Run down, dirty, not a great experience

We stayed here for our family trip. The location was great, it was very close to the downtown area, and walking distance to many attractions. Parking was good, there is a lot that is a 5 minute walk from the unit.

The interior was not the greatest. I felt the sofa, bedding, etc was old and uncomfortable. We had trouble sleeping there. It was 0 degrees when we were there, and you can't adjust the temperature. We had a small space heater that we used to keep warm.

My biggest qualm was the receipt of our security deposit. It took over 2 months to receive the check in the mail. I had to repeatedly call and email the owner, most of the time with no response.

Greatest Experience

We had the most wonderful time here. Mostly due to Rocky's homey condo and his gracious help and kindness. He made sure we were well provided for and had info on all kinds of things to do in Alaska. We had originally rented a car but canceled since we found no need for it. Visitors center was a block away. Short taxi to Fred Myer got us our groceries (condo was already well stocked and very homey!) Transportation to zoo, cruises,, etc., was just outside the front door and tour office just out the front door! Great places to eat and just walk to with a great jazz band at one of the Sat/Sun festivals just outside the door. Condo was clean, safe and well maintained. Our trip would have been a great trip but Rocky's help and genuine hospitality was the icing on the cake. Sorry he doesn't have more condos to rent out. He was a very big part of our trip and hope to stay in touch with him. Let him know if he's ever around our place, please let us know. Would be honored to have him as our GUEST!

Positively Fabulous Stay

We have used a vacation rental three times this year and this experience was the best of the three. The owner had the condo stocked with everything that was needed. He kept in touch with us throughout our stay (he knows how to use the phone or text!) to make sure that all of our needs were satisfied. The location - downtown - was really convenient. The owner covered our parking costs for the entire week and the parking lot was just across the street. As a result, we were able to make frequent trips to our vehicle and go and come from the lot as we needed. The condo was very clean and the building was equally clean. This condo should accommodate the needs of most vacationing travelers. Enjoy the condo, enjoy the downtown Anchorage experience, and you will completely satisfied.

Comfortable Condo in Downtown Anchorage

My granddaughter and I felt right at home in this very comfortable and convenient condo. We had everything we needed and could walk everywhere. Rocky communicated promptly, clearly and was very helpful. Definitely recommend his condo!

A little secluded slice of heaven in the heart of the city!

Wow! What a cool, kitschy little slice of "old town" Anchorage! Rocky was a gracious host, checking in without being nosy. I was here on a business trip in Anchorage for the week - what a much better option than a boring Holiday Inn. Highly recommended!
