Enjoy a retreat to the Poco Loco Ranch - 250 acres of breathtaking land, nestled in the Texas Hill County on the Guadalupe River. Just 10 minutes from Boerne, the Poco Loco Ranch is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The long meandering banks of the shaded Guadalupe River will entice you to swim, tube, splash, fish, or just enjoy the quiet solitude. For a longer jaunt, float downstream on an inner tube – the public bridge is about an hour away. Hiking, bird watching and diverse wildlife will renew your spirits. Best of all, at the end of the day lie beneath the vast skies and watch nightly shooting stars while swimming in our large new pool and enjoying our hot tub!
***NEW THIS YEAR - Wildlife Hayride with 4 night rental! See Axis and Whitetail deer, armadillos, turkey, and much more. Both daytime and evening hay rides (with spotlights) will make for a wonderful time!!!***
The Poco Loco Ranch has a rustic main house, a guest house and a fantastic separate game room. The main house has a large living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, (2 with king size beds, and 1 with two twin size beds) and 1 ½ baths. The living room has 3 sitting areas (including 2 fold-out sofas), a large flat screen t.v., and two tables for dining. The covered front patio has two seating areas, 5 tables with chairs, 3 ceiling fans, and usually a nice breeze. There is an outdoor Grill and a separate Smoker for BBQ cooking and entertaining.
The guest house has a large bedroom with a sofa area, 2 queen beds, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a small dinette.
The huge game room is spectacular. It has a beautiful antique pool table, a 22’ championship Shuffleboard table, a “Whirlwind” Pinball machine, Ping Pong table, air hockey, foos ball tables, and a sitting area with two sofas. All three structures have fireplaces and a second patio is centrally located between the ranch houses.
Onsite activities include Hayrides, BBQ cookout, bonfire, horseshoe pits, volleyball, and more.
The Poco Loco Ranch is only ten minutes from the charming antique shops and cafes of Boerne, five minutes from The Cave Without a Name, twenty minutes from Fiesta Texas, and minutes more to Sea world and the famed Riverwalk of San Antonio. To the north, the World War II Nimitz Museum and the wineries and craft shops of Fredricksburg are about 45 minutes away.
Great lodging for area weddings - Minutes from Serengeti Resort, Marquardt Ranch, Paniolo Ranch, Boerne, Bergheim, and Sisterdale.
Enjoy a “Poco Loco Ranch” experience!
Please note that to avoid warming our pool water, our spa heater will be turned off during the summer months.

60th Birthday weekend
We had a wonderful weekend. We felt like we were able to take advantage of everything except floating the river. It was never quite warm enough to get into the tubes. Otherwise the property was beautiful, Melinda was very helpful with any questions we had, and all 14 of us had an outstanding weekend. We hiked, mountain biked, smoked briskets and ribs, lounged at the pool, saw tons of wildlife and game, took advantage of the game room and had a great celebration. It is a magnificent piece of the hill country that we were glad we were allowed to experience.
Beautiful place in the Hill country
Fun for the entire family!!
We’ve been to this property before and really enjoyed it. Will come back again and again.
So glad you had fun. Thanks for sharing your experience and enjoying our Family Ranch again. We are upgrading our Hayride and hope to offer Nighttime Wildlife Hayrides the next time you visit!

Poco Loco Love
We recently stayed at the Poco Loco Ranch for the 3rd or 4th time in the last 5 years. It is always a pleasure. Our family loves the get-togethers at this venue. We will continue to build memories on these memorable occasions at Poco Loco!!
Beautiful retreat at a family ranch on the river
The Poco Loco Ranch was the perfect relaxed setting on the Guadalupe River for our family get together! Many thanks to Melinda, Charles, and Karen for helping us make our family getaway so very special. We will always cherish the memories we created here with our 5 kids and 3 grandchildren.
Once you pull into the ranch (it has an interesting historical marker), you can't help but notice the beautiful oak trees and spacious grounds around the ranch house. The main house had lots of seating for everyone to spread out and the kitchen was well equipped to feed our large family. Everyone liked their rooms and the amenities and rustic ranch decor made it feel very homey. We loved sitting outside on the large covered terrace for our meals, enjoying the breeze, and looking out at all the oak trees and watching the wildlife.
The bunk house was another great place for our kids to stay on the property and it was so convenient to have that second kitchen! The kids especially loved being next to the beautiful pool.
Our kids also had a good time watching the wildlife, exploring the grounds, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. We enjoyed walking the beautiful trails to the Guadalupe River where the kids could play, swim, and tube in the river.
The ranch was a perfect place for the kids to run around and relax in the rockers on the back porch. Such a perfect place to play games in the yard and when it got hot we enjoyed all the different games to play in the game room.
We highly recommend staying at this beautiful property and we would love to come back to the ranch again sometime for another family get together!
A Beautiful, Tranquil Place To Stay
From the minute you drive up the way to Poco Loco, you know you have found the perfect place to spend time with friends and/or family. The house has plenty of room, decorated with familiar rustic decor. A spacious kitchen awaits the cook, with anything you may possibly need. A wood fireplace is the focal point of the ranch house along with the beautiful scenery on the other side of the picture window. There is plenty of seating in and out of the house. A short walkway from the main house is a pool house with more living space. Two more queen beds and living area, along with a kitchen make up this part of the property. The game room is full of things to do...a pool table, air hockey, shuffle board, and a ping pong table. Its a large room to hang out in on a rainy day. The pool and hot tub area is so serene and is relaxing. I have spent many afternoons enjoying the chaise loungers and sunshine.
The property itself is gorgeous. It has plenty of trees and trails which lead the the Guadelupe River. It is a beautiful place to be. I know you will enjoy Poco Loco as much as I do!
Hiking, swimming, tubing down the river (weather permitting), roaming around the ranch, enjoying the expansive outdoor, enjoying our huge gameroom with pinball, shuffleboard table, foosball, pool table, and more!
