My husband and I are both engineers. We have 2 children. It took us 2 years with some contract help to renovate the cottage. Photo of our family with our dog. We love the outdoors. We love to share the outdoors and our home with others.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2007
We live close by. We wanted to be able to use Lake Sheila for swimming and fishing. Lake Sheila is a private lake. Perfect for swimming. Clear water. We enjoy building and preserving peace.
Peace, wildlife, camping feel without other tents around and all the nice amenities of a home. Lots of fish in the lake. No motor boats allowed. Perfect for swimming. Clear water. Canoe and paddle boat use with lifejackets provided. No additional charge. Boats are already at Lake Sheila ready for use.
Frank and I had such a restful visit. The cabin is wonderful, and the patio/firepit was where we sat the most!
Sumudge loved the woods! Walking through the leaves. We thank you for a real rest.

Nice recently redone cottage with woodburning stove. We were there three nights with two in the 20 degree temp range. Once the stove warmed up we were cozy as could be! Pet friendly! Very nice.
Our favorite place to go is the 4 seasons cabin.
It's always the perfect getaway! Beth stocks us up with everything we need, the place is always immaculate and welcoming when we get here.
I can't say enough about this place! It's our family's favorite hideaway from it all!
Wonderful weekend getaway
Will definitely go back!
Perfect spot for a cabin like experience. Woodstove heating is awesome.
My family which included my wife, 4 and 5 year old sons along with mam mam had the pleasure of staying in this cabin for one night while visiting family nearby, definitely too short of a stay! The cabin has everything you need and is very clean, you feel right at home immediately. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want, the bed was comfortable and the outside sitting area is so peaceful to just sit and relax, it was a little cold during our stay but it was a nice break from the Florida warm weather and I was determined to sit outside and watch the leaves fall. When driving up to the home you feel like you are driving into the woods and you have total privacy. You probably want some type of truck or SUV, we had 4 wheel drive but did not need to use it but I imagine certain parts of the year you may need it but the road was maintained and we had no problem at all in a Chevrolet Tahoe. The fireplace was great that has a cozy futon in front of it where you can sit and relax. My son and I had a fun hike down to the lake and the exploring options are probably endless, unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to play around. About a 10 minute drive away is the little downtown area where the general/grocery store is that you can get just about anything you need, a lot of history...I think the store dates back to 1899. We were able to get everything we needed to make dinner, I think an Ingles grocery store is about 7 miles from town. There is a place called Wards grill next door that we ate breakfast at, it's a 50's style restaurant and the food was great. I noticed they had a A grade, 99 score on cleanliness from the state, can't get much better than that. For the money I don't think you can go wrong, it's nothing fancy but its so comfortable and you can tell the home has been loved and recently updated. Beth the owner was so accommodating, we are already scheduling a week long stay next year!
My family ha stayed at this cabin multiple times over the past few years. I can't say enough how much we adore this cabin. Beth and her family are so friendly and helpful, and the cabin is perfect for our family -- quiet, close to the lake, unique, full of character, free from distractions. Plenty of space to look at the stars, sleep in and make delicious food in the kitchen. If you're looking for a unique place, this is it.
