Beautiful rustic, yet sophisticated house built in 2008. It is on a large wooded lot on the main channel of the lake with a really big water view. The best sunset view is from the upper screened-in porch, with the trees silhouetted in between. Blue herons, cranes, and many other birds and wildlife. Hike to the dam on a trail through the woods; enjoy sitting on the dock or swimming and boating off the dock in the summer.
State of the art kitchen with a gas range, double convection ovens, magnificent granite counter tops, and a natural stone bar with soft lighting. Dining area connects the kitchen to the den, which has a huge stone fireplace, comfortable Bob Timberlake furnishings, and a 63' high definition plasma television with surround sound. Wet-bar in the den has a built-in ice maker, wine rack, and handy sink. Screened windows open in front and back to allow a wonderful cross breeze if desired.
Off the kitchen is a screened-in porch with rustic rocking chairs and tables. The huge deck, connected to the kitchen and den, is equipped with a gas grill and a small table for outside meals. Steps lead you downstairs to a raised wooded walkway to the dock.

"Absolutely love your lake house! You have built the perfect home with guests in mind. We will definitely come again!"
We spent spring break at the Tarheel Treehouse and had an amazing time. Our family of four had more than enough room. Inside and out it was perfect and exactly what we needed. Plan on coming back this summer with friends and make more memories.
My husband and I rented this house for our family gathering and enjoyed it tremendously! The open floor plan allowed all of us to be together very easily. Our one son lives on High Rock Lake also and he brought his boat over to the nice dock area. Overall, everything was very nice!
My husband and our kids and my sister brother in law and her kids had an absolute blast here. The house is amazing and the owners were so nice and quick to respond to any questions we had. Our favorite part of the house was the screened in porch off the kitchen. That's where we spent the majority of our time. The kids loved jumping off the dock and swimming .. The guys loved fishing .. Caught and ate some catfish. The house was more than we expected for sure. Beautiful kitchen! Very comfortable furniture in every room and the view of the sunset was just a wow! Would LOVE to come back and recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in a beautiful home!
We just got back from a great Thanksgiving get-together at this house. I agree with all the five-star ratings--lovely house with great views of High Rock Lake! We had much fun cooking in the wonderful kitchen, eating at the big long dining table, relaxing in the living room, etc. Some of the younger relatives enjoyed kayaking on the lake and there was also some fishing done off the deck. Bedrooms were beautiful and adequate for us and I agree, for more than 8 people, extra mattresses provided would need to be used. All relatives who visited were delighted with this place!
What a great property this was!... I had planned a week long surprise retreat for my husband's parents and brother/sisters . Everyone had a great time, either relaxing by the water on the private dock, sunrise and sunset fishing, or water sports in the lake. It was a spacious house with 3 bedrooms. Just keep in mind , though that if you have more than 8 people , they will need to use the foam mattresses provided. I also really liked the nice updated kitchen and gas stove, we did a lot of cooking and was pleasantly surprised that they also provided nice pots and pans! There was also plenty of seating at kitchen table and the screened-in porches which is important for big family gatherings=) Thanks again for a wonderful time and we will probably use you in the future
My husband and I stayed at this amazing home. We have 2 adult daughters and they were able to come and stay as well. They had friends come for a day or two and everyone was amazed at how gorgeous and spacious this house was. I actually never left the property, I sent the kids to the grocery store when needed. The bedding was so comfortable and the furniture was perfect. The decor was spectacular. We even day bald eagles!! Pictures truly do not do the property justice. The screened in porches and deck were great for sitting and playing. My oldest daughter had to commute to work a few days and the location was perfect. My father-in-law came down for the day to celebrate his birthday. I came home looking for places to buy at High Rock because of the wonderful time we had. My husband and I even commented, "there was no drama"! I feel like I said amazing and wonderful and fantastic more than I should but that is truly how we all felt! The only complaint was the ice maker in the bar area didn't work but the refrigerator ice make made ice very quickly! I would go back to this place overs and over again!!!!!
