This well-designed condominium, is in a quiet niche on the Sugarbush Access Rd. 2 miles from the Sugarbush Mountain All Season Resort, which offers some of the prettiest Green Mt. terrain for hiking, walking, swimming, canoeing, tubing and skiing in the Northeast. The condominium easily sleeps six and has a spacious upstairs/downstairs feel of comfort and privacy. The Mad River Bus shuttles skiers, free of charge, from the condo to Mt. Ellen (North) and then to Lincoln Peak (South). This shuttle bus is called The Valley Floor. To access it one needs to be on the downside slope of the Access Rd., across from the entry to Christmas Tree Rd. This shuttle is good if one wants to ski North. It also works well for people coming back home from either North or Lincoln Peak to the condo if some in the party with an auto want to remain on the mountain for apres ski activities.

The kitchen is fully equipped with basic supplies, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator; the dining area easily seats 8; a sky-lighted living room has a fireplace (wood provided) and ample seating. Freshly painted, and a flat screen TV, plus internet. complete the downstairs. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with king sized bed and attached full bath, plus washer/drier; and a 2nd bedroom with two twin beds.
Summer and Fall seasons are very beautiful in Vermont. The Warren/Waitsfield vicinity abounds with activities from scenic drives to river rafting, local artisans' craft fairs, hiking, cycling, soaring and the wonderful colors of Autumn foliage. From June through September a Farmers'Market thrives on the green in Waitsfield, showcasing local produce and crafts for tasting and purchasing. There are often wine tastings at Vermont vineyards and the Cabot Cheese Barn offers tours and tastings (and purchases).
The winter season provides excellent skiing, both on groomers as well as woods skiing at Sugarbush Resort and Mad River Glen. Clay Brook , Sugarbush's new condominium/timeshare facility is open to the public and features a fine restaurant, cocktail lounge and nearby pub. Shopping, from easy groceries to fine gourmet delicatessens, from ski shops on slope to fine apparel and unique boutiques, can all be accessed within a 5 mile radius of the property
Thanks to all our good renters who have enjoyed their stay and taken good care of the home. We are in the process of painting the interior and are cntemplating a larger TV.
The unit was as described it had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for the six of us to eat and relax. The owner was especially wonderful to work with. Would definitely recommend!!
We had a great time staying in this condo! Linda was super responsive and really helpful - with directions and details about the property. It was a quick drive to Sugarbush mountain and very close to the local ski shop if you need rentals. The condo had everything you need in the kitchen, wifi, a great TV, fireplace and plenty of space for six. We would definitely stay there again!
We are currently enjoying our skiing vacation in this lovely home. It is perfect for our family of 4 plus a friend. We have enjoyed the living area in the evenings around the fireplace. The bedrooms are all heated seperately and very cozy. The kitchen has yet to disappoint. I look in the drawers and find what I need every time. The washer and dryer have allowed for packing lighter. We will be booking this home again in the future. It is centrally located close between both Warren and Waitsfield. Both Sugarbush and Mad River Glen are within an easy drive. I cannot wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the pool. Thank you Linda for the opportunity to share your home in Vermont.
Our family spent the weekend at the condo while attending our Norwich Alumni weekend festivities. The condo was wonderfully stocked with all necessary items. It was neat, clean, and provided a very homey atmosphere. We would definitely stay again or recommend to others.
My husband and I spent August 9th- September 9th in this nice property. Very nice well landscaped townhouse community- pool well kept up and inviting when the weather was warm. The owner is very responsive to any requests. The unit is small when you walk in but rapidly grows on you. The kitchen is very well equipped- i did lots of baking while I was there. We used the king bed and it was very comfortable as was the attached bathroom. We had visitors who used the other two rooms and they said the beds were comfortable as well. Lots of storage space for skis and a really cool boot warmer. Two things I wished for were a larger toaster and a larger tv in the living room but both things are workable. Loved to watch the Canadian tv and for some reason we had NFL package that my husband liked. Good wireless internet that never went down. Few hot days that we spent in the air conditioned car as the living room heats up from the skylights.
There is tons to do in the Mad River Valley- we picked organic berries and made really good pies several times- went to Cabot- the quarry the cider mill and discovered the joys of cob smoked bacon at Harrington's. The Saturday farmers market is not to be missed. We were there during an arts festival and had a great time at several plays. Joined the Warren library and enjoyed their small but very thoughtful book selection. Don't miss blueberry lake. If you are a bike rider this is the place for you. The local market is quite a find- Mehuron's has lots of nice products that I had never seen before including chopped clams that I used to make my own clam chowder. The only sad thing is how much weight I gained in a month. We came home with 6 pounds of Cabot cheese, a gallon of maple syrup, 6 pounds of cob smoked bacon, 10 pounds of Green Mountain coffee and 25 pounds of KIng Arthur flour. (guess the weight gain continues). The only restaurant we tried was in Waterbury and it was okay but not great- Arvad's. We will miss the farm fresh eggs we got from a honor system down the street from the organic berry farm.
We liked the place so much we want to come back next year.
