We are proud and thankful that the Pittsburgh PA magazine "MetroBurgh" in its spring 2016 edition ,is featuring our Escape 1 ,2 and 3 as the local destination. You can find MetroBurgh at Giant Eagle in the Pittsburgh area.
Myself Leonidas and Richard, the other owner of the property, are hard working people in big cities that found the town of North East and fell in love with its nature and beauty.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
We bought this property in order to enjoy the views of water and nature. We fixed it and decorated it and we are happy seeing our guests discovering the beauties we discovered earlier. If you look at the water from your deck , you have to know it is a lake , otherwise you think the ocean is in front of you
North East is a small town, quiet and with the most beautiful and polite people you can find. Still you are close to big cities , like Erie, Pittsburgh or Buffalo. Within minutes or the most 2 hours you can be in this beauty of North East and all you can desire. Water activities, biking, wineries, casino. If you are a writer, a poet or a painter, we are sure you you can get inspired. If you just want to get away, come and stay in this house, enjoy sunsets and grill great seafood. If you want theater, concerts just take a drive to Lake Chautauqua (15 minutes away).
My husband and I stayed here during the month of August. The place was amazing and had such a beautiful view. Everything in the place was wonderful and the owners were very helpful and so accomadating. We will be back here to visit in the future. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The only thing we would suggest is having some kind of marker or something to be able to find the location. We had a hard time finding our place with our gps. There is lots to do in the area.
This cottage is exactly what everyone wishes.......perfect. The inside of the cottage makes you feel as if you right at home. It is cozy, well maintained and allows you to easily relax. It is tastefully furnished and complete with all the necessary kitchen, bathroom and bedroom amenities. Outside the cottage the grounds are immaculate and peaceful. The view from the deck of the grounds and of Lake Erie is picturesque. The landscape lighting at night highlights the grounds with a warm and charming glow that invites you to spend the entire evening relaxing on the deck enjoying your favorite beverage. And the view of the sunsets on Lake Erie are spectacular. The hosts, Leonidas and Richard, are great. It is evident that they truly care about their guests and are very accommodating to their needs. We visit Erie and the surrounding area yearly and will now make this our place to stay in the future.
The cottage is exactly as it appears in the photos - very clean! We enjoyed biking through the vineyards, and kayaking and biking at Presque Isle. It was wonderful to come home to a comfortable, quiet space. The owners are considerate and helpful.
My brother, fiancé and myself stayed here during wine fest and we had an excellent experience. It was cozy and welcoming when we arrived. Staying here during this long weekend was much more accommodating and home like than any hotel. We look forward to booking again...
We have stayed several times now and have found it to have everything we need for a relaxing getaway. From our morning coffee with a great view of the lake to evening supper enjoyed on the deck with a beautiful sunset, it is a perfect getaway!
We just returned from a weekend trip to Northeast. Our stay was great--the house was tiny but cozy and clean. The property is neatly kept and the view of Lake Erie from the yard is spectacular. The inviting scent from the vineyard across the street makes you want to visit the local wineries. The town is small but unspoiled. The restaurants, shops, and produce market were great and the employees friendly and helpful. Lovely part of the state to visit.
