean. We spent a lot of time in the loft area where there is a pool table, a small bathroom and an amazing roof top patio. At one end of the patio you can see the ocean and the other end is a view of the mountains. Aquatika is located in Loiza. It is by no means a "well to do" town. There are a number of "run down" houses, but the people are friendly and no matter what time of the day, you will always hear roosters crowing and dogs barking. At night we could hear church services in the neighborhood. These things didn't bother us at all because it just added to the experience. If you want someplace like home then stay home. We visited the town of Loquillo a couple times. They have beautiful beaches. If you turn left at the fourth stoplight after the Amigo grocery store you will find some kiosks with souvenirs and authentic food. We were able to try several different foods for just 1 or 2 dollars each. We took one day and went to the rainforest which was fun. We didn't go to the tourist center since it costs money to even enter. If you go online ahead of time you can find a map of the road leading up to the mountain and all the stops along the way so we didn't have a need to stop at the tourist center anyway. My husband and dad fished for tarpon with Rafa Vega and caught 3. The largest was 100#! Thank you Cathy for everything!!!
My wife and I, and our two young sons, traveled to PR in mid January. I attended a conference in San Juan. Since having children we've left the hotel/ resort idea behind in favor of renting directly from property owners...usually cheaper plus the benefit of a kitchen.
Having never traveled to PR I wasn't sure where to stay. I contacted many owners and was leaning towards staying in the Condado Beach area until I stumbled on Aquatika. Cathy responded promptly to my emails and since my wife wouldn't have a car even encouraged staying in Condado. (speaks to her unselfishness) My wife was attracted to the gated, guard present safety and the multiple pools, playgrounds and the beach found at Aquatika. As soon as Cathy mentioned that the unit we ultimately rented had children's toys we were sold.
Aquatika was perfect for us. As mentioned, many shallow pools, multiple playgrounds and a private beach. The grounds are well maintained and the pools clean. Probably due to the time of year we had the pools, playgrounds and beach to ourselves. The location was great as well. There's a super Walmart and Ralph's grocery store nearby as well as the entrance to El Yunque National Forest. Go to Barbakoa on your way back. Great outdoor restaurant with live music. We also spent a day in Old San Juan and had lunch at a great restaurant called St. Germain Cafe and Bakery. Mostly when I wasn't at my conference we lounged around Aquatika.
The unit had everything we needed and more. It was clean and well maintained and as mentioned above, had plenty of toys for the boys. We used the BBQ grill a couple of times and the kitchen everyday. Can't think of anything that we needed to get. Cable TV and wifi were a definite bonus. Perfect home away from home.
Cathy was an amazing hostess. From promptly responding to my multiple emails, to the easy reservation process, to the detailed directions that even included pictures of the turns, to meeting us at the gate when we arrived, to bringing us a portable fan and a stroller, Cathy was always available and ready to answer questions or help with anything we needed. She even ordered a pizza for delivery for us due to the language barrier.
Without hesitation I would recommend Aquatika and Cathy.
