'Loon Lake Lighthouse'- Waterfront Vacation Cabin on Loon Lake; one-half hour north of Spokane, just off Highway 395.
This home is located on Sunset Bay facing due west which means sun all day and gorgeous sunsets in the evening.
There is sixty feet of waterfront with a private EZ dock (no splinters here!), gas BBQ grill, fire pit with large sitting rocks, outdoor tables, and lush flat lawn. Perfect for outdoor games such as volleyball or badminton. Bring your boat, bread to feed the ducks and fishing tackle.
This is a NON-smoking home. Unfortunately, pets are NOT allowed.
Spacious home is fully furnished. Sleeps 6 - 10. Bedroom #1 has queen-size bed, bedroom #2 has queen-size bed, and bedroom #3 has a twin bunk bed. There are three additional queen-size sleeper sofas in the living area. Fully-equipped kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven) and dining area with a table that seats 8 comfortably with the extra leaf. There is also a separate bar that can be used for extra seating. Gas fireplace, additional mini-fridge, and washer & dryer provided for your use. Two bathrooms (tub bath and/or shower). Living room features a 40' flat screen TV and picture windows with a fabulous view of Loon Lake. Two decks with built in bench seating on the lower deck. Hardwood floors.
The perfect get-away; ideal for a family gathering or small church retreat.

As a family, we love the outdoor activities available in the Northwest, especially water sports and snow skiing. As parents, we wanted a beautiful getaway spot to relax and connect as a family and to build lifetime memories for our young daughters.
We love spending time on the lake and wanted to offer that experience to other families.

Jeff has been spending time on the water near Spokane for over 20 years.
We choose property on Loon Lake because it is great for fishing and water sports, and is close to skiing at 49 Degrees North. And if we need to go into 'the city', we are less than 30 minutes away.
The home faces due west providing plenty of sun all day long and amazing sunsets over the water each evening.
The flat yard is wonderful for lawn games and safe for small children. The home's double deck with built-in seating is perfect for entertaining/family gatherings.
But the most amazing feature is the glorious sunset over the lake; sunsets can be enjoyed from the dock, the deck or from inside the house - thanks to the wall of windows facing the lake.
We were looking for a location close to the ski resort, 49 Degrees North for a spring family skiing vacation. We found it at Loon Lake. The house was only 30 minutes from the resort and there was gas and the small town of Chewelah on the way. The home was well kept and had a nice family feel to it; open spacious upstairs with kitchen and unique downstairs with the main bedroom having a fabulous view of the lake. Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Even with another family of four there to visit it didn’t feel cramped. Thank you. Hopefully we will be back for spring skiing next year!
This house was worth it!
The owners were exceptional to deal with - so quick to reply to questions and so friendly and accommodating. We have done VEBOs before, and no owners have been so thoughtful. We felt old like family friends at every step.
The home had much charm and individuality, and a lot of regular household items were thoughtfully provided.
The dock was amazing, though it was a little shallow. We simply lifted our outdrive slightly to not intake the muck. The actual bottom was plenty deep enough, but there was several feet of sediment; true of a good portion of the lake.
If you have children, bring a baby gate! The steps to the basement/master were a little treacherous, and the railing bars were a little wide for our 3 one-year-olds. We effectively blocked off the entire section with the sofa and a stool, though.
While this home could, in theory, sleep 12, really only 6 adults were comfortable. The other 6 are on sleeper sofas and a futon in the living room - perfectly fine if you don't mind sleeping in the common area.
The lake itself was awesome. Warm and shallow for half, deep and perfect other half. And at least the September week we were there, we had the entirety of it to ourselves.
We played lawn games in the lush yard, and hand-fed fish off the dock. We sunbathed on the sliver-free dock, and swam in the warm water. A wonderful week, and a perfect home to enjoy this great location.
We traveled from Portland to meet my mom and her husband and my brother and his family. The house was great and had everything we needed. We had no problem docking 2 boats on the dock. The kids had so much fun swimming and tubing and fishing. The adults had a great time as well.
The Loon Lake LIghthouse offered a great deal of amenities in and around the house and the lake itself. My family and I had a nice relaxing vacation. Jeff and Christi provided us with a clean and well maintained place that we could call home for a week and were able to answer any questions we had. Best vacation for us in a very long time! I was looking for a location close to Spokane where my entire family could gather and enjoy each others company. Well this was it!!!! The property is very spacious and inviting with a view that is spectacular!!! The remodeling that has been completed was very well done in rich and warm colors. Thank you to both Jeff and Kristi for allowign us to stay iin your place. Hope to see the place again next year.
