Santa Fe House Rental Photos and Description

2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4

Explore lovely Santa Fe from the comfort and charm of Casa Sombra, located just minutes from the Plaza and Canyon Road in the Historic Eastside. This classic adobe-style home has an open plan Living and Dining Room which adjoins to the fully stocked Kitchen and Breakfast Bar. A Kiva fireplace adds Southwestern atmosphere. French Doors lead to a pretty trellised Patio where you may enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

A Queen Bedroom has its own En suite Bath, with Double Sinks, a Walk In Shower and Soaking Tub. A Second Bedroom Features Two Twin Beds which may be pushed together to create a King (bed bridge included), and also has its own Bath with a generous walk in Shower. Other highlights of the home include traditional touches such as Hand Troweled Plaster walls, Mexican Talavera tiles and a set of Antique Shutters.

Modern touches include WiFi throughout the home, Air Conditioning, a Gas Grill, a Front Loading Washer and Dryer, and a Keurig Coffee Maker.

Our location is fantastic! The house is on East Palace Avenue, one of Santa Fe’s prettiest streets, just 5 lovely blocks from the Historic Plaza and 4 blocks to Canyon Road. The La Posada Hotel, with its wonderful spa and nice restaurant, is just two blocks away. The Santa Fe Pick-Up Shuttle has 4 stops along Canyon Road if you don’t feel like walking.

Casa Sombra is a licensed City of Santa Fe Short-Term Vacation Rental. City Permit #: 12-0013571

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Santa Fe many times. My sister used to live there, so I am very familiar with the city. This condo was the perfect fit for our family of four. Our sons went skiing, and I went shopping. I wanted a location where I could walk to the Plaza, yet the boys wouldn't have to drive through the slow traffic to the ski basin road. Your location couldn't have been better. The condo itself was very well decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our time there with our coffee, and later with our margaritas on the patio (s). The managers were very accommodating. We will be back!

Charming

  • 4 of 5

Lovely casita was all we expected and more. Clean as a whistle, charming decor, lovely artwork everywhere, great kitchen fully equipped, perfectly furnished, and parking just steps from the front door. Three ring binders offered an abundance of information and our only complaint was our limited time to enjoy it all.

Has everything one needs, is attractive, walk to town --and comfortable beds. No king size bed only drawback.

Perfect Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

My comments about this casita would echo those of previous reviewers. The casita was spotlessly clean, very well appointed, roomy with two patios, and has an excellent location in a lovely, safe neighborhood. We were impressed also with the quality and taste of the art work and décor.

The only suggestions I would make would be regarding the fireplace and the bed. We arrived on a snowy night and wanted to have a fire. There was no paper, nor kindling and the starter lighter didn't work. The logs themselves were not enough to successfully ignite with matches. Also, the bed, while extremely comfortable for me, was way too soft and cushy for my husband, which caused him to have hip pain for the entire stay. Overall, though, I would highly recommend this casita to anyone wanting to experience Santa Fe in the comfort of "your own home away from home."

Great rental in Historic Eastside!

  • 5 of 5

Four nights in this cute house was simply not enough. The photographs do not do the place justice. The beds were comfortable, everything was well thought out and well stocked. The house had a nice little library of books and videos. It was clean, convenient and totally hassle-free! I wish we could have stayed longer!

The property was exactly as advertised. The casita was spotless and well-cared for. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking meals. The bed was SO comfortable. We could walk to the plaza and nearby restaurants. Although the property is on a busy street, the walled-in patio provided privacy for outdoor dining. We'd gladly stay here again!
