Great comfy cabin in northern Maine

  • 4 of 5

We felt right at home in this well maintained and furnished cabin. Everything was in good working order except for a difficult septic system. However, the caretaker was Johnny on the spot in taking care of the temporary fix. This will not keep us from returning next year, providing the owner provides a more permanent solution. We did speak with the owner and he assured us it will be taken care of during his visit to the cabin later in September. The sunsets were spectacular!

Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been happier with our stay!! We loved the cabin and all that it had to offer!! The lake was beautiful and very peaceful. We were able to get a lot of kayaking in! This vacation was just what we needed and can't thank you enough for the experience! We really loved the area and we were able to see 3 moose, but no baby calves this time. We hope to be able to stay here again in hopefully the near future! Louise and Ron were very nice and helpful and we even had the pleasure of your dad stopping by for a quick hello. We saw that the cabin is on the market and we would love to call it home, but unless we both were able to find jobs in the area, it would be an 8.5 hour commute each way. (Almost worth it!)

Thanks again for providing the perfect vacation place for relaxation and fun!! We hope to be able to stay here again!!

All GOOD !

  • 5 of 5

After many working years.... retirement ! Rented the camp for one month, mostly just to unwind after years of "city life" and work. The camp was just like I remember it, last time I stayed. ( 5 years ago ) No issues w/ the camp. Birds of all kinds were often seen right from the front porch. Canadian Geese, Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, various others.... and the sound of Loons in the evening.... oh... and the STARS.... no ambient light, so the stars just "pop". A very special place.

A beautiful spot

  • 4 of 5

While the weather didn't cooperate much for fishing, the cabin was beautiful. The main bed is a queen but if you're used to bigger you can use the beds upstairs which is what we did. The water flow in the bathroom sink was so low as to make it unusable. The water at first tasted very metallic, and if you let it run, it turns very sulphuric. No worries, just made it more like "camp". We had a microburst storm while there that knocked out the TV antenna. Again, we didn't go there to watch television, so no worries.

Overall a nice place to stay with more conveniences (TV, phone, Internet, dishwasher) than you'd expect in such a location.

Sunset Ln. lives up to its name!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was perfect! The sunsets here are amazing! Perfect location for snowmobiling.

Very clean, just as described. We enjoyed a week here, and although this was not a normal winter,

we still managed to ride right from the cabin. We are hoping to go back next winter and get even more miles

in than this trip. Andrew was great to deal with as well as his caretakers, and his brother Rudy even dropped by to

check on things! You won't be disappointed with this property
