About Rich Schlosser
Hello I am Rich Schlosser. I love living in Pagosa Springs. It is the perfect balance for me because of my love for nature and the outdoors as well as my energy healing occupation. I will do my best to make your visit the most memorable and help guide and assist you in as much adventure or solitude as you wish.
Rich Schlosser purchased this Cabin in 2008
Why Rich Schlosser chose Archuleta County
I have skied the Rocky Mountains for many years. The winters are beautiful with ample activities but when I visited Pagosa for the first time in the summer of 2005 and experienced the colors, the textures, the wildlife and the outdoor adventures, I became hooked... I now live in Pagosa Springs.
What makes this Cabin unique
The Redhawk Haven is just 6 miles north of town and backs to the San Juan National forest which gives a serene feel of 'being away from it all'

Great Stay in Pagosa Springs!
Really enjoyed Redhawk Haven! Rich was a great host and the property was perfect for us. It's in a very quiet and somewhat secluded neighborhood, yet only a 10 minute drive to restaurants and grocery stores. The property backs-up to the forest, so hiking and trails are right out the back door. Rich provided everything we needed...so our stay was very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend this property....we'll be back again!
Thanks so much for visiting, it was great having you :-)
Great home base for Spring Ski trip
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. Place was clean and as described. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. Owner quickly solved our only problem (coffee maker wouldn't work) with a replacement.
The property backing up to the forest land made for an easy, relaxing walk/hike after a day of skiing.
We would definitely stay again.
Super comfortable home! Great host!
This neighborhood was so pretty! It was quiet, set back from the main road, and the property backed up to the national forest. We just weren't there long enough to take advantage of the open space, but would definitely love to on a return trip. Rich was a great host. Super responsive and friendly. The home itself was just perfect for us! Loved, loved, loved this place!
RedHawk Haven Post Christmas 2017
RedHawk Haven was very well stocked, clean and comfortable. The owner was very accommodating - my husband wanted to watch a bowl game and the channel was not in the lineup, so the owner called Direct TV and got him the game! The four of us were quite comfy and happy at this property. So nice NOT to have to buy extra toilet paper, paper towel, Kleenex or dish soap.....Rich, the owner, had the property totally stocked. It is the perfect place to return to in order to relax after a day on the slopes or nearby hiking!
Good value for price
For the price, this place was a good value. It was clean and allows pets. This rental is one unit in a three unit building, so occasionally we could hear noise from the upstairs unit(s). The landlord lives in one of the units upstairs. He was very nice. The internet signal was strong. Their was one large TV with a dish/satellite that received most channels, but did not have ESPN. The two bedrooms are on one side of the unit. On the other side is the kitchen/living room/dining room in one open space plus a separate bathroom. The front door/hallway is in the middle. Be aware that the location is approximately 15-20 minutes out of town in a subdivision of mainly single family homes. All in all, if you are looking for a basic rental for 2-4 people and don’t mind driving into town to shop, eat out, visit the hot springs, etc., this is the place for you.
Hi Lisa, most of what you say does not relate to my property. However... after reading some of your other reviews, it kinda makes sense. I am in "Pagosa Springs" Colorado and my property is located 6 miles or just 10 mins from town. In our last conversation, you said you could not remember what you wrote. It seems you are confusing my property with another. Thanks for visiting, I hope you are well.
This was our 3rd time to stay here. Rich is great, and everything was wonderful!
The Redhawk Haven is conveniently located just 6 miles north of town. It backs to the San Juan National Forest and is just far away to to feel the serenity of the wilderness and still have access to the towns amenities such as public Hot Springs, stores, restaurants ect. If you enjoy outdoor adventures you can continue north from the cabin and explore Piedra falls, the Ice Caves and Williams Lake (great fishing spot). Whatever your agendas... you are far enough away from any touristy areas should you choose to avoid them.
