Kona Alii is in the heart of Kailua Kona on the Big Island. Ocean view Condo. Free Wi-Fi in your apartment. Seasonal whale watching from your lanai. You have water activities, dining, farmers market, shopping, sports and its all within walking distance and don't forget the magnificent sunsets.

There is an Internet Cafe located right next to the condo. Some well known restaurants in walking distance such as The Outback, Bubba Gumps and Huggos. If fast food is what you want McDonald's is located less than two blocks North from the back side of the condo on Kuakini. A local favorite, the Big Island Grill, is about one block past McDonald's.

Sports bars, sushi bars, karaoke bars, dancing establishments and many more, all within walking distance.

Local Activities

There are also family oriented activities within walking distance. Including kid friendly beaches and unique local shops. During season Wednesday - Saturday there is a farmer's market 5 min. away.

Location and a view

This condo is amazing. The location is superb. The view is spectacular. The extras, like boogie boards, beach chairs, snrokle gear and towels were the utmost of convenience. Rodney and his wife are helpful and great to deal with. Being lulled to sleep by the waves was the best. I really can't say enough nice things about this rental. Mahalo nui loa!

Fantastic place, convenient location

I love everything about this unit. Starting from the host who was attentive. Regarding the apartment, I would say that furnishings were really nice. Everything that I could think of was available at the unit from amenities to utilities. The place was clean, neat and tidy. There was even a welcome note with some fruits and munchies at the counter. I would definitely recommend it.

Great condo, great spot, great holiday

We had the pleasure of staying in the condo recently. It was spotlessly clean and resourced with all the essentials. It is not very often when you go away that you can say the bed is more comfortable than your bed at home but that was case here, it was just so comfortable. With ocean frontage it was delighful watching the Hawaiian afternoon sunsets. The condo is in prime position close to shops, restaurants and amenities.

Rodney was a pleasure to deal with and went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic holiday. We hope to stay there again in the future.

In the Middle of it All!

The booking process was easy, Rodney just required a deposit to reserve our stay. We were pleased upon arrival that the condo was as stated. All the essentials like soaps, shampoo & conditioner, paper products, laundry and dishwasher detergents and many other extras. Beach type stuff was also provided. Chairs, mats, snorkleing equip., although we didn't use it. We brought our golf equipment, so that's where we spent much of our time. The a/c unit in the bedroom is fantastic, the bed is also comfy. My fave was getting up and eating on the lanai overlooking the Bay and Alii St. The street noise is quite loud at times, but was not a big problem. We slept fine with the noise of the ceiling fan and a/c unit drowning out the street noise. The condo is well maintained and the parking spot is reserved and free. The location is perfect for going to the Farmer's market a block away and shops and restaurants are abundant in the area. Alii St. is where the action is in Kona, so the condo is in the middle of it. There's an elevator to make it easy getting your luggage up to the condo on the second floor. The pool was seldom used but we did enjoy it a couple of times. Binoculars are provided so you can check out the ships, dolfins, occasional whale or other happenings on the bay. The Royal Kona hotel lounge is a great place to watch the sunset, while enjoying your favorite bev. The condo is setup for guests, as my son & his girlfriend, joined us for part of our stay. The sofa sleeper was their bed and another full size sofa is provided for additional seating.plus they had their own bathroom. I'm not sure on the sq. footage of the condo but it was twice the size of one we stayed at in Maui, last yr. The building is also quite secure, a key is needed to get into the elevator and to get in from the parking lot. We left the lanai doors open all the time and caught the ocean breeze coming off the Bay. We would certainly stay here again. The Big Island has alot to offer.

Great Location!

We stayed two weeks over the holidays. The condo is in a great location, very central to Kona center. Easy walking distance to the local market, shops, and restaurants. The condo was stocked with all the basics and ample supplies. It showed some signs of age, wear and tear, but overall clean and very suitable for our needs. The furniture was rather large scaled for the size of the condo, so it was a tad bit tight for us, two adults and two small children, when we stayed-in a couple of days due to rain. However, we spent most days out and about exploring various different beaches along the western coast so the tightness wasn't so important. The noise level at nights and especially on weekends from Alii Dr can be hard to sleep through for the kids since they slept on the foldout sofa bed in the living room. Eventually, the waves from the ocean drown the street noise out which was a real treat. Can't beat the views either. We would definitely recommend this location.

Excellent Location! Beautiful views every morning!!

We stayed here from May 26, 2013 - June 5, 2013. This was a much needed vacation. We arrived at the condo and Rodney was there to greet us. He showed us around the unit and gave us numbers to reach him at any time. We had a welcome snack waiting for us as well. Once we walked in, you can hear the ocean! The view is beautiful! The condo had every amenity you could think of! It had plenty of dinnerware, flatware, cookware, spices, and other things for cooking. It does have a 55" flatscreen, even though we watched it once. The wifi signal was good. The only thing that we dealt with was people hanging out by the ocean wall all hours of the day. HOWEVER, that has nothing to do with Rodney's place. I would stay again in a heart beat. There are a lot of eateries and of course the farmer's market that is a few minutes away (open Wednesday - Sunday). I plan on staying there again! Thank you Rodney!

Kailua-Kona, is located 6 miles South of the Kona International Airport on the Big Island of Hawaii. The town has a beautiful bay with many water tours and activites to be had. Restaurants from fast food to casual fine dining. Shops range from flea markets to Wal-Mart to Louis Vuitton and many other specialty shops. The town also boasts several golf courses to choose from but still has a small town feel.
