About Megan Lester

We've traveled extensively and always choose to stay at vacation rentals. We look for the best ideas and look to bring every positive feature we find to this house. As a result we've created an very unique experience designed to be the best value in the Flathead Valley. This house is hands down where we would stay if we were visiting the Flathead Valley.

Megan Lester purchased this house in 2003

Why Megan Lester chose Montana

It is one-of-a-kind and feels like home. It's just a great place to get together with friends and family and relax. Everyone who stays here tells us it felt like it was their home when they stayed.

What makes this house unique

Great classic Kalispell neighborhood a short walk from anything you could need. All the homes around it are very nice. The huge deck and yard is perfect in summer and other than sleeping you can just about live on the back deck. Within walking distance to about anything you need. Centrally located between Glacier Park, Flathead Lake, and both ski resorts. This house is just perfectly laid out. It's got great shade, stucco siding (which keeps it cool in the summer), beautiful yard and landscaping. Our work often takes us to Kalispell and we often do work in the home office. Great place to relax as well. It's just a perfect home away from home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you again for renting your house to us for our annual "friends trip". We visited, shopped, ate and had a great time, and your house suited our needs perfectly. As you know, there were 8 of us and we did not feel at all cramped or tight for space and we enjoyed coming back to "home base" at the end of a long day hitting the shops. Thanks again! It was perfect for our group

Family time in Glacier

  • 3 of 5

The house is very well set up and worked great for our family of 6 and my parents for a total of eight. The beds were comfortable. Getting into and out of the house was simple and well explained. The location was very good and we walked to dinner one evening. Wifi worked very well and having a computer to use was very nice, even though we had our own.

The reason I give this house a 3 star rating is that it needs to be updated and some items replaced or repaired.

The main floor bathtub had mold around the caulking and the tile had some cracks.

We thought the previous tenants had just not started the dishwasher but when we tried to run a load many came out dirty. We had to prewash the dishes then put them in the dishwasher to get them truly clean. We also found dirty dishes in the cupboards.

The downstairs bathroom grout is dirty and the shower curtain needs to be replaced.

This is easily a 5 star place if it is kept updated and clean, and if it is we would go back.

2016 Montana Trip

  • 4 of 5

We booked the Apple House because we travel with two small dogs and we loved the fenced back yard. The home was actually larger than what we needed, but was very accommodating. The kitchen was great. Had everything you could need. The home was bright, clean and very comfortable. Loved the location also, walking distance to downtown. We drove completely around Flathead Lake one day, visiting all the state parks along the way, drove to Kootenai Falls and to Libby and Eureka one day, and finally spent a glorious day at Glacier National Park, which was less than an hour away. We would highly recommend the Apple House to any family visiting Kalispell and surrounding area.

Everything to the "T".

  • 5 of 5

Where do I start...from Day one to the last day(Four nights), our stay was a pleasure. All that was stated on the main page was true. Beautiful House, ideal location, easy to and from wherever we went. The house had plenty of room. We had nine people and we took in two more for two night(BTW, all were adults)...plenty of room. The walk to town was the best part of our vacation. We were there for the Spartan Races at Flathead Lake. Very short distance drive. Would we stay again, yes. Megan, Thanks for all you have done for us.

Very charming, clean and quiet

We loved the place! We almost wanted to buy it as a second home, but of course it wasn't available. The owners were extreamly accommodating and pleasant. We highly recommend the home for any visits to the area. Great location too!

Spacious with plenty of room for everyone

  • 4 of 5

This is an older home that has been well cared for. The home is very spacious with many bathrooms and bedrooms to provide everyone with privacy when needed. The large dining/living room area was perfect for meals and spending time watching movies or playing games. Our favorite features of the home were the large backyard, bright daylight windows in the downstairs bedrooms and the cleanliness of the home. My only complaint is the oven was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was alot of spillage from prior use.

The house made great grandmas Thanksgiving day.

  • 5 of 5

We came from; WA, OR and CO to give Great Grandma, who lives in Kalispell, the Thanksgiving of the century for her. The three floors allowed for individual privacy when desired. The basement area allowed the three little girls the freedom to be silly little girls.

Other than that I will just say, "ditto" to all the positive comments everybody else has written.
