We welcome you to our Log Home.We purchased the land and started clearing (myself and a few gutsy friends)just enough trees to fit the cabin in 2003. We started building the Log Cabin in feburary of 2004 and completed it in July of 2005. It was Built by myself and Hibbards Creek Log Homes. The inside wood walls and all the wood detail was done by an old German cabinetmaker and craftsman. All materials and labor were from Door County or Wisconsin. This Log Home is the culmination of many years of hard work and a lifelong dream!! Please enjoy yourself during your stay.

This cabin is beautiful! We definitely enjoyed our stay and felt right at home! Loved that it was secluded but still close enough to town! Will forsure stay again!
We have stayed here the last 5 summers. Just love it!!! The home is beautiful, what a place to get away and enjoy Door County. So grateful to be able to bring our family here. We enjoy coffee in the morning on the deck and the kids love to be in the screened-in porch. They also love morning walks in the meadows to see the wildlife. The whole family plays cards into the late night. Can't say enough about how wonderful this house is...
Just got done with yet another stay at this log cabin, if you want to call it that. It is simply gorgeous and Pete is fantastic to deal with. We have stayed before but that does not take away from the breathtaking beauty. The cabin is nestled amongst a large wooded area and in spring/summer cannot be seen from the road. We had some newbies with us this time who were very impressed. We thourghly enjoyed both our stay at the cabin and our activities in the towns. The only negative...got a few mosquito bites. My biggest fear is that posting this review may make the cabin more popular and therefore harder to reserve in the future.
This review is a bit late, we stayed at this gorgeous home during Thanksgiving 2010. I just wanted to add to the other reviews- we stayed at the home with two families, 10 people in all, and a dog. The sleeping arangements worked out perfectly for us. The pictures do not do this property justice. The kitchen is one of the best equiped kitchens I have come across in a vacation rental (great for the Thanksgiving feast we cooked!). The house is spacious, the location is great, the amenities and details wonderful. I would reccommend this home to anyone. It is a special treat.
What a perfect Door County getaway; a magnificent log home nestled in the privacy of a wooded paradise, yet minutes from all the hustle and bustle of desirable Fish Creek. Equipped with the comforts of home, our accommodations were practical for a family of five on-the-go, while also exceptionally tranquil at the close of each busy day.
Do not miss the opportunity to experience the charm of this truly special home during your next family trip to Door County. Like ours, it will be one you won't soon forget.
The Log Home was awesome. It really felt like home. The house is beautiful. The surroundings are peaceful. The interior is comfortable and pleasant. The location is good... not too far out of town, but just enough so that you can get away and enjoy some peace and solitude. We saw a deer and two turkeys during our stay. I highly recommend the Log Home. The only thing I would say is that the rent is a bit steep. Still, I might even pay it again.
