This four bedroom home is two years old and has two Master bedrooms, each with it's own bath. It has a great room upstairs and a rec room downstairs each with a TV. The large screened porch off the great room has lake views and has a dining area that seats 10 as well as a large sitting area that faces a stone fireplace.
The front covered deck has nice lake views, comfortable chairs and a hanging bed for lazy summer afternoons. The house is on a wooded lot and has a double-decker deep water dock with ample seating and dining area. There are two comfortable bunkrooms with oversized beds and a ping pong table on the covered porch downstairs.
It is located on the Big Tallapoosa part of Lake Wedowee and it is a quiet calm part of the lake. It is excellent for water skiing and fishing. Just around the bend of the cove you can watch some gorgeous sunset views. It is an easy hour and a half drive from either Birmingham or Atlanta.

Our family lives in Atlanta and we looked at lake property for years. We would take our boat from lake to lake until we discovered Lake Wedowee. We love to ski and fish and spend quiet time on the lake with family and friends and this lake is perfect for that. The house is large enough that our teenagers can take friends down. We love the surrounding forest with plenty of wildlife. The boating, tubing and skiing is great. In the afternoons we play cards and games on the porch. We have also had quite a few ping pong tournaments.
The Owner purchased this house in 2008
We LOVE the proximity to Atlanta and the rural feel. The terrain is hilly and the climate is always comfortable.
We ride bikes and love the calm water where you can water ski in the middle of the day. The stars are absolutely gorgeous at night and during the day you can see deer and even wild turkey.
What a great vacation! Just spent a week with kids and grandkids in this absolutely gorgeous lake house. Plenty of room for everyone, furnishings were wonderful. There was nothing we needed that we couldn't find. Two story floating deck was the highlight of the trip for my 5 year old grandsons. It rained a lot while we were there but we were still able to fish, swim and boat. And when we weren't doing that we were playing games on the screened- in porch/dining area. We get a lake house every year for family vacation and this is the best one by far! Owners are very gracious and go out of their way to help accomodate their guests. Thanks, Lisa and Steve!!! We highly recommend this property
We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and cool off during the heat wave! The home was perfectly nestled in the trees to shade from the heat when we weren't floating in the deep cool water off the large and lovely dock, paddling around in the kayaks, or running around on our jet ski. We practically had the cove to ourselves all week so it was quiet and peaceful with the cicadas and frogs to serenade us at night. The home met our needs perfectly with two master suites upstairs and the kids' bunk rooms and den downstairs. We made good use of the porches for rocking, eating, playing games, chilling on the hanging bed, and reading on the couch. We grilled on the Weber several times and cooked all but one meal for the week in the well-stocked kitchen. When the owners found out about a clogged toilet just before our Sunday evening arrival, they made arrangements for a plumber to fix it the very next day. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave and knew that our "island fever" must leave too! Thank you so much for making your home available - it provided us with some much needed relaxation and family time.
