We have enjoyed our stay at Sequoia Cabin so much. The cabin design accomondated 8 of us easily, and we were well taken care of. We couldnt have asked for better weather. Plenty of snow for skiing and sledding followed by a soak in the hot tub. Thanks for a great vacation!

We would happily do it all again!

I chose this place so we would be close to the ski area and not have to worry about significant driving should it snow. Well I chose wisely b/c it did snow...a lot. So our ten minute drive to the ski area was 18 minutes instead! We were a group of 8 friends on a ski weekend from Denver. This cabin fit us perfectly and everyone loved it. The cabin is well appointed and modern; plenty of room for all of us to move around, store our things, cook together and simply hang out. Both showers can be going at the same time...plenty of hot water and pressure. The hot tub was awesome after a fun day playing on the slopes. The beds are comfortable and the linens soft and of good quality.

I have 3 suggestions:

- a few more extra blankets in the cabin as there was only 1 and we could have used more (good thing 2 of my guests brought bedding just in case);

- another frying pan for the kitchen...we needed it;

- specific directions to the cabin on the website...if they are there, none of us were able to locate them....left at MM 177 and you're there!

Everyone agreed that the cabin was a gem and a great idea rather then staying at a hotel. Thank you!

Excellent location, great cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was a great cabin for the 8 of us. Last time we were skiing at Wolf Creek we stayed in Pagosa Springs and Alpine Accents was so much better. It was very easy to get to the ski area about 10 minutes up the road. "Goat" came by to check on us and was friendly and asked if we needed anything. I would Highly Recommend staying at Alpine Accents.

A few things to note:

- There are plenty of towels. Our teenagers didn't do a great job of reusing them sometimes but the washer/dryer in the cabin helped us keep them fresh and clean.

- There was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. We made a quick trip (about 10-15 minute drive) into South Fork to Rainbow Grocery for supplies and picked some up there.

- There are no humidifiers in the cabin. Liz suggested that we put a pot of water on the wood-burning stove, which we did. However, this is not nearly as effective as a couple of well-placed humidifiers would have been. I would recommend bringing one (at least) if you can.

- We couldn't find any linens for the sleeper sofa. We found 1 extra pillow and 2 extra blankets. I'm sure Liz and Goat would have been glad to bring us some if we'd asked but the teens sleeping on it didn't seem all that bothered by it.

All in all, an excellent option for the Wolf Creek area.

Loved our stay at Alpine Accets. The managers Goat and Liz were fantastic! The Sequoia was a beautiful house. Great accommodations for our family of 6. Plenty of room. Great fishing. Beautiful scenery. Fall colors were at its peak. We will definitely be back. Again thanks for the great hospitality from Liz and Goat!

Cabin was very clean and had everything you needed to spend a week or even longer. Caretakers nice and friendly, making sure you had everything. We were missing the coffee filter holder in the electric coffee pot and they I mmediately replaced it with a new one. We enjoyed our week and would definitely stay again.

Sequoia Cabin is Awesome at ALPINE ACCECTS

  • 5 of 5

Recently had the pleasure of enjoying the Sequoia at Alpine Accents in South Fork. A true treasure. The cabins are delightful, wonderfully decorated and very accommodating from the very cozy furniture, cleanliness of literally everything (including hot tub) and all the special amenities. It is a bit close to the highway and other cabins but after you check in that's all forgotten about. Justin and Jennifer are wonderful host. They must me the most helpful hosts I have ever met. We went for our 10th anniversary and it was great. I plan on returning in 6 weeks for my birthday. This time I'm taking my daughter with us. Thank you Alpine Accents!
