About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

The Cabin has been a source of many invaluable family memories for four generations. It has watched our family play, laugh, love, and grow since the 1960s. The start of each summer was marked by the first weekend we headed out to Pine Island and began begging for a boat ride or a judge for our diving contest. No cabin weekend ended without us making homemade ice cream after dinner, together, on the porch. Anytime a barge came by every kid (and even some of the parents) would sprint down to the pier, waving like crazy, in a desperate attempt to elicit a loud tugboat honk! Every night, the bunk beds were filled with worn-out, sunburned kids who couldn’t wait to get up and start the fun again!

The Cabin has seen birthday parties, weddings, reunions, and incredible sunrises. It is our family’s escape, our version of paradise where play time and relaxation are in abundance. Turning the corner at the end of Hidden Drive and seeing the yard lead down into the open water melts away worries and invites you to rest. There is simply no way to convey the amount of happiness The Cabin has brought into our lives, and we sincerely hope it extends the same joy to yours.

Not to mention the cabin is located on the main channel of one of the best fishing lakes in the U.S. Known for it's huge catfish and abundance of hungry small and large mouth bass, Lake Guntersville is a fisherman's paradise. Near the cabin are several establishments beneficial to all fisherman: Waterfront Grocery and Tackle (2.3 miles from the cabin), Waterfront Boat Ramp (2.3 miles from the cabin), and Guntersville State Park (4 mile boat ride from the cabin's pier). Also nearby are several locations for boat rental and fishing guides. The water is 6 feet deep at the end of the pier. The water is deep enough for most water crafts and all swimming, and the pier is large enough to hold three fishing boats and some jet skis.

What makes this cabin unique

One of our favorite aspects of the cabin is the huge yard that offers seemingly 100% privacy. We also love the new boat trailer cleaning station we just installed. We are able to park two trailers there and wash our boats and charge our batteries. We have found that fisherman love this new addition as well.

Simply amazing. Surprisingly spacious.

This cabin is amazing. It was such a relaxing week. You get a homey feeling as soon as you walk through the door. I will definitely stay there again. The owners and their family were very kind and helpful.

Fishing trip, the ladies came along this time!

  • 5 of 5

This was the 2nd trip for the guys, who love to fish Lake Guntersville. Some of the ladies came along this time! While the boys fished, the girls took walks, relaxed with a good book, and sunned on the lovely dock. This is a wonderful place, great for a large group with enough privacy for couples too. Everything is provided, no worries. Great location, close enough for dinners out in Scottsboro. Highly recommend!

Spring Fun

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of six who absolutely had the week of their lives. The house is spacious, well laid out for groups of individuals or couples, and has a great location on the lake. It is very clean, has all the amenities, and everything works the way it's supposed to! Now, we're spoiled. We won't look anywhere else but here in the future.

Family Fun!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (3 teens) + 2 dogs had a wonderful week at the cabin. Weather started out a bit chilly and the fishing was slow but we enjoyed the Guntersville area regardless. We explored the state park, Cathedral Caverns and the girls got nails done at a local beauty shop. The sun came out mid-week and all of the good fishing advice we got at the Waterfront Grocery paid off and we caught some nice bass and crappie. The cabin itself was well-stocked, comfy and tons of fun with the pool table. We shared lots of laughs making big family dinners, working a puzzle and having a few Euchre tournaments while March Madness played on the HDTV in the living room. Great cabin with super-nice owners/manager that were responsive and totally unintrusive.

Great House

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house is very nice and comfortable. A lot of shade trees. Enjoyed the screen porch and sitting on the boat dock. The kitchen is well-stocked. Also plenty of towels and bath amenities for each bathroom. There is a small island near the house where a lot of birds live. So we were able to see them each morning fishing for their breakfast. That was very enjoyable. We had our dogs with us as well, and they really enjoyed it too. Good yard for them to run around and play in.

Our famiily reunion August 2013

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year renting this beautiful lake house. We enjoyed last year so much that we did it again this year. Our four children and their families all came together for a wonderful week of swimming, jet skis and boating. We had a wonderful time even tho the weather was not that great. The lake house had everything we needed and the space to visit with all of our family. The enclosed patio gave us a great place to party outside. We enjoyed the pool table as an extra fun thing to do. The property was clean and well maintained, just like last year. The owner was very helpful and available if we needed anything. I would recommend this property to everyone that wants to have a great time at a home on the lake.
