We decided to buy this vacation rental due to its central location to downtown, beaches and the harbor. Falmouth is a unique town since it provides a variety of activities all year long such as the Mashpee Children's Museum, figure skating, charter fishing boats, whale watching, birdwatching, biking, Woods Hole Aquarium and walking and hiking trails.

We had a mini family reunion the week we stayed at the house. Two families with 10 total were very comfortable in this house for a week. The house was clean and well organized. The kids play room was a huge hit! We did not have to buy anything to go to the beach, plenty of beach chairs and toys. We walked almost everywhere! Its was a lovely place. We would return! Thank you for our stay!
My husband, 2 year old son and I stayed here for 3 months while my husband finished a writing project. I looked at a lot of options when choosing a place for a longer term stay and we hit the jackpot with this place!
BEST House: Kitchen - totally organized! You will never be without a clean glass. Big pots for lobsters, clams etc, butter bowls. All new, clean and working appliances.
Pantry - totally stocked with spices, basic flour, sugar, salt items, lightbulbs, batteries.
Bedrooms - comfy beds, loads of pillows for staying in bed and reading; we stayed during the winter and were plenty warm enough; there is a bedroom with a King bed on the main floor if you have trouble with stairs.
Bathrooms - Bathroom upstairs is brand new; showers have great water pressure. Loved having both solar and boiler hot water options.
Dining room - loved having chairs for when it was just the 3 of us and long benches to use with a crowd. We had 10 for Easter dinner and everyone fit very comfortably.
BEST with small children: There is a beautiful playroom in the basement with enough toys and books to keep your children occupied for months - bucket of train tracks, games, a huge Elmo, outfitted doll house....; the backyard is fenced and totally safe. My son could go in and out without me having to watch him every second; and the house is stocked with all the things it is a pain to go without but also a pain to travel with - stair gates, changing pad, toddler bed, bed rails and the best was a booster seat. Also there are push strollers and beach buckets galore.
BEST Location: If you are trying to decide on what town to rent in, pick Falmouth for the French Bakery within walking distance. They have an actual French baker and the croissants taste exactly like you are eating them in Paris. (closed Mondays except for a short period in the summer when they are open every day) ; Pies a La Mode, kitty corner to the library, has terrific homemade savory and sweet pies. If you don't feel like cooking, the woman who bakes them is a master with puff pastry; the Falmouth Library (across from the bakery) has free NYT and Boston Globe crosswords every day + a terrific children's play/ reading area; the Windfall Market is within walking distance for everything you need. Great option if you don't have a car (shop on 'Crazy Tuesday' for great discounts).
BEST Landlady! Jen was a great communicator and easy to work with.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for our wonderful winter!
We were pleasantly surprised how accommodating this house is. We stayed a long weekend for a family wedding and there was plenty of room for the nine of us to spread out and get ready for different events. It was extremely clean and well organized. Being so close to town was a great time saver. The owners were easy to work with and seem to have thought of everything to make the stay more than comfortable.
We stayed here for the Cape Cod Marathon and Half Marathon and it was the perfect location. A little under a half mile to the start line and a convenient location for other to cheer on participants at multiple course locations. The home was clean and accommodating and the owners were great to work with to make sure the rental went flawless.
We were in town for a wedding and the location was great for that as well as super convenient to town - we only drove to/from the grocery store and beach. We had multiple couples as well as an infant and the house went above and beyond our needs to make for a very enjoyable week! We loved hanging out on the front porch in the mornings and evenings as well as sitting around the dining room table for meals/games. Lots of extras and attention to detail like laundry baskets in each room, a spice rack in the pantry & extra kid stuff (pack and play etc) that really made us feel right at home. We also had some hiccups on our end with scheduling (wanted to change dates after initial booking) and our deposit return (moved and failed to give updated address) and Jen was always super accommodating. We really enjoyed our time on the Cape. Highly recommend this property for a Falmouth getaway!!
Thanks for a great place to enjoy our family reunion! It was a well-equipped and fun place to gather. Remember to add Holiday Cycles to your suggested places to rent bicycles. We hope to stay here again someday!
