West Vail Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 8 Bedrooms includes 2 Bunk Areas, 5.5 Baths, (Sleeps 22)

Our Vail home is a two-story, 4,500 square foot, mountain-side condominium. Two spacious decks increase your livable space and the views are fabulous. The decor is contemporary yet very comfortable for your family or large group. We have staff available to answer to your every need. The proximity to the Starwood Luxury Resort and Spa gives you the ultimate choice in dining and recreational activities.

The Aria Spa caters to both men and women and has a wonderful sanctuary that you can enjoy before your service. The exercise facility with it's outdoor heated year-round pool is a wonderful way to end your day. There are exercise classes as well as a full gym to keep you occupied if the outdoor activities are not your thing. The newly remodeled Starwood Luxury Resort, a five-star acommodation, is truly breathtaking and can provide a wonderful dinning experience to you and your guests or additional rooms if necessary.

Vail Village is so close, yet you can walk back to your condominium and enjoy the peace and quiet of its unique location. We have watched foxes, deer, as well as other wildlife from our deck as we have enjoyed the morning sun, and we have relaxed at night in the outdoor hot tub and viewed the moon rising over Vail mountain.

It really is quite the venue. If outdoor activity is your passion, walk out the condominium's main door and you are on a fabulous walking and biking trail - the Gore Creek Trail. Did I mention I can hear the water rushing in the creek from our unit? Your vacation experience really does not get any better than this!

About Katie Gorman

Raised in the Midwest, both my husband, Gary, and myself love to ski and participate in many outdoor activities and this is the ideal location for those that love the outdoors. We hope to spend our retirement here with our five children and their children visiting often--hence, why the large number of beds! There is so much to do here that you just cannot get bored. We both enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, and whatever else the outdoors can provide.

Katie Gorman purchased this condo in 2007

Why Katie Gorman chose Vail

You could not ask for a more convenient location. To get to the ski lift, you simply cross the street and pick up your skis and boots at the ski concierge and away you go--it's that easy to get to the lift. The Vail Cascade Resort is across the street as well with its newly remodeled four-star facility including two fabulous restaurants and a beautiful bar and additional rooms if they are necessary for your party. The Vail Cascade Spa and exercise facility are literally next door so that after you recreate, you can enjoy a message or jump into a pick-up-game of basketball--whatever you are in the mood for. It is within walking distance to Lion's Head or Vail Village, we do that everyday we are at the condominium to start our day. Yet, it is not as hectic or noisy as the Village so that you can even nap on the outdoor decks. With the resort's shuttle system and the Vail bus system, a car is not necessary to get to the shopping areas or your favorite restaurant. I will walk to the grocery store and take a cab home so that you need not hassle with renting a car if you come to our condominium.

What makes this condo unique

It's hard to begin there is so much available. Our unit overlooks the Gore Creek Trail, a fabulous biking/running/walking trail that runs along Gore Creek. If you like to fish, you can do so by just walking out the condo door-Gore Creek is full of trout. Tennis courts are next door as well, located in Donovan Park with a great playground facility for children. Then there is the Vail Cascade Spa, the exercise facility, the Vail Cascade Resort across the way with it's great restaurants. Or, just stay home and sit on one of the two outdoor decks and enjoy the view of Vail Valley. You can do that in our outdoor hot tub and watch the moon rise over Vail mountain. Don't forget the skiing in the winter and the hiking and mountain and road biking in the summer.

Great week with clients

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed here for 2 of the past 3 years with clients. Great for getting together with friends and clients. Large living room/kitchen/Dining room lets everyone share one space. The house is in great shape and beautifully kept up. Cascade location is surprisingl;y ideal over other locations in Lions Head and the village. Its a 3-5 minute walk to the lift and you can leave all your gear at Charter Sports which is 10' from the lift itself. The owner, Mallory, is a pleasure to deal with and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is well taken care of during the trip.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for staying with us again! It is not unusual for The Vail House to have repeat guests as our location, amenities, large dining and entertainment area, and stylish decor are hard to beat. Our Cascade location is a plus as there is never a line to ascend Vail Mountain at Chair 20--its a great way to begin your ski vacation! Stay with us and begin your ski tradition!

Great year after year

  • 5 of 5

For the past three years we have used the Vail House for our annual men's ski trip. It is the first home we have repeatedly gone to in the 15 years of doing the trip. We have had up to 18 people stay in the home and appreciate that each person can have plenty of space for their gear and their own bed (with 22 in all). The living room and kitchen are ideal for large groups and the grill and hot tub on the deck are big and are appropriate to the size of the home.

Mallory is a gracious host and keeps in contact to make sure that we have everything we need to enjoy the accommodations. The parking is plentiful and the proximity to the Cascade lift and the Cascade's ski concierge is easy and hassle free.

Absolutely no complaints. Well done Mallory and Sheri. Great VRBO experience year after year.

Beyond Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

I recently hosted a group of ten for a few days of skiing and a super bowl party. The owner, Mallory, as well as the house manager, Sheri, were both beyond accommodating and assured our every need was met...it was five star service! The house was beautiful and exactly as depicted in the images. The entire experience from A to Z was terrific and I would have no hesitations to rent the condo again...in fact my guests have already said if do Vail for annual trip again next year there is no reason to look anywhere else.

The 50th birthday summer extravaganza

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were looking to rent a place for 22 people in my favorite place on earth – Vail, Co for my 50th birthday. I found the vail house online and contacted the owner Malory who quickely responded and answered all of my question and was super easy to work with. We were looking for the perfect place to bring our two families together and spend a week in a place large enough were everyone would have space and sleeping arrangements where everyone would be happy. We also have a niece who is in a wheelchair and we needed a place that would be handicap accessible and this was it. We have several great cooks in the family and the kitchen and appliances were perfect as they all cooked up a storm. The kitchen is completely open to the family room and dining area as the pictures show. The home is large enough that nobody felt cramped and they can go and get lost at any time to read or do whatever they wanted. The master suite has its own balcony which was awesome and the main deck is huge and has an amazing view of the mountains and its own private hot tub which was used every day.

We have been to Vail /Lionshead many times however have never stayed in Cascade. The location was great as the city bus was just outside the home which would bring those that didn’t want to walk to town into Lionshead or Vail Village, we never used the car. The Gore creek is just outside the condo and was the perfect way to walk or bike into town. We saw many fly fishermen catching all kinds of trout in the Gore Creek as we walked or biked by which was exciting to see.

The Vail house was everything we were looking for and more, it exceeded our expectations. These were truly first class accommodations with a first class homeowner.

Birthday surprise

  • 5 of 5

I needed to rent a house which would allow 14 people some space and this house was fabulous. We planned a surprise birthday and we all wanted to stay together. Everyone was bowled over by this gorgeous house. We want to figure out another reason to return.

This house was completely as the photos showed and I spoke with the owner who was so gracious and accommodating, even telling me about an excellent bakery for the birthday cake and putting in the house for me before our arrival. I can't say enough about this wonderful property and it's accommodating owner. We were all able to walk to the nearby villages and loved all of them!

We did not want to go home!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion at The Vail House over the summer and the condo exceeded our expectations. We had all of our meals in the condo which was made easy with the gourmet kitchen that had everything we needed. It was easy to take the shuttle into town or we stayed by the condo and enjoyed the trails and creek nearby. We needed to find a condo that accommodated my 82 year old mother in law who can not do stairs and The Vail House was the right call. The owner made sure everything was perfect for our visit, I hope we can visit again.
