About Rich Schlosser

Hello I am Rich Schlosser. I live in Phoenix Arizona and Pagosa Springs. It is the perfect balance for me because of my love for nature and the outdoors. I will do my best to make your visit the most memorable and help guide and assist you in as much adventure or solitude as you wish.

Rich Schlosser purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Rich Schlosser chose Pagosa Springs

I have skied the Rocky Mountains for many years. The winters are beautiful with ample activities but when I visited Pagosa for the first time in the summer of 2005 and experienced the colors, the textures, the wildlife and the outdoor adventures, I became hooked... I now come to Pagosa Springs once a month and spend the summers months here.

What makes this cabin unique

The Redhawk Haven is just 6 miles north of town and backs to the San Juan National forest which gives a serene feel of 'being away from it all'

The place was nice and clean. It felt like home.

Rich, the owner, was very accommodating to our needs when issues or questions were asked. He also gave great recommendations. The beds were comfortable and the scenery beautiful. Walking in the forest behind the house and sledding in the yard was awesome.

Breath of Fresh Air

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed 7 days at Red Hawk Haven and enjoyed every minute. I had brought some supplies with me but found the house to be very well stocked. Even the spices I use. We took advantage of everything Rich offered. This house backs up to the San Juan Forest and is beautiful. We had visitors (deer) every morning and evening in the front yard. We plan to use these accommodations again and will definitely tell our family and friends.

A Month of R and R

This place met our needs to the T and Mr. Schlosser is a wonderful owner and host. The place was clean and well stocked with everyday needs.

It was very quite and the location is super with views of Hatcher lake and deer roaming the wild forest. Many hikes nearby and just far enough from the city to make it convenient. Thanks Rich for a wonderful month.

Wonderful accomadations with great hikes right out the back door

  • 5 of 5

Rich took care of us and it was a pleasure to stay at his place. We stayed in the Juniper unit (up top) and the views were incredible. Every morning I would brew a pot of coffee and watch the sun rise over the mountains in the distance. At night, we had a nice little fire out back with a starry night that was nothing short of incredible. Plenty of great hiking directly behind the rental. This stay exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it for a group looking to get outside of town a little ways. Kitchen had everything as we did a lot of cooking in.
