The Poco Loco Ranch has a rustic main house, a guest house and a fantastic separate game room. The main house has a large living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, (2 with king size beds, and 1 with two twin size beds) and 1 ½ baths. The living room has 3 sitting areas (including 2 fold-out sofas), a large flat screen t.v., and two tables for dining. The covered front patio has two seating areas, 5 tables with chairs, 3 ceiling fans, and usually a nice breeze. There is an outdoor Grill and a separate Smoker for BBQ cooking and entertaining.
The guest house has a large bedroom with a sofa area, 2 queen beds, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a small dinette.
The huge game room is spectacular. It has a beautiful antique pool table, a 22’ championship Shuffleboard table, a “Whirlwind” Pinball machine, Ping Pong table, air hockey, foos ball tables, and a sitting area with two sofas. All three structures have fireplaces and a second patio is centrally located between the ranch houses.
Onsite activities include Hayrides, BBQ cookout, bonfire, horseshoe pits, volleyball, and more.
The Poco Loco Ranch is only ten minutes from the charming antique shops and cafes of Boerne, five minutes from The Cave Without a Name, twenty minutes from Fiesta Texas, and minutes more to Sea world and the famed Riverwalk of San Antonio. To the north, the World War II Nimitz Museum and the wineries and craft shops of Fredricksburg are about 45 minutes away.
Great lodging for area weddings - Minutes from Serengeti Resort, Marquardt Ranch, Paniolo Ranch, Boerne, Bergheim, and Sisterdale.
Enjoy a “Poco Loco Ranch” experience!

From the minute you drive up the way to Poco Loco, you know you have found the perfect place to spend time with friends and/or family. The house has plenty of room, decorated with familiar rustic decor. A spacious kitchen awaits the cook, with anything you may possibly need. A wood fireplace is the focal point of the ranch house along with the beautiful scenery on the other side of the picture window. There is plenty of seating in and out of the house. A short walkway from the main house is a pool house with more living space. Two more queen beds and living area, along with a kitchen make up this part of the property. The game room is full of things to do...a pool table, air hockey, shuffle board, and a ping pong table. Its a large room to hang out in on a rainy day. The pool and hot tub area is so serene and is relaxing. I have spent many afternoons enjoying the chaise loungers and sunshine.
The property itself is gorgeous. It has plenty of trees and trails which lead the the Guadelupe River. It is a beautiful place to be. I know you will enjoy Poco Loco as much as I do!
I have been fortunate to stay at the Poco Loco on several occasions. This time, we had 9 people staying at the Ranch. We had more than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. We had a great time exploring the property. The river is awesome! We also had a good time relaxing by the pool and in hammocks! Everything is just so pretty and peaceful! The owners are wonderful! They are willing to listen, care about the ranch, care about the renters staying at the ranch, and are truly concerned with how our stay is going. If you need a place to disconnect, relax, and have fun, stay at the Poco Loco Ranch!
Wow! We had an amazing weekend at Poco Loco! My husband and I had a weekend getaway with several friends!! Our group enjoyed walking around the scenic property!! We saw many deer and found the Guadalupe River!! Beautiful!! Our stay was perfect and so relaxing!! We will definitely be back!!!!
My wife and I, along with several of our friends, have stayed at Poco Loco numerous times in the past to relax, visit, etc. We have always had a wonderful time and did so yet again. So many of us made the comment that just driving in the front gate and up the drive through the beautiful trees is an immediate moment of relaxation and stress relief. The owner is so easy to talk to and very interested in making sure that all have a good time. So many of us feel like she has become a close friend and is always curious to know how each of us are doing and remembers so much of our past conversations, thoughts, plans, etc. We will surely stay here many times in the future!
Our family of 14 spent the post Thanksgiving weekend at Poco Loco Ranch. Everyone had a great time. The group enjoyed the main house, play room (separate from the main house), walking to the river, volleyball, football, or just sitting on the back porch, while we BBQ'd. At night we enjoyed sitting around the fire-pit telling stories and laughing our hearts out. Loved this place!
Just got home after a long weekend at the ranch with our large family group and it was such a great place for us to gather! Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy early morning coffee or a late evening cocktail; plenty of things to do for all ages; and very welcoming indoor space that made us feel at home and comfortable. There's nothing fancy here, and that's perfect for the location and for our large group of siblings, spouses, and older aged kids who just need a space big enough to get together. It's homey, comfortable, and just what we needed for quality family time!
The game room was great for all; the pool area was perfect for hot Texas summer days; and even though the river isn't right out the back door, it was close enough for a fun afternoon of hanging out, swimming, and floating for those of us who wanted to do so. There was plenty of space in the main house for different activities to take place at one time when not enjoying the outdoors - cards at one table, dominos at another, and a board game at another!
Ranch owners are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating during the booking process, upon arrival, and while we were there for anything we needed or had questions about. Thank you Melinda and Charles for sharing your little piece of heaven with us - we had such a great time! The Poco Loco Ranch will surely stay on the list of places that work for our group!
Hiking, swimming, tubing down the river (weather permitting), roaming around the ranch, enjoying the expansive outdoor, enjoying our huge gameroom with pinball, shuffleboard table, foosball, pool table, and more!
