I have a great Cute and Modernly Furnished One bedroom apartment available for Short term rentals. Apartment located in Gramercy area (close to Union Square) great neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars, shops and tourist attractions.
Apartment is located on a quiet tree-lined street, with easy access to all major subways and buses. Its a great location!!!!
Clean bed linens, also clean towels are included for the stay. It has fully equipped kitchen with Toaster, all tools and dishes, glasses, cups, you can enjoy cooking in the apartment. A full bathroom with a shower/tub.
It's perfect for two persons (full size bed in the bed room) but there is also a futon/sofa bed in the adjacent living room.
Excellent place to stay, the bed is comfortable, bathroom and kitchen aré clean. Evens was an excellent renter and very helpful when need it, he is connected with all apps on his cell, so always close for advice.
Cozy 1 bedroom on Manhatten Island, beats the hotel gig for longer stays, great host, offered lots of NYC information and gave us his phone number for further questions or emergencies, 7 blocks to the subway, close to all points of interest by subway, bus, cab or uber, lots of local resturaunts, cafe's, small grocery stores, drug stores, liquor, beer, wine, and small shops nearby, hospital and local police within a few blocks...
Old building, 5 flights (76 steps), no elevator, window ledges walls and ceiling require a good wash and paint, no thermostat to control the heat (we opened windows, we're Canadian), lots of street noise sirens traffic etc. (it is the city that never sleeps)...

we enjoyed our stay. the apartment is adequate for two people and well furnished. Steep stairs, but Evens was very kind and helped us with our heavy luggage. The position is excellent if you want to limit the use of public transport and walk around the city. You enjoy it better and see much more. Shops and restaurants very near. Bagels on the 1st Av., I recommend Ess a bagel. And if you like Indian food don't miss the curry hill, just a few minutes walking!
I have stayed in many VRBOs over time and this was one of my most enjoyable experiences. Evens is very easy going and responsive. When I thought I had lost the keys to the apartment (fortunately did not), he was calm and was going to be there within the hour to help. That is a great test of a host!
The apartment building is older, but clean and well kept. I did not mind the walk-up, actually I enjoy it, but some may not. I like that this is a real home, and not a rental unit. It felt very comfortable. I had everything I needed.
The area is fantastic! One that is convenient to get around but also is not transient. I felt like I was staying in a residential NYC area, but of course the streets are still lined with stores and restaurants.
I would definitely consider staying in this apartment again in the future.
Four stars and not five based on a the fact that I work remotely when I travel, and the table was not very easy to sit at (there are bars underneath so I could not slide in). A very minor thing, but that is the reason I did not give 5 stars.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Evens' place. It was my wife and my first time in New York and using HomeAway. First off, Evens' was a wonderful host! His communication was great! Very friendly and professional, and he was very informative and willing to answer any questions we may have had. He was also very accommodating, informative, and even provided us with a map and some recommendations as far as where to go and how to get around town. He was also very helpful, even carrying some of our luggage up the 6 flights of stairs to his apartment. As for the apartment itself... the location was terrific. It was easy to get around, whether walking, or its proximity to the subway, or for an easy Uber pickup. However, we did think the apartment itself seemed much smaller, older, and more run-down than in the pictures. It seemed clean enough, although just seemed pretty worn down. The stairs to the apartment were always unfavorable after a long day of walking in the city, with no elevator... however, we knew that going in. The amenities (TV, microwave, toaster oven, hair dryer, fridge, air conditioning) all worked just fine. The linens, plates, glasses, and silverware were clean and plentiful. It's an old building, so the hot water takes a minute or two to arrive, which Evens did explain to us beforehand. Overall, my wife would give the apartment 3 stars for its aesthetics and clean/comfort level, but I'm giving it 4 stars and would recommend it due to Evens' customer service, lower price, and good location. Thanks again Evens for having us, and best wishes to you in the future!
We spent an excellent week in Evens's apartment. It is comfortable, very clean and, above all, ideally situated near Gramercy Park. The owner is very helpful !
This will be a review for both the owner/operator Evens Joseph and his 1 bedroom apartment in Gramercy. What can I say about the apartment? The title is dead on, it is cozy. Perfect for two people, no more. I stayed here with my mother while my father was having open heart surgery at Beth Israel a few blocks away from Evens apartment. This was extremely convenient for us as it had a lot of groceries, restaurants, bars and very close proximity to the hospital so we had everything we needed. The best part of the apartment was that he kept the apartment VERY CLEAN! This is a big part of staying somewhere, cleanliness is my #1 priority which it seems is his as well.
On to Evens, he was absolutely amazing. He understood my family was going through some tough times and he went above and beyond his duty to make our stay as welcoming, peaceful and easy as possible. From going to the hospital himself, straight to my father's room to wish him well and drop off keys as we were going to be late, to making sure we had bottled water in his fridge for us and letting us know we could use his spices for cooking if needed. Honestly one of the nicest guys I've met, and next time we are looking to stay in the city, under much better circumstances, we wont have to look far as we now have a connection with Evens. Thanks again buddy for your effort and help. We appreciate you!
