The Great Ocean Team
We had a wonderful stay at this condo. The view is spectacular the unit provided us with everything we needed . Waking up to the sound of the ocean is the best! So many restaurants to explore . The town of Flagler is so close to browse the stores. Also, so many activities are always going on never a dull moment. My favorite time was sitting on the balcony watching the beautiful ocean I would do that for hours. Great Ocean condos realty are so great email them with a question or a problem they get back to you in a few minutes.
Our experience in NSB has been "Wonderful" I would recommend to family or friends.
My family rented this property for the month and couldn't have asked for a lovelier vacation experience. The unit was as well appointed as pictured and then some, the rental group so easy to work with and New Smyrna Beach was as charming as ever. Would lightly recommend this unit to anyone at all! We look forward to returning next summer.
This unit was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation rental in New Smyrna Beach. We checked out at least 50 other rentals in the area and chose this one because it was a corner unit promising expansive views from huge glass windows and doors, as well as an over-sized slider (another great view) in the master bedroom. It was a priority for us to be able to walk the beach right from our doorstep and this was easily done (This unit is on a no-drive section of the beach). The photos on the website showed every part of the condo (except for a very large walk-in closet - a nice surprise, and a third TV in the twin bedroom) and accurately portrayed it as it really is. In addition to a wonderful view of the ocean this unit also provided a clear view of the pool which was important to us so we could keep an eye on our teenager. The property is well kept and comfortable, and the unit well equipped with plenty of dishes, flatware, glasses, bakeware and pots, serving dishes, utensils, a great coffee maker, washer/drier and oversized fridge. There are community grills by the pool for use by all (load them with your own charcoal briquettes, they are not gas grills). The wifi was excellent also, easy to connect and strong signal with plenty of bandwidth for three of us on different devices. Two other things were extra special about our stay: first, the master bed was extremely comfortable. And best of all, the people in the complex, servers in restaurants, people we met on the street - all were so extremely and genuinely NICE.
About 3-4 miles away are grocery stores, restaurants (chain and local), must-visit Flagler Avenue and easy access to the drive-on beach. Our favorite spots included restaurants, The Garlic, Norwoods, and Barracuda's, as well as the Mardi Gras parade which was a great time and well attended by locals and tourists alike. Nearby Blue Springs State Park is where you can see manatees (in season) and we also visited Daytona Beach and two Arabian horse training facilities, all about a half hour away. Bike rentals are easy and worth it (you can ride right on the beach), if that's something you like to do.
Before our stay our inquiry and questions were answered promptly (we used email as well as a phone call in the process), the arrangements clear and complete, and there were absolutely no problems with payments, instructions or accessing the property. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
I spent a week here with my 3 children and and mother. It was wonderful and I did not want to leave. The views of the ocean are incredible ! You can be in the kitchen , bedroom, living room and you have a perfect view of it. If you have kids, this condo is it! From the balcony you can see them in the pool and beach. If your at the pool you can watch them walk to the condo door to use the bathroom or get something. You can actually relax and not feel like you have to lug everything around. A mothers dream. The condo was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. A stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach toys and body boards. All you need is food and clothing! We had a wonderful trip and want to thank the owners for letting us stay in your wonderful condo with an amazing balcony!!!!! If it ever goes on the market I would buy it in a minute!!
We had a great time! The condo is well kept and has a spectacular view of the ocean. Also, the pool view is great could watch grandchildren swimming from unit. Waking in the morning and seeing sunset just beautiful. Would recommend this condo. Any issues we had were taken of care with an email or phone call.
Spent a week in this condo with my extended family. Lots of room, very clean. Everything we needed was provided. A few light bulbs were out when we arrived - a phone call and everything was resolved quickly. Best possible ocean views from the huge wrap around balcony! Pool was warm and not too busy. We would definitely stay here again!
About New Smyrna Beach
Located on Florida’s east central coast, New Smyrna Beach is a quiet seaside retreat at the southern mouth of Ponce de Leon Inlet. It is a small, historic city, and yet offers 13.2 miles of beach to enjoy. At only 55 miles northeast of Orlando, it serves as a favorite get-a-way destination for many Central Florida residents and has garnered significant notoriety as a surfing destination, often hosting American Surfing Professionals’ competitions. Surfers can bring their own equipment or rent from the numerous surf shops along the beach. New Smyrna Beach is the second oldest town in Florida and what many call “the old Florida of yesterday.” Quaint shops on historic Flagler Avenue and friendly folks are what New Smyrna Beach is all about. Through the years, the City of New Smyrna Beach has maintained tight controls on growth, resulting in a limited number of low-rise condominiums being constructed. The city has also held strict parameters on beach traffic which, in addition to protecting beach goers, simultaneously protects nesting sea turtles. It is a nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles, and Florida’s loggerhead population is the largest in the nation.
