Overview

Wilmington House Rental Photos and Description

3 BR 3.5 BA - 2 masters w/en suite baths with ample living space. Sleeps 11

We offer a non-smoking, family friendly property available to renters over the age of 25.

Beautiful well-kept ski house with open concept living space designed to host a large group. Located in Chimney HIll resort, with nearby amenties(ice rink, hot tub, sauna, pools, tennis). House is just 7 miles from MT. Snow via Handle Rd.

Our house is bright and roomy and features many large windows. Our photos tell the story, although many guests tell us that the 'real' house is even better than the pictures!

We set up the house for guests. We have clean dressers, large closets, even luggage stands.

We have ample parking on a level driveway. Our street is relatively flat and connects to the paved road(Chimney Hill Rd). Easy access to the slopes!

Heated mud room with storage for 10 pairs of boots.

As we are located in Wilmington, historic buildings, fine dining and a quaint town center are a few minutes away.

We have many local antique shops in Wilmington and nearby towns.

Ceiling Fans: We now have 3 ceiling fans...one in each bedroom. A good way to circulate the cool Vermont evening air. The two on the second floor are reversible and can be used to warm the rooms in winter,

Basement: We are excited to announce our new(November 2011) 257 sq ft. finished basement with 3 bright windows and a high ceiling. It has a comfortable sleeper sofa and loveseat, tournament spec fusbol table, HD flatscreen TV, cable, old school Sega Saturn video console with library and a few other games appropriate for older children and adults!

Basement also features a large laundry room with washer and dryer and a mud area.

Kitchen: We love to cook so our kitchen features quality cookware of various sizes, knives and utensils. We have enough bowls, plates, cups, glasses and flatware to serve the group a meal while the full dishwasher is operating.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had our first group at the house this weekend and everything went well. There was fishing, kayaking, tennis, shopping, group cooking, fine dining, biking, etc. The open setup on the main floor lends itself well to group activities..you can even watch the game as you grill dinner.

the comfortable guest accomodations left everyone refreshed and ready for the next day's activities.

Lovely home & nearby clubhouse - car essential!

  • 4 of 5

Wilmington is pleasant, but small, recommend dining at the Anchor (upstairs).

Town is convenient for lots of stuff but not close to much so expect 30 mins but any direction is good.

Would certainly consider a return, maybe in winter, but the clubhouse in summer is nice & relaxing with 2 great pools.

Only thing the house lacks is a kettle (for the English & their tea)

Great ski house with ample sleeping room. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Nice kitchen and living room area, perfect for our group of 10. Owner is very responsive and easy to work with. Would highly recommend it and will definitely consider it next time.

Great Christmas Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had two families and a total of 8 people stay for a long weekend after Christmas. The house was clean on arrival and was exactly what was depicted on the website. Peter was very responsive and clear on the questions I had before we rented. We enjoyed the Mt. Snow area an found a number of places to dine that were great for two families. The Kitchen was very furnished and had the base stock items that made it easy to cook when we ate in. I would recommend this house and I would go back.

Great weekend

  • 5 of 5

My wife & I stayed here for a long weekend and shared the house with two other couples. Mt. Snow is about a 15 minute drive (suggestion: park in the Carinthia lot to save yourself a lot of time and walking). The house is great and super comfortable. Felt like home. Everything you would need for a great time. Games, cookwear and plenty of room. Shaw's supermarket is nearby for groceries and downtown Wilmington has plenty to offer too. Highly suggested and looking forward to coming again.

Great place to rent for vacation!

  • 5 of 5

It is a great, nice, neat and spacious house for vacation. We were all very satisfied with our stay here. It has everything one would want for a vacation from Tv, games, bikes, etc. The house is well taken care of as it is as clean as it looks from the pictures that are posted. The owner is also a nice, but busy, man. But if he tries to accommodate any needs as soon as possible. Overall this place is definitely a worthy place to stay at again!

Great summer rental

  • 5 of 5

My Family and I booked this property for a week in July. Our initial motivation was the Vermont Blueberry festival that coincided with that week in Wilmington. As a family of four, the house easily met our needs in terms of space and sleeping accommodations.

This place was great!! Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, beautiful deck with a nice BBQ which I used throughout the week. Having an extra full propane tank on hand during our stay was a small detail that I appreciated. Wifi access was huge for us as well; my 11 and 13 year old start to twitch with no internet. No A/C but the ceiling fans kept all the rooms cool. As part of the Chimney Hill community of properties, one of the perks is access to a communal Clubhouse which was perfect for the kids. The indoor part of the Clubhouse was being renovated the week we were there but it really didn’t affect us since we spent most of our time by the outdoor pool.

The booking process was hassle free and the owner was always accessible.

This property is highly recommended, at least as a summer vacation spot.
