Overview

About the property

Cabin, Studio + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

This charming studio guest cabin located in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country offers stunning views of both the coastal mountains and the vineyard in which it is located. It is just minutes from historic downtown McMinnville with its outstanding restaurants, wine bars and unique shopping opportunities.

The cabin was lovingly constructed in 2008 using recycled/sustainable materials wherever possible. Hand hewn timbers from an 1840's Ohio barn span the vaulted ceiling while hardwood flooring from a Jim Beam distillery graces the floors. Antiques and art add warmth and beauty to this special getaway.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a two burner cooktop, micro/convection oven and dishwasher. French doors open to a very private deck where you can relax in Adirondack chairs after a day spent touring the surrounding area. Literally hundreds of wineries are available for touring and downtown Portland is an easy hour drive away as is the Pacific Ocean.

Perfect

It is hard to express just how lovely our vacation to the Willamette Valley was. My husband and I spent 3 nights in October. This cabin, the property and the hosts far exceeded our expectations and we simply had a wonderful time. Don and Jean were very welcoming and provided everything we could have needed in the cabin; they also gave us excellent recommendations for wineries and restaurants. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch and just taking in the views around us, and spent our afternoons touring the area wineries. They are also just a short walk away from Miller Woods which is a great place to hike- if you're a runner, the outer loop is challenging and fun!

The property photos speak to the beauty of the area and the cabin- what you can't see is what I feel is the most important part of any rental- the owners and how they treat their guests. Don and Jean were delightful hosts; this, to me, is what turns a vacation from "pretty good" into "unforgettable". When we return to Oregon wine country again we will most certainly stay here.

We loved our stay at Oliver Vineyards! The cabin was adorable and very well kept. We had plans to venture out around the area but decided to stay cozied up inside and around the property for our weekend stay because it was that homey! Thank you so much for opening your home to our family.

Better than we could have expected

  • 5 of 5

This place was stunning. The pictures really don't do it justice. It is just so private and secluded away from any noise of the city. The views were spectacular and all the little details were so welcoming. The cabin is modern and nice, featuring an excellent kitchen and bath and a very comfy bed looking out over the vineyard and valley. Can't wait to find an excuse to visit this spot again.

Paradise in the vineyards

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The cabin has everything you could need, from a well stocked kitchen to extra towels to lots of different seating inside and outside to take in the views. The Olivers are the loveliest hosts, we feel honored to know them. And the setting is really heaven on earth. We loved every minute.

Peaceful, Private, Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

What can I say? The Olivers thought of everything when they stocked this cabin - flashlight, umbrellas, candles, music, reading, area brochures, wine glasses, and down to the finest of details. Although we were there while the terrible wildfires were blazing throughout Oregon and some of the views obstructed, the overwhelmingly beautiful property was still much appreciated. There was a nearly full moon one evening which was bright orange due to the smoke and haze but quite beautiful. This property is secluded and peaceful but still yet in relatively close proximity to many many wonderful wineries and small towns, which we really liked. The Olivers were the ultimate hosts, showing us their wine cellar and sharing a tasting with us. I only wish we could have stayed for much longer and we hope to return soon.
